Everything went very smoothly, and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. It was a very refreshing stay after a very long day of traveling. The little touches in the room and in the common spaces were very charming and welcoming. It made us want to stay longer! The location seems like a good one for exploring Fukuoka. Though we didn't meet the staff in person, they were very responsive to our messages through booking.com

Our only complaint is that we were not able to see the cats while we were there. But we understand that the cats' welfare has to come first!

It's a fantastic and adorable place. I was especially fond of the Pokémon card display opposite the cat photo wall. The free grapefruit juice mixed well with the free sake shot. What a way to begin our trip to Japan! The staff was especially thoughtful in helping us leave our luggage when we came early, and our luggage was super safe when we locked it outside on our last day to see the museums. Having the thicker cushion over the mat was a nice touch as well, and the little desk in the corner was cute to work on.

The laundry machine was out of order when we arrived, which was a little disappointing. The room was also a bit of a squeeze for two people, but we made it work since every item in the room was quite functional and handy.

Room is decent size and the bed is large and comfy even for two people. There is also air conditioning and a lot of windows you can open which is great. The facilities are clean and nice and the hostel is very well equipped.

The cats are cute but you can't just go and interact with them as you wish (Which is good for the cats but sad for the humans) Using the code locked doors was a bit weird and it took a bit of time on the first try but you get used to it quickly. The location is nice, it's not really close to everything but with a short walk we got to wherever we needed

Loved our stay at Nekokura! Our room was comfortable and clean. The futon bed was a nice touch. The shared bathroom and kitchen were very clean. There are great local restaurants nearby. We would highly recommend staying here!

The location is a bit further out and we always prefer having staff on site with whom you can communicate but overall we really enjoyed our stay. You do have to carry your bags up some steep stairs but we’ve done that in several places so wasn’t a huge problem for us.

The room was spacious enough. There bed was comfortable and AC worked well. There was filtered water, washing machine and a dryer for free to use. There was also a small shared area. Separate showers and toilets. There was a supermarket just in the corner and a convenient store as well. Metro station was 10 min walk away.

There was no air conditioning in the shared spaces and it was hot! The soundproofing was not the best, but it was okey for few days. Anyway it’s good to have some ear plugs when traveling ;) There wasn’t much around.

Good place to stay for access to ferry terminal. Easy to get to the Tenjin area from here.

Bed was very hard as it is a wooden base with only a futon cover. Check-in process was a little sloppy. Only asked to send passport details the day before arrival, despite booking well in advance. Saw the message on the day of my arrival and sent my details over but was only given check-in instructions 25 minutes before check-in time. If my partner didn’t have data for me to hotspot her phone, we’d have been stuck outside without a way of entering the property, until we’d managed to seek WiFi from elsewhere.

its a little hot in the common area cause there was no AC, the stove wasnt working and i contacted the staff which they told me it was fixed but i dont think they understood me (i think their english wasnt that good).

Self check in is easy via booking.com messages. The hostel is small with only 5 private rooms. Small but equipped kitchen with hot plate microwave and some plates etc. bathrooms have toiletries provided. Cats are a cute touch to see as you enter and leave the hostel and the whole place has a cosy vibe. Very clean too.

No staff onsite, luggage storage outside the building, city tax should be included in the booking not paid as cash. Facility is very small so if busy you may have to wait to shower or cook.

We fell in love with the place the moment we enter the hostel. I will definitely book the place again when we come back to Fukuoka. It’s a homey feeling and the neighborhood is very quiet and nice. Overall, the place is all worth it, considering the price is very cheap but the place and services is superb.
