Very clean rooms everywhere in the building! Super nice staff that you could talk to comfortably! The female dorm has a lock for the night, so you feel safe. In the common area there is the option to heat up food and have tea/coffee, too. Also good to hang out and meet some other people. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable for a cubicle bed.

If several people have bigger suitcases it gets really cramped in the female dorm. Also had the feeling if you wake up before 9am, you might wake up everyone with just opening your suitcase, taking a shower or going to the bathroom. But that might just be the people I stayed with at that time… ;) I think if you want to have more privacy and the option to do your thing, book the private rooms that are available.

Very cool house in nice location, japanese style rooms and overall nice design. The location was calm, yet convenient for visiting the city, many shops and restaurants close by. We got to park our bicycles outside with no problem. Some very nice and helpful people working there (thanks for advices and literature tips ;) ).

Basically it was all good. The check-in/check-out policy was pretty strict (prolonged our stay, but with a different room and still had to wait until 4 to check in again, even though the room was ready earlier). I guess, that’s the rules, but felt a bit unnecessary to be so precise about it in that case..

A quaint location with old streets and many temples and shrines nearby, yet not far from Hakata station and the canals. Friendly young staff who speak good English. Nice common area downstairs to chat with other travellers, eat and have coffee. It's a friendly relaxing place to chill and meet people if you've been travelling alone for a while, but the dorms are too crammed.

The female dorm is really crammed with no space for luggage whatsoever. They only provide a pillow case and one sheet, and I am not entirely sure if the duvet cover gets washed between each guest. :( Whilst everyone is really quiet in the dorm, one girl stomps around like an elephant when she gets in an out of bed. You can also hear people talking downstairs late into the night.

I was welcomed with great hospitality. The team was so nice, helpful and very fun and cool, too. Even though the common room is small it is very nice to chill and has everything I needed. Bathrooms were spacious and clean! The location was perfect for me, not too far from main train station, city center or airport.

This is not a major issue but I had to put on all the sheets myself. There was no duvet cover, but they happily gave me one after asking. The matress unfortunately had springs that I could feel slightly. I wish it would have been a futon mattress.

Location is perfect. Just smack in the middle of Hakata Station, Canal City and Tenjin. The staff speaks English which is very easy to communicate with. And of course willing to help you with a few Japanese words. Yuki is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. He even allowed me to have extra pillow without extra charge.

The internet connection can be improved but then again you are Japan to bask in the culture, people and experience so a little disconnection from the online world is a refreshing experience.

Great location, the street is really calm and nice, cute building. Just 10-15min walking for Hakata station, and near the center of Fukuoka. Nice gathering room.

The people staying in the hostel didn't really respected the time of silence, lots of noise and drinking after 11:00PM, the next day people haven't clean the table. Lot of leftovers (drinks and foods). Not really respectful for the rest of the people staying in the hostel. But it's not the staff fault.

I loved how affordable the room was and how I was able to feel safer in a female dormitory. They kept everything clean as well. The staff was super nice and you meet new people just getting ready in the morning. I had no issues when it came to sharing a space. However, I would suggest showering midday to avoid the rush at night.

If you are a light sleeper request a top bunk. When people move in their sleep you can hear everything. If you are a heavy sleeper it won't be a problem! Also, I didn't dislike this but lights are out at 10 PM so you should keep that in mind when getting ready for bed.

I really liked how close the hostel is to the subway and buses. It was easy to find once I got the location dialed in. It was my second stay, and I was impressed with the staff, friendliness, convenience, and restful sleep in my cozy enclosed bunk bed. From Fukuoka airport, take the free Airport Shuttle-Meinohama to the South bus stop for the subway. When you arrive at Gion Subway, get yourself a ticket for Gofukumachi Station. Then change lines after 4 stops on the orange line to the blue line to Nakasu-Kawabata and ride one stop Gofukumachi and take Exit 5. You will see an escalator, a grocery store, and shopping; make a right, go around the corner, and you will see the 'entrance to Exit 5 and a bus stop. Go to the first street and make a right; walk about 4-6 blocks on the left past the Green Apartments. It is tucked away!

Everything was great!

Very good location, walking distance to the main touristic areas of the city and well-placed for bus and train stations. Hostel itself had a good vibe and the common area was especially good for meeting other travelers. Staff were helpful and friendly, kindly allowing us to store our luggage after check-out as we had a late flight.

Few showers and bathrooms for the amount of rooms which meant we often had to wait until one was free. This is only due to to the nature of the building of course and the hostel was fully-booked when we were there so it's to be expected!

The location was perfect as it was located right next to a subway station and just a short walk from Hakata Station and Tenjin area. There were also many famous shrines and temples located right around the corner. The staff were also friendly and fun to talk with. They helped give me some ideas for dinner when I was really troubled over where to go. I wasn't expecting them to help me as much as they did so I really appreciated it. The bed was comfortable and even though there were times where every bed in the room was full, I never had any issues with other guests. There was always plenty of space at the mirror in the morning to get ready and I never had to wait to use the shower. The bar menu as looked interesting but I never got a chance to try it. Maybe next time!

You get what you pay for and I understand that it's a hostel but the sleeping area did feel a bit cramped. I wouldn't reccomend coming here if you have a large amount of luggage you are hauling around as there isn't much space for it. Changing clothes, repacking suitcases, and doing any kind of activity besides sleeping was a bit of a hassel.
