Great location, really comfy beds and great interior/ exterior design. Staff is also very nice

In the female dormitory the shower and sink are located inside the actual room, shower separated by door but sink just out in the open. This makes it so so so annoying as people obviously come in at all sorts of times, sometimes at like 3 am and turn the light on and start using the sink to do their routines. Theres not much that can be done about that so just keep in mind that if you’re a light sleeper and/ or you have a top bunk that doesn’t really have any light protection from the overhead light, you might have some difficulty sleeping

Very clean rooms everywhere in the building! Super nice staff that you could talk to comfortably! The female dorm has a lock for the night, so you feel safe. In the common area there is the option to heat up food and have tea/coffee, too. Also good to hang out and meet some other people. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable for a cubicle bed.

If several people have bigger suitcases it gets really cramped in the female dorm. Also had the feeling if you wake up before 9am, you might wake up everyone with just opening your suitcase, taking a shower or going to the bathroom. But that might just be the people I stayed with at that time… ;) I think if you want to have more privacy and the option to do your thing, book the private rooms that are available.

I had a great stay at this hotel. It’s about a 15-20 min walk from Hakata Train Station, and local bus stop is 3min away. There's a Lawson convenience store just a minute away, which was super handy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall, I think it offers good value for money. The bed was comfortable, although the pillow was a bit small for my taste.

The only slightly unusual thing was that the sink is located inside the room itself, which could be a bit noisy. However, during my stay, all the guests were quiet and respectful, so it wasn’t a problem at all.

I loved this guest house's vibe and feeling -- they were burning incense, had free tea and instant coffee, and were playing calm music downstairs. The lounge space with a table was perfect to doing a little travel planning and connecting with other travelers. I met so many great people here! Everyone was friendly, everything was clean and awesome. Haru helped me get checked in super easily and they were able to extend my stay. I liked how cold the room was at night, and it was super dark and safe and clean!

I was worried about there being only one shower and toilet for the 10 girl dorm, but it was totally fine! I wish there was more natural light in the room, but other than that, it was awesome!

Very cool house in nice location, japanese style rooms and overall nice design. The location was calm, yet convenient for visiting the city, many shops and restaurants close by. We got to park our bicycles outside with no problem. Some very nice and helpful people working there (thanks for advices and literature tips ;) ).

Basically it was all good. The check-in/check-out policy was pretty strict (prolonged our stay, but with a different room and still had to wait until 4 to check in again, even though the room was ready earlier). I guess, that’s the rules, but felt a bit unnecessary to be so precise about it in that case..

We loved this hostel The beds were comfy, and so does the other facilities. The workers in the reception were super nice and helpful with everything we needed and vibes were really good and friendly. Nice living room space with card games you can freely use. I super recommend it. The only thing that was a bit inconvenient was that in the female dorms the showers and sinks are inside the room so at night or early mornings can be disturbing to the other guests. But it really didn’t took from our overall experience which was really good.

The front desk workers were very kinda and friendly, I missed the last train to my next destination and needed an emergency accommodation which they were able to provide. I was estimated to get there around 9:30p and check-on closed at 10pm and I was rushing to get there but I later saw they had send a message to let them know if I would be arriving late so they can prepare. They were really sweet and glad I was able to book only two hours before and they were prepared for me when I arrived. The bed was also very spacious, bigger than twin size bed but smaller than double. It was very comfortable and clean.

You will be squished like sardines a bit lol, and if the people staying the night all have huge luggage there will be barely enough room to walk. Definitely bring ear plugs and eye masks since you’re all in a room together so people will be snoring, walking, using the lights, etc. while you’re trying to sleep but most people were very respectful and considerate of the quiet.

A quaint location with old streets and many temples and shrines nearby, yet not far from Hakata station and the canals. Friendly young staff who speak good English. Nice common area downstairs to chat with other travellers, eat and have coffee. It's a friendly relaxing place to chill and meet people if you've been travelling alone for a while, but the dorms are too crammed.

The female dorm is really crammed with no space for luggage whatsoever. They only provide a pillow case and one sheet, and I am not entirely sure if the duvet cover gets washed between each guest. :( Whilst everyone is really quiet in the dorm, one girl stomps around like an elephant when she gets in an out of bed. You can also hear people talking downstairs late into the night.

I was welcomed with great hospitality. The team was so nice, helpful and very fun and cool, too. Even though the common room is small it is very nice to chill and has everything I needed. Bathrooms were spacious and clean! The location was perfect for me, not too far from main train station, city center or airport.

This is not a major issue but I had to put on all the sheets myself. There was no duvet cover, but they happily gave me one after asking. The matress unfortunately had springs that I could feel slightly. I wish it would have been a futon mattress.

Super helpful staff. Hiroto san went out of his way for me to provide me the use of thir land phones for overseas phone calls I needed to make urgently at midnight. He pre-determined the cost per 3 minutes, I pre-paid for 30 min. then I was able to pay cash after the fact, for the balance owing as my business calls went on longer. This was so important for me to accomplish and thanks to the kind efforts of Hive staff, it was accomplished!

The location was further from Hakata station than ideal but that was okay.
