Common room was wonderful, met a lot of really interesting folks visiting the Fukuoka! Walk-in/step-in showers and bathrooms are outside of sleeping rooms, but private which was a pleasant surprise (only one person at a time!) Love that there's a curfew (12am which is more than reasonable imo) Location is conveniently near the Gion station on the Fukuoka Airport Line and a few minutes walk to Kushida Shrine and Kawabata Shopping Arcade which made it super convenient for food, sight-seeing, and shopping!

The rooms are a little tight, but manageable! For those looking for something more accessible, this hostel requires you to climb stairs to reach your room.

Lovely and kind hosts who were attentive and answered any questions I had. The accommodation is also in a fantastic location to explore Fukuoka with ease. Very clean facilities and I also had a delight of meeting other solo travellers! I absolutely adored Fukuoka and will be sure to visit again in the future. Thank you so much for looking after me. ありがとうございました! Be mindful to also pay the Fukuoka city tax (per night) upon arrival.

It would be helpful to communicate with guests when to turn off lights in the dormitory room (e.g "10pm curfew")because I found that with other dormmates, some were very reserved and kept to themselves the whole time without a word. While I do appreciate everyone respectfully spending time alone, this made it difficult to approach others and ask whether I could turn off the lights for nighttime sleeping.

The location of this hostel is great - super close to public transport and very central. The room was small but this is to be expected, it was a nice bonus that there was a small sitting area in the room so I could do some work from there. When there were all four of us in the room, it was tight but most of the time there weren't many people around. Showers and toilets were very clean and nice.

Towels were not included and bed was traditional mat so very firm. I know some people like this but it was a bit hard for me. You also have to make your own bed on arrival and strip the sheets before you leave.

Beautiful little place. -The hosts were just lovely. It has everything you need, kitchen and sitting area. -Dorm beds are comfy and even better, don’t squeak or move when the person in the other bunk moves. There’s a small sitting area in the 4-bed dorm. - It’s an easy 10 minute walk from Hakata station. - 5 min walk to Gion subway station - no real noise in the area at night - lots of lovely artwork and arrangement in the various nooks and crannies - washer and dryer (¥200 per load, 4.5kg) - very close to Canal City, Riverain Mall, Kawabata shopping street (all a 5 min walk)

Nothing really. It was all great.

I liked the convenience of the place a lot, and all the amenities nearby. The place was clean, quiet, and very good to stay. The showers and toilets were clean and nice as well. The kitchen and living room are good, amazing too.

Maybe the location of the place was a bit hard to find, it is a bit inside than what google maps suggested the place to be.Other than that everything else was great!

The accomodation was exceptionally clean and the staff was friendly. It is possible to walk most of the way from the train station to the accomodation underground, which is perfect for hot or rainy days. The interior was very nice and the bunk bed was comfy. I also enjoyed the interaction with th people staying there, who were very friendly.

I had some troubles finding the accomodation at first and was searching for 45 minutes, before a lovely local helped me. However, I think that was just my general inability of finding places. After the first time the accomodation was easy to reach. So overall, I wouldn't say that there was anything negative.

Located right in the heart of of Fukuoka, near the most important attractions and near lots of options for eating, shopping and nightlife. The location cant be beat. Spotlessly clean with a nice kitchen and dining area to sit, eat and socialize. While the building is more moderm, they do a great job of decorating to make it feel like a traditional Japanese home. A great value for the price. .

The staff barely spoke any English. The bed was a thin mat on a hard board and was the least comfortable bed in my 3 weeks in Japan. While you couldn't wear shoes anywhere in the property beyond the front desk, they were the only place I stayed in Japan where they didn't offer proper slippers to guests.

Facilities are good. Clean, spacious, and has traditional aesthetic. Location is ideal for tourists too. near shrines and subway stations.

I was surprised by the additional tax they collect upon check in, and towel use not being free but it's not something that ruins your stay. Each guesthouse has their own policy so it's okay. It all goes down to your luck, if you get rowdy roommates who are noisy at night.

The guesthouse was centrally located and just a couple of mins walk away from spots like the Kushida shrine and shopping complexes like Canal city. The only con I could think of is the fact that showers arent allowed from midnight onwards which can be a bummer if you stay out late but other than that, everything’s pretty good.
