- Hotel is located right in front of the Subway Airport Line with close access to places like Canal City, Hakata Station and Tenjin (via Subway) - Small amenities like toothbrush, comb etc. are available in the lobby instead of being in the room (environment conscious decision) - The TV provided helpful information regarding the stay, amenities and a daily questionnaire regarding the breakfast on the next day

- The power outlets were not well positioned in the room - Our AC was pretty inconsistent for blasting cold air despite setting it to a warmer temperature (e.g. set to 27°C, but thermostat above it showed 21°C) - Inconsistent water temperature control (as mentioned in other reviews)

Close to Gion station (subway exit right outside), can also walk to Hakata Station. Decor is pretty retro. Bathroom sink and shower share the same faucet. Excellent water pressure. AC unit came in handy, the weather was very humid 2 out of 3 days I stayed. New towels given daily. Free breakfast was okay, but there’s limited seating.

I had a non smoking room but on the morning of check out I could smell cigarette smoke from somewhere. Either coming from a smoking room (are they on a different floor) or people smoking out on the emergency stairs. The hallways also don’t have AC/air flow - it’ll be whatever the temperature is outside. And not of the fault of the hotel, but you’ll definitely hear sirens and egotistical motorcyclists.

Everything was very convenient. It was close to the station, staff were friendly and helpful even to a foreigner with little Japanese, breakfast was great.

The bathroom want great. It was a standard bathroom but there's a huge step going on our or and with a slippery floor I slipped almost every time, even when I was careful.

It was so close to everything. The temples, subway and the Hakata station is just 10 mins away.

The water in the toilet is difficult to control. Even if it is in the middle, the water gets either too hot or too cold. But otherwise, it was an amazing stay.

The nearest station, 5 minutes walking to Hakata main station, water boiler, hotel pajama, staffs are very friendly

The room was too narrow, lack of power outlet, lack of food menu, the area of dining room was narrow to seat

De check in service is really easy and the staff very helpful and friendly. Also, the location is very close to Hakata station so it's very convenient.

Both the mattress and the pillows are super firm. So if that's an issue for you, think twice.

I love the toyoko inn breakfast . I admire how everything in the room is well thought of .

I would like the toyoko inn brand hotels to allow guest for certain hours per day.

Great location, in front of Gion subway elevator exit. You can literally explore downtown on foot from the hotel. 5 min walk to Hakata station. 10 min to Nakasu-Kawabata and Tenjin area. You can find lots of stores nearby. Room was standard clean and spacious comparing to other Toyoko Inn branches. Taxi took ¥1700, 15 min to Fukuoka international airport.

Breakfast was quite poor (varieties and taste) comparing to other Toyoko Inn we stayed.

Like the location and free breakfast.

The shower water heater is very very difficult to control I had told them to check on it but still the same maybe I'm not good in handling it. Beside the water problem everything is good.

The breakfast area too small not enough space to sit down.
