The hot spring is the main advantage and the free complimentary like the ice cream and the late ramen are the best too. The location is perfect for traveling by walking and no need for public transportation to Hakata station or Canal city. The room is big enough for opening suitcase and activity, also the lounge that provided at the 10 floor is nice for some drinks. As I stayed for 2 night without cleaning services, the fresh towels are provided by bag at the door. The best part is also the convenience store at beside the lobby that we can enter easily.

The massage chair at the 10 floor lounges is broken on some parts. It will be good for the explanation on how to use the public bath is written/shown bigger so other guest may wash before entering the public bath.

The location was amazing - bus just outside the hotel and train around the corner. It was walkable to hakata station too. Fresh towels daily hung outside the door. The onsen was comfortable and there was free noodles, ice cream, and lactobacillus drink. Staff were friendly too and could speak English. Soundproofing was acceptable! You could still hear some noise in the corridor and the road but once the activities quiet down at nice it is alright. There’s a convenience store connected to the property so that was a great plus!

The space in the room and the toilet was pretty small and the flooring was carpet.

The location is very convenient, whether walking or taking the train from Hakata. The front desk staff are professional, communicate well in English, and are very helpful. There is an onsen that helps with relaxation—although it's small and can get crowded, it’s all about timing. The breakfast is good, though not as varied as what I experienced in Otaru. Most importantly, the hotel is very close to many tourist attractions within walking distance, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. There’s even a Family Mart right next to the hotel. Highly recommended!

Perfect central location near Hakata station and the major areas of Nakasu and Tenjin. A FamilyMart is embedded inside the building (this seems to be Dormy Inn's property development strategy.) The onsite onsen and sauna are clean and very comforting. Free food is handed out left and right (yakult, ice cream and ramen on the daily at various hours.) The breakfast, if not included in your stay, is absolutely worth paying for for at least a few days of your visit. Most of these things are true about ALL Dormy Inns by the way. This hotel meets my expectations for Dormy Inns, and blows most other non-luxury hotels in the world out of the water. Book the club floor for free OJ and improved coffee and tea vs. the machine in the lobby as well as unlimited access to a massage chair (albeit within a smoking lounge.) It may be the same price. Availed of coin laundry which is located in each gendered bath area. The price is very affordable - wash is free, dry is 100 yen per 30 minutes.

The room fixtures are a bit dated and in the room, it was easy to find places that were not kept clean such as the overhead ceiling vents and the areas behind nightstands.

The rooms at Dormy Inn Hakata Gion are very clean. The staff are pleasant and attentive. The public bath is well maintained and relaxing. There is a Family Mart confine attached to the hotel which is very convenient. The location is excellent in relation to the station, airport and city. There is a door separating the hallways and bathroom area from the sleeping area, which is useful if two people are sharing. There are free noodles for a short time late at night.

The rooms are a little bit cramped if you are very tall or have luggage, so if you are staying for only a few days it is advisable to pack only what you need and forward the rest of your things to your next hotel or airport using a courier. One of us found the pillows a bit uncomfortable.

Room size was acceptable. Pajama set and nice pairs of hotel slippers were provided. The onsen was very spacious with both indoor and outdoor bath, a sauna and a cold pool. We liked the free probiotic drink in the mornings until 10am and the free ice cream during the afternoon / evening. The massage chairs and drinks on the club floors are nice too. Overall good value for money. I will check this property first when booking my next trip.

This hotel has an excellent location—close to the train station and major tourist attractions. There are restaurants nearby, and there's even a convenience store inside the hotel. It's not too crowded or chaotic. The staff are very helpful and accommodating, and they speak English well. The onsen is a great way to unwind after a day of travel, even though it can get a bit crowded. They also offer small snacks after the onsen. I’d love to stay here again.

Good location, close to Gion metro station. Short walk to most local attractions or via metro / trains. Unique things about Dormy Inn hotel us that their onsen (hot springs are natural source, nice and hot plus they have outdoor, indoor, cold bath and sauna) They also have late evening free ramen plus drinks and popsicle included.

I wish the room is bigger but enough for two persons. Also they do not have cleaning services during the stay. But provide fresh towels each day by hanging them at your door.

Perfect location as one stop from main Fukuoka Station. Lots of restaurants close by and walking distance of Ramen Academy and shopping arcade. The staff here were incredibly friendly/helpful and their English speaking abilities made communication Their public bath like all Dormy Inns was really nice with multiple pools and excellent mineral content of the water.

Bed was like sleeping on cement.

All of the reception staff were excellent! , friendly and helpful beyond expectation. Especially M. Komura and K. Iwashita . And cleaning staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and fresh and tidy. Great location for walking to Sumo basho, restaurants and cafes, shopping etc. Easy walk from the Hakata station. Usual lovely ice treats and yakults at the onsen.

The mattress was ok, but the pillows like thin hard cardboard.
