Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Close to Hakata station. There are 2 bottles of free water in the room which I appreciate. I stayed 2 nights and didn’t request room cleaning, and the staff hung a bag of fresh towels and amenities outside my door, a very nice touch. I like that the chair has wheels, easy to move around.

From Hakata station, I saw a APA hotel, so I walked to it, only to find that it wasn’t the APA hotel I booked, and my APA hotel was about 5 min walk away. Make sure you go to the right APA hotel! It was a little hard to find. The air conditioner is really weird. Even the lowest setting 16 degrees it’s really hot. I had to turn off the air conditioner and open the window.

Location is excellent, very close to the main Hakata station. Was very clean and tidy hotel, bed was really comfortable, room was nice and quiet.

Breakfast was okay, just it needs more options. Particularly for drinks, I like a bit of juice in the morning but none here, I had to get some from a shop - fortunately there is a 7/11 almost right next door. Room was a bit small but fine for one person, and that seems to be pretty standard in Japan. Shower wasn't high enough, I had to crouch to fit under it (186cm)

I enjoyed my stay at APA Hotel Hakata Ekimae 2Chome. The hotel location is great, the personnel are polite, and all the amenities have been provided. Price/Quality ratio met my expectations. I marked comfort level as good due to the fact the room is a standard small one suitable for 1 or 2 travelers. Nice choice for those who want to save some money and have a pleasant stay in Fukuoka. Breakfast was good as expected from APA hotels!

Central location.

There’s only one elevator and sometimes it gets full during peak hours. The check in is strange. When you book it here at Booking.com you have to specify each guest information and upon arriving in the hotel you also have to type all the information again. Why they just don’t use the same information which BTW appear in the check in machine?

The compact room was cozy and comfortable, great for a solo traveler. Everything was clean and well maintained. They do not clean the room every day but provide fresh towels and toiletries every day in a bag by the door if you stay more than one day. I had trouble with the automated check-in but the staff were kind and helpful and fixed it right away. There is only one elevator, but it is fast. It is a great location, near the train station but also several subway stops.

The room was clean and modern. Several of the room amenities were well thought out.

The air conditioner turns off when you leave the room. It restarts quickly when you return to the room. The public hallway and elevator are not air conditioned which was extremely hot. I was waiting for the elevator for several minutes in the sweating heat of over 100 degrees F. There is only one elevator for the 7 floors.

The location is really good, close to Hakata train and bus station. Many convenient store are close by. The room size is not bad for one person. I love the ice making machine.

The pillow are not the type I like. There is one elevator so you need to wait sometime. A little loud noise from the street outside at night.

Staff seems to be limited in providing services Example: 1. cannot help to call taxi to airport - this this pretty crucial. 2. cannot help to make reservations with restaurants - this particularly not helpful with non Japanese speaking customers. Thank you

The staff is really helpful and they are patient to answer any question. We stayed there for 4-5 nights and cleaning staff is thoughtful to give the room supplies to the front of door, thank you.

Hope the other floor can add microwave or washing machine on other higher floors because setting microwave and washing machine on the first floor near check in counter sometimes easily to meet check in people when we are doing laundry or microwave food, it appeared crowded on the lobby.

I’ve stayed at a number of APA hotels and they all have these things in common. Great value for the price. The single rooms are small, but well fitted. If you’re like me and spend little time in the hotel, they will work well for you. The staff are always lovely and helpful.
