Staff is very kind and willing to help you whenever you need. My boyfriend and I chose the mixed dormitory and asked to be next to each other and they made it possible :) The sleeping capsules are bigger than I expected, I was so surprised. It must be something like 1x1x2 meters, you can easily sit without touching the ceiling. The common area on the 9th floor is very cool, there is a terrasse where you can smoke and enjoy the view. The breakfast is very very simple but included so I don't mind. (Crazy thing : I randomly saw the cleaning staff wiping dust on every bookshelves... and that's a lot !) The bathrooms are very clean and fully equipped. As a woman I also used the mixed bathroom and had no issue at all. Everything is very clean and feels new !

- there is no dedicated shoe area to change to slippers before entering the dormitory. So everybody walks in with shoes on... It's a carpeted floor... - They give use a simple sheet to put under the blanket, so the blanket is not completely covered. During your sleep it goes off. I didn't mind. Until I saw that, when they make the bed for new customers, they fold the blankets on the floor... Where we all walk with our shoes... I was disappointed :( - the lockers and luggage space are in the dormitory next to beds so it is noisy sometimes, and even if you are careful, you may bother people... - not their fault, but some people use the sink in the middle of the dormitory to brush their teeth past midnight lol. Please, think and have respect to others...

Our family of 4 LOVED this hostel. It is beautiful, clean, comfy and we loved the breakfast "snacks" that were offered each morning. I was hesitant to stay in a hostel--that's not how we usually travel--but the shower rooms were great, offered privacy and comfort. (I felt more like it was a ladies locker room at a tennis club or country club, Japanese style.) We stayed directly across from 2 very clean bathrooms so that ended up being quite easy too. The 'Ship Cat' art throughout made me smile. My bunk had thoughtful touches like a ledge for my device and easy charging access. All of us from ages 17-65 loved our stay here. Location worked perfectly for our travels. Thank you We Base!

The WeBase was one of our favourite accommodations during our 7-week trip. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel, even with the shared bathrooms. Everything was modern and impeccably clean. The lounge was big and comfortable, and had a rooftop sitting area. The free breakfast was substantial and always neatly presented. The toilets were always clean and there were plenty of showers - never had to wait for one and never got the ick despite the hostel being fully booked when we went. Keeping everything clean is so important to them, they slipped us a politely-worded note under our door requesting to clean our room because we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door for 2 consecutive days.

Loved the convenient location near the train station (3 minutes walk), many places to eat nearby, spotlessly clean common areas. Loved the kitchen and dining area!

The room I stayed in was rather small but for the price I think it was acceptable.

It was my fourth stay at this hostel. Every time I come back I found the same spotless clean hostel (rooms, toilet, common spaces all super clean, they do checks many times at day). The staff is friendly, helpful and does speak a good English. There is this beautiful common area on the 9th floor where they serve breakfast everyday, or you could just go to 7/11 which is like 20 meters away and bring your own food up there. They also keep you updated about the events around Fukuoka and they have a book with all the best restaurants of the area. It’s a great place if it’s your first time visiting but also great if you’re not new, because you can find lot of inspirations while there. I will always come back to this place, I love it!

Prepare a set of earplug before sleep. I heard loud and continuous snoring. I could not sleep well without earplugs.

Firstly the big cat outside! The staff were all really helpful and friendly, and spoke some English which isn't expected but is really helpful. The breakfast was also very simple but good toast! The accommodation itself is really well done, the shared showers, sinks and communal areas are all really nice and it feels really fancy for a hostel. Had lots of amenities like hairdryer, shampoo etc, provided slipper shoes, and also let us borrow a plug socket for a returnable deposit. Also very close to a train station (although we hadn't realised and had been walking to the one after it...the closest station looks like a giant museum!) Also has a Family Mart and a 7 Eleven right across the street so that's really handy as you can put food in the communal fridge too.

We booked a bunk bed room, ideally would have preferred a double bed, but it was kinda fun. The rooms are very small however which is sort of standard for Japan, and we were only in there to sleep, but if you are a family or want to spend time in your room I'd recommend going for a much larger room or a bigger hotel.

This hostel is very well located and easy to find. Not too far from major stations 🚉, it’s makes the travelling and exploring of Fukuoka really easy. I loved my stay, I had a room to myself with a huge bed (I chose the premium cabin, since I was staying a little longer and didn’t want to deal with bunk beds). The bed and pillows were very comfortable and clean. The room was spacious enough for a solo traveler to be comfortable with my big backpack. The bathrooms and shower are shared. It’s all very safe and clean. The shower have options either the mix all gender one or the woman only one. I used the one for woman only and it’s really well designed. You have a lock space in front of the shower that is spacious enough to change and a basket to keep your stuff dry. The shower cabins are pretty big, I felt like I had enough space to move around and I’m not on the small size, so it was appropriate for me. There’s sinks and hairdryer in a row in the shower room. I never had to wait for a shower since there’s more than enough and even the one night I went in with a group there was still some showers free. The common area upstairs is pretty big and has a balcony. Breakfast or morning snack is bread, yogurt, cereal and juice/coffee. Which was honestly more than enough for me, so no complaints from me on free breakfast. The location really is amazing and it’s close to canal city mall, which has a lot of restaurants (including a Kirby Cafe whose wayyyyy less busy than the one in Tokyo and I was able to get and table easily no reservations), at night street food vendors appear next to the water and it’s such a nice place to have diner. The staff was super friendly and spoke very good English and in one case French 😊 Very nice stay, would happily go back!

A pillow is a bit too flat. The common area is not 24/7, which I have no problem with. However, it would be great to know when the staff will clean the common room so I can plan ahead. I don’t like to be dismissed rudely for going to the ninth-floor at night. One elevator for the whole building is not sufficient enough during the rush hour.

Extremely nice and helpful staff. Bike rental is very nice experience and allows to conveniently explore the town. Very clean and facilities are great.

the breakfast is quite mediocre, the shower is not even on the same floor as the capsule beds, and the lounge ares is not very convenient to work from compared to other similar hotels.
