Staff were nice, Facilities were good, buffet included in stay, location close enough to local attractions but also shuttle service included.

It is an aged facility. Rooms were a bit old and worn. Wasn't an issue though.

Perfect to go to the onsen when ever you want. The onsen is open from 15.00 to 11.00 next day. Shuttlebus to town goes twice every hour.

We arrived 14.45 and check in was from 15.00. The room was ready but we still had to wait 15 minutes

Hotel is located near the forest (or park?), so we had a wonderful view into the trees from our balcony. It’s about 20 minutes walk from the Bus terminal or city centre, but they have regular shuttles. I will attach the schedule of the shuttles. It’s a small blue bus with the hotel’s name written in English, it was easy to find it. Onsen was very good, one for ladies had a small quiet waterfall. Both outdoor onsens feature lying baths and two big pools of hot water. The temperature of the water could be cooler, but maybe I would have appreciated it more in winter. The breakfast was very delicious, it’s a buffet style with some local specialties. I think it’s easy to stay for a week without getting bored with food.

The beds and pillows were hard. Hotel is a bit dated, but no big deal. Wi-fi was unstable.

Free shuttle bus to and fro the town center. Room is spacious and clean. The relatively rural and tranquil atmosphere made this stay relaxing and enjoyable. Wide spread at breakfast and many amenities available at the hotel itself.

While it's true that this facility probably hit its peak 30 years ago, the friendliness of the staff, incredible location and family friendly activities make up for the aged facilities. If you aren't expecting perfection you are going to love it here We were the only western foreigners and were treated with such kindness and patience from both guests and staff. The onsen was lovely, the kareoke room was a great treat and the breakfast was perfectly adequate. We truly enjoyed ourselves there and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a down to earth onsen experience surrounded by incredible nature; trails right out the front door!

We rented a cabin during our stay which was clean and the heated floors were already warmed up before we arrived. The shuttle to and from the main resort was extremely convenient and arrived upon request. The onsen is absolutely phenomenal and the breakfast was great with a lot of options. My wife is a vegetarian and we never had any problems filling our plates. The staff were very nice and accommodating and are willing to go above and beyond to make sure your stay was exceptional. Honestly, my wife and I loved staying here and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Everything was perfect, the facility had everything you needed and imagined and more... The staff was amazing and I cannot say enough about them, I felt like a VIP. They were so nice, accommodating and soooo helpful. We stayed in the cabins(10 minute shuttle ride to main building)and I'd prefer to have stayed at the main building for convenience. The shuttle to town was awesome. Breakfast and dinner were awesome. Really everything was amazing and would go back in a heartbeat.

I loved everything, just needed more time to fully enjoy all the amenities.

Overall, an amazing experience of a typical retreat in the Japanese countryside. The village had a lot of options for entertainment, the room was spacious and comfortable, the meals were perfect, and the service was outstanding.

You can tell some amenities are older and worn out, the most relevant was the bedroom's bathroom. It was quite dated with visible signs of rust. The onsen and most of the equipment for the activities also had significant signs of age, but overall, they were still clean, functional, and contributed to a good atmosphere.

Well the old-fashioned hotel from another century is worth the trip! You will find yourself in a Miyazaki storyline. Our room was quite spacious and well furnished. The hotel has few entertaining areas like bowling, crane machines, onsen and a pool (charged), closing pretty early. They also have a cafe and restaurants. The staff speaks English. The plus: a free shuttle bus will stop at the bus terminal to and from the hotel. A convenient store (Lawson) is located around the hotel.

Our hotel room was gorgeous! Combination of western and Japanese style. So lovely. The view from the room was also lovely. Indoor and outdoor onsen was just amazing! Especially the outside onsen with the snow setting. So gorgeous. Attaching view from our hotel room :)

Walls may be a little bit thin. Heard the above neighbors quite well, so if one has problem with sleeping with a bit of sounds recommend bringing earplugs.
