Loved the location - bus stop was outside the property. Yunessun (onsen) across the street and 2 family marts. 10 min walk to Gora and Hakone Open Air Museum. Nestled in the mountains with a stunning garden and view. Amenities were great - onsen was beautiful and so clean. Breakfast and dinner were incredible! Blown away by the choices and suitable for all dietary requirements. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything you could need. I booked the day before arriving and for the price, it was a steal! ($800 CAD for 3 nights with breakfast and dinner included - other places were $1500+)

This is the best hotel we have stayed at. Amazing comfort, thoughtfulness, rooms, onsen, and it is great that one can also use Yunessun. The breakfast and dinner -- outstanding!!! It is above and beyond any buffet we have ever experienced. We were looking forward to the meals every day (and the free alcohol they come with). The simple, modern design of the hotel and the rooms is gorgeous. We only walked in their garden at night but it is truly magical, with the lanterns they provide. The staff arranges fresh seasonal flowers in the restaurant and around the hotel. It is the small touches. It felt cozy and like being truly at home. I would so stay at this hotel again.

They don't provide currency exchange nor do they provide change for the use of washers (washers don't work with western credit cards; you need specific yen coins).

The free Yunessan included in our stay was amazing. We spent all afternoon there both days. After being in Tokyo it was nice to have somewhere to go to relax instead of site seeing and walking all day. The buffet was amazing, so many Japanese and western options. The hotel was in a beautiful forresty area which made it so relaxing. The hotel is an easy bus ride to lake Ashi which is very worth seeing.

I didn’t love that the bathroom wasn’t really a room it was more like the shower was its own room and a little room for the toilet with a sink near the entrance to the room. This is just knit picking though, it wasn’t really a problem and probably very common in Japan.

What a beautiful hotel/resort. From walking in and the grand entrance, to the rooms and the food and the service. Everything is 10/10. The rooms are a great size, very clean you’re literally in the woods / forest so their views are great. The service was soooo good. It feels very luxurious for the price. The spa is not as good but it still has everything you need but I think that’s just down to personal preference. It’s a bit confusing to find as it’s not actually inthe hotel. The food is amazing too the buffet has such good options so would definitely recommend. such a nice safe peaceful stay

Excellent customer service!! I prebooked 19:30pm dinner however the spent longer time on the trip than I expected and arrived the hotel 9:06pm. The reception is very nice and advised the restaurant is going to close at 9:30pm but because I did have Dinner plan then she called the restaurant staff and let me get in quickly pick up my food (it is like a buffet )while check in later. Then the restaurant staff helped to place my plates with me into my room :)) very friendly and professional highly recommend

The shuttle bus last operate at 17:25pm while last town bus from owadawa is 8:30pm… besides recommend visit via wekkdays as weekend has less bus as well…

The room was spacious with huge beds, comfortable and very clean. Buffet dinner was excellent with free flow alcohol (beer, wine, whisky, sake, shochu). Breakfast was also good quality. The main highlights are the free access to Yunessun spa with many interesting baths, and the hotel rooftop open-air bath which was very relaxing.

Hotel location is remote and not easy to walk to nearby towns. However, there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel with frequent bus service covered by the Hakone Freepass, so taking the bus is very convenient.

The hotel was renovated last year and was clean and tastefully decorated. Although the ceiling (hallways) was low because the structure was built long ago, the beautiful wood panels made it less imposing. I loved the large window in the lobby and the beautiful garden. The public bath on the top floor was a great treat as well. The dinner and breakfast buffets offered a wide selection of Japanese and western food. Alcohol was included in the dinner buffet, which was generous. Lastly, we appreciated their free shuttle service to and from a few stations. We took it to visit the Hakone Open-Air Museum.

The hotel was great! The Yunessun was just OK. It probably needs a face-lift. Mori-no-yu was lovely.

This was a newly renovated hotel. The ambience created was relaxing. The onsen on the top floor with amazing views of Hakone was a plus along with passes to the water park Yunessun located across the road. The buffet offerings were wide.

Check out time was at 10am with a late check in time of 3pm. It would have been nice to have a later check out time like 11am or 12pm to allow time to enjoy the facilities. Also, the luggage service is cash on delivery which most means you pay the cost at your next hotel which all hotels do not accept. Whilst there was another option to go to Family Mart next door to provide the service, it was a bit inconvenient. Perhaps improvement can be made with check out time and luggage deliver service

The property is located next to the bus stop. The staffs are very helpful and let me left my luggage there before check out. I was a solo traveller but they upgraded my room. It’s so nice. The onsen is great. The whole environment is amazing and it was an amazing experience for me. I will visit again as this property is highly recommended. The Breakfast and dinner buffets were great with different varieties of food.

If they could have transferred coaches from Hakone Yamato station will be much appreciated.

The hotel is a little way out from the station and the check in is quite unusual as you just do it through a machine no reception. I found the ambience a little cold. The room was lovely & clean too. The restaurant was like a huge hall with so many families especially but we did notice it was a Japanese holiday weekend. The food was absolutely amazing & such a selection for everyone & the staff we couldn't fault.
