Pretty interior, good option if you need to stay in Togendai area, good information provided.

It is close to a road, we got woken up a few times due to the traffic. There are no convenient stores around and a limited number of restaurants - depends on the time of the day too, so you need to plan ahead if you want independent meals. You have to turn on the water heater to get hot water, it could be mentioned somewhere ahead coz the first thing we did when we checked in was to take shower, we didn’t even notice any instructions in the upper floor.. We stayed in a layout C, there was only one bathroom accessible through one bedroom.

The place was easy to find and quite close to the pier for the boat ride and the ropeway. We went on the rope way to get here and it was fine with our carryon sized luggage but not for anything bigger. And it was quite a long ride. In hindsight we would have taken the bus or not stayed in togendai This place is on lake ashi. It is beautiful there but very few options for food that are open and no shops. So though the place was great the location wasn't great for a stay, I would stay in Hakone central area and just do the day trip here. The house was clean big and good but the pictures are confusing because all the units are different. We stayed in unit D. It has small long stairs to the second floor where our place was. We had four adults with us. the place has 2 nice soft good beds and then two matts on the ground that are thin and hard. The matts are in a loft area that you can't stand up in. So for kids they would love climbing the stairs/ladder up to the loft and wouldn't have to duck the 5 ft ceiling. We put two adults up there and they used 2 matts each stacked on each other and it was okaaay. But not awesome. The door was great. You get a code and come and go as you please. The bathroom was great. Clean shower. Washing machine worked great. No dryer just a rack for drying. Nice table and kitchen area microwave and fridge. We got the Hakone free ticket for the 3 days we were there. But there is one bus in the center of the area that isn't on it and we found it so had to pay to get out of the area which was really annoying. So please note the easiest closest shortest bus ride next to the house is not on the pass. It's called J05. You have to find the T busses that are close by. The Internet and the tour girl we talked too led us astray on that.

Good location - walking distance to restaurants, ropeway station and pirate ship port. 10 mins drive to owankudani, 15 mins drive to Hakone Shrine, beautiful mountain roads and lake view. Property is spacious, fully equipped with air conditioners, heater, bathroom ceiling dryer (my personal favourite), shower, bathtub, washing machine (even with hangers, detergent and softener), stove, fridge and oven/microwave oven, as well as parking space. Staff was very responsive to my message (broken kettle) and arranged a replacement delivered next morning.

Inconsiderate neighbours - not really the property’s fault. Walls are definitely thin, which is actually very common in Japan. We had the whole two floors to ourselves, but the sound/noise from next doors can be clearly heard. First two nights were fine, neighbours were quite mindful of the thin walls and stop making loud noise after 10pm. However, on our last night of stay, there were a bunch of guys moved into next door and partying (shouting/screaming) till 2am… Staff replied my complaints messages at midnight, very responsive. However, they actually have no way to improve/stop the situation. So immediate help is not really available.

the location is right at the bus stop so it's just few seconds walking. and there is netflix and good wifi! the room is spacious, quite, surrounded by a kind of forest (?) so it's pretty nice. and the host also give everything that we need include detergent, and such. and if you bring kids, there is also kid's simple toys provided by the host! netflix also available~

everything is so great, 99% clean, 1% is there is a..(i guess blood) stain on the bed.. but overall it's really clean! the location is also near many restaurant but unfortunately, the business hour of the restaurants are very short, many of them just open for lunch hour. i suggest to check their business hour. Also, there is just 1 self service "convenience store" that is not really packed. as far as i know, there is just 1 restaurant that open for dinner, so if you get hungry at night and don't have food, you'll be starving.

The location is great - just couple of minutes from gondola and boat port. The beds were comfortable, lots of space, microwave, super nice plates and cutlery for cooking.

The ceiling in loft area was super low, even for short people. No handrails at the stairs (to the loft), so it felt a bit dangerous at times. Also, there was no tea or coffee at the property and no combini nearby.

It comes with a loft that you can sleep if you know how to deal with the futon. It is unfortunate the aircon in the loft was broken as for it started making noises due to the loss of the part of the fan? So we were unable to turn on the aircon (heater) in the loft. Cooking essentials are all there. But there is no supermarket nor convenient store or anything around.

The staff can only be reached via online enquiry ( no staff on site) I wish I could note the no staff on site and no supermarket/convenient store issues earlier.

Very spacious unit, great for a group of friends. The amenities and kitchen were fully stocked for extended stays.

The heater/conditioner unit was not properly working when we arrived so it was very cold. It would constantly revert back to cleaning or timer mode. Thankfully there was a gas space heater as backup. Secondly, we could not get the projector to turn on and neither the remote or phone app work. Despite the host being super helpful, attentive and replied to messages quickly, we could not resolve the situation.

Short walking distance to the lake and hiking trail. Few minutes drive to attractions around the lake. A specious and clean room.

Although located in a forest, the rooms are actually very close to the road. Traffic noise can be heard throughout the day. People walking in the apartment upstairs made strong banging noise on our ceiling. Towels are vey thin and not soft. The immediate area has nothing to offer if you don't have a vehicle..

The location was great especially if you have a car. It is close to Togendai Pier and the surrounding area has a very beautiful scenery. The host was very kind and helpful in getting our valuables that we accidently left at the lodge. They took the time to ship the items back to me. My family is forever grateful!

Wasnt expecting stairs so it was kind of a struggle bringing luggages, but there was enough room downstairs to store them. The area in general shuts down pretty early so plan on having early dinner or grab something from konbini. We still enjoyed our stay regardless!

Spacious, quiet, and very close to Togendai station.the bus stop is literally at the accommodation. A lot of detail has gone into making the stay comfortable down to the complementary toothbrush and slippers ( even separate for the balcony)hot tub was very much appreciated as we arrived in the rain. We used the rope way to return to Hakone Yumoto via Gora. Spectacular

There was nothing negative about the accommodation. We were travelling with you adults. Having the bedroom completely separate would have been needed for a longer stay
