They serve immaculate breakfast! It includes both - Japanese and Western foods, all delicious and fresh. Honestly, best breakfast I've had in Japan (they even had the raw egg for rice and natto). The hotel is in a great location and room was comfortable with big beds, mini fridge, safe, TV and counter with shelves, even though overall it was small-ish.

I was very upset to find out that the onsen is strictly prohibited to guests with tattoos, which was one of the main reasons why I booked it in the first place. Having said that, I do understand the historic reasoning, yet would've appreciated to have known about it in advance.

The Taiwanese staff member who checked us in was extremely helpful, spoke English well and was efficient at resolving any issues. I think her name was Ami. Ami changed our room and assisted me with my luggage when we had an issue with not having hot water in the bathroom in Bldg #2 - she even came to our room to check out the issue and went to the other bldg's room to check the hot water was sufficient before switching our room and helped me by personally taking my luggage to the other room. I've lived and travelled in Japan for years so I know you receive very good service, but Amy was Taiwanese staff and also provided great customer service.

We didn't have hot water in our room in building 2, probably as that's the bldg with the onsen - but Amy came to the room and checked it, and assisted us to change rooms and moved my luggage for me as I have Disabilities. Problem resolved to our satisfaction. I always find beds in Japanese hotels too hard, as that's the way Japanese like but for most people and especially when you have disabilities, 90% of hotel beds in Japanese hotels are super hard, they need to provide some extra blankets to put under the bottom sheet to provide more comfortable bed for disabled guests.

It was clean, staff was friendly, location was not too far away from the station - closest konbini was 3-5 minutes walk away but plenty of vending machines and a restaurant that opens until late was in or next to the hotel. There are washing machines on the second floor which is nice but also a laundrette very next door so overall very convenient.

Only real thing of note is that the public onsen is not available for those with tattoos , stickers are not good enough, which is a shame but is expected.

Perfect location just five minutes from the train station and the main bus stop that allows you to reach all the tourist sites of the city. The rooms are small, but equipped with everything you need, they are clean and quiet. The breakfast is good, offering variety and also some typical specialties. The staff is kind, helpful and present during the day and in the evening. Good wi-fi connection and possibility to leave luggage.

The shared bathroom is a bit uncomfortable because it is not in the main part of the hotel, but in another separate area. You have to go out of the hotel for a short distance with your dressing gown, it is not comfortable, especially on a rainy day like in our case.

We stayed for 1 night. Lots of free amenities. The front desk staff was very nice and informative, also spoke good english. The beds were comfortable and room is spacious for us three. I like that each bed has its own charging port. They also have onsen though we didn’t get the chance to try it. Location wise, it is easy to find, close to Kanazawa station. There are also restaurants nearby.

The dryer didn’t dry our clothes and made it stinky so we had to use the laundromat nearby. That’s it.

This is my second time staying at Mystay Kanazawa Castle hotel and it was as comfortable as before. The rooms are big and spacious and the amenities are plentiful. There is a small cupboard at the lounge where you can pick up a few creams and moisturizers for use. The onsen was just at the adjacent building and it is spacious and convenient to access. There is also a place to do one’s laundry on the second floor which is a lifesaver for those who need to use it for their long travels in Japan. Car parking is in front of the hotel. It is also a short <5 minute walk to the Kanazawa station which is another plus point!

I liked the bay windows in each room and the free tea packets. I also liked that the staff was very nice and that the toiletries could be obtained from the lobby. The room and beds were very comfortable. The price/value relationship was perfect. Excellent price for the value and great location, too, near the train station.

I don't have any complaints. Maybe the fact that we didn't know we had to pay the lodging tax extra. Maybe that tax should have been factored into the price.

Everything was lovely and comfortable. Separate toilet always helps, lovely facilities. We had our 5 year old and was able to move the beds together so that we did not have to worry about her falling out of bed. Great location, easy walk to the station and it was an easy walk to the castle, the garden and the super busy fish markets. Microwave on the ground level for when you buy something from the convenient store. Little fridge in the room.

Nothing - it is Japan and space can be tricky with 3 suitcases in the room. We were able to make do.

Location was excellent. 5 min walk from Kanazawa Station. Everything was at the station we needed to access ie food, trains, buses. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Easy access to laundry facilities. Public bath was amazing.

The bathroom. You had to step up significantly to step into the bathroom which was very small. Then the bath was very deep to step into to shower. There was nothing to hold onto.

The room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. It was a seven minute walk from Kanazawa Station, and it had several convenience stores close by.

The air conditioning couldn’t be managed from inside the room and the temperature was quite high, so we had to open the window which made for a noisy night.
