The location is amazing. It's a 2-3 minute walk to JR Yamanote Mejiro Station, allowing easy access to multiple major locations in Tokyo. You can also get to Ikebukuro on foot if you don't mind a slightly long walk (around 25 minutes). There are supermarkets, convenience stores, laundromats, etc., nearby, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. The hostel itself was cleaner and better-maintained than a lot of other cheap places I've stayed in Tokyo. This isn't a hostel where you can socialize with other travellers and throw parties every night; on the other hand, if you're looking for a no-frills place where you can sleep and shower, this place is great.

There's 0 soundproofing. You will be able to hear everything that goes on in the common space. Fortunately, the hostel offers free earplugs. The common space is tiny, and the hostel is on the second floor w/o elevators--probably not the best choice if you have a lot of luggage.

The location to the train station couldn't have been better) family mart right around the corner. (If you buy a meal there ask for cutlery from the shop.. hostel doesn't provide it.) It was a small, clean, nice place I like the capsule privacy

The matrass was too thin! But the blankets where quite nice..and big I used it to put under my back for comfort and on top for warmth ^

I love the location and that its theme is a secret base. If you are a light traveler and just need a bed to stay in and you will be out most of the day, this is a great place to stay. The host was very kind and patient. His English is very good! The shared space is cozy and there are lockers to secure important belongings. It’s very safe to keep your things here as there is security cameras and a locked entrance. It’s also located right next to the Mejiro station too!! You can access many parts of Tokyo and come back to the secret base which is more quiet. There are lots of conbinis nearby too

Other guests were a little rude/messy. Never the fault of the hostel though. There are plenty of etiquette signs around that people seemed to not follow. It was fine for me though as it didn’t bother me. They mentioned they have reinvested and upgraded for a more comfortable stay; very impressive and awesome! The next thing they could do is to work on the creaks of ladders climbing to upper bunk and somehow making the upper bunk more padded so the bottom is not affected. I was on upper bunk and tried to move quietly but it was still pretty tough

It feels very cosy because of the big window. The room feels bigger than it is because of that. The beds are great and the staff was super helpful. The location is also nice right next to the station. Overall a good experience 👍

Its not the best for chilling in the hostel because it's so small but if youre in Tokyo you wont be sitting in the hostel anyways so thats not a real issue.

Doors should have a self and soft close feature implemented. Doors are quite noisy as well as the fans from the bathroom. Lights in the dormitory should have motion sensors, this would highly improve sleeping quality and increase efficiency.

Both my bestie and myself love the place..just nice for the both of us..easy access from the train station to the bnb. Very quite surrounding. Also, the people are very friendly. Love to come back on our 25th or 30th friendship anniversary..🥰

As the bnb sits on the 2nd floor, we have abit of difficulty carrying our luggage up. Its no big deal for us but was thinking about the elderly as well.

The location is the best. There is a Family Mart just down the street, the train station is just beyond that. It is easy to catch a train, bus , or taxi at the station. The price is also very good. Also, there is a public area that is perfect for eating food from the store.

It’s clean and quiet.this hotel is near by the 目白 jr station. It has two shower room and two lavatory. Everybody lives in this hotel is friendly .

I saw the details about this hotel is that the hotel has wash machines.actually not.you have to go to the laundry room with another fee outside.

-Staff are so polite, Friendly & have a good manner. -The location was very convenient close to the Mejiro station. -Other guess mostly so good manner and try to keep quiet at night. Appreciate that so much. First time in my life to stay at accommodation as the hostel style. At first, I was worried whether it would be okay or not. Because I am a stay alone woman and this accommodation didn't separate males and females from each other. Turned out, it was much better than I expected. Most other guests have a good manner and don't make noise late at night when everyone is going to bed. Makes my sleep quality quite good everyday I had wakeup :) If I go to Tokyo again and have a limited budget for accommodation, I guess I would decide to stay here again. Because this place is very close to Family Mart and Mejiro Station. It makes traveling around very convenient. Thank you for the nice experience of first time hostel staying in my life :)

-very strong smell of urine inside the toilet -There should be an elevator or a device that helps drag luggage up to the accommodation on the 2nd floor. It's inconvenient for the big size of luggage.

The staff is really nice, welcoming and helpful. The place is a bit small so it’s a bit tricky if you got big bags but apart from that it’s clean and really close to the station
