Hotel staff were very friendly and polite. They have helped us to book taxis and explained anything we did not understand. The hotel itself is very clean and cosy. The hotel has a cash machine, money exchange, washing machines, dryers, smoking room, cafe, seating area and vending machines. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom had a bath as well as a shower. There was shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Toilet had seat warmer as well as bidet. The room also had a fridge, kettle, mugs, glasses, spoons, hangers and room spray. There was a draw and TV. The room also had air con. Towels get changed often and room is cleaned regularly. You get given clean pyjamas and slippers. There was a 7-11 and family mart round the corner as well as vending machines outside. It’s a short 10 minute walk to local train stations. Very close to sunshine city and Main Street. Excellent stay, thank you for having us.

The Staff were great. The Location is about 1 hour walk to shinjuku which can be good or can be bad. 10 mins walk from ikebukuro station Which gets you to the two airports & everywhere else. which in the suburb you have different malls, different coffee places , food places. 24 hour supermarket 10 min walk away. They do cleaning every 3days in your room. Fresh towel change everyday.

Nightime the area is quiet after 10pm. Mostly food places open still coffeeshops close. Probs better to stay close to shinjuku/shibuya The Wifi Is horrendous. I got better wifi in osaka. Keeps dropping in and out this has to be Fixed ASAP. The price could be better but it is tokyo afterall. Also a charge of 2000 yen is to be payed when you check in city tax.

Can’t believe this hotel is only a 3 Star rating, should be 4 Star at least. The staff are really warm and welcoming. The rooms are a decent size and comfortable. The lady who serves the breakfast on a morning is a little gem, she’s so lovely. Location is away from any main roads so got some peaceful sleep and just a short walk away from Sunshine City.

Couldn’t find a plug for the kettle. We checked behind the fridge, but they were all in use; the only other place was by the bed, which isn’t really a suitable place. Pillows were a lacking a little substance, even though you got two per bed. Our window was frosted so couldn’t look out of it, but not a huge deal.

Amazing and helpful 24hr staff, with a great selection of amenities, and comfortable clean rooms. The cafe on the ground floor is quite affordable. Washing machine and dryer are available at a small fee. Ikebukuro JR Station is a 10 min walk.

Location can be confused with a different branch of similar name, Hotel Wing International. Make sure to add Select to your maps when looking for this branch.

Ikebukuro is so convenient for transport, dining and shopping. There are several ways to access the hotel from Narita airport. It’s really not that far from Ikebukuro station even with suitcases about 15min walk. The hotel is quiet and away from the Main Street. One side is next to a freeway but it wasn’t disruptive to sleep. Soundproofing in rooms is good, we didn’t hear the elevator even though it was opposite our room. Hotel staff can help to send your luggage to the next hotel. We were worried about dust as other reviews mentioned but it wasn’t a problem for us. Beds are medium hardness

Double rooms are small with minimal space for 2 suitcases to lie open. The bathroom is also very small with no room to keep toiletries bag inside. If this is a problem consider spending more for a bigger room or hotel. All 3 star Japan hotel rooms are about this size.

I absolutely loved the room key design and the decor at this location—it really added a nice touch of personality! My first experience with Hotel Wing was in Kyoto, and this being my first time in Tokyo, I’m happy to say it lived up to the brand. The room was just as I remembered: clean, spacious, and stocked with all the same great amenities. A comfortable and consistent experience that made me feel right at home!

Overall, my stay was smooth, but I was surprised by a small fee for checking in late. I hadn’t seen any mention of this charge during the booking process, so it caught me off guard. It would’ve been really helpful to have that info upfront—just something to keep in mind if you’re arriving after hours!

First of all, all the front desk staff was very helpful and kind to answer all our questions and even helped us to book a taxi.. all amenities were provided at the lobby and you can take any of it.. and the most important part is the size of the room is bigger than other hotels room in japan that i’ve ever stayed..and the room and toilet was very clean… the pillow provided is too soft and its hard to sleep on it but you can ask for extra pillow at the front desk.. the bed is comfortable.. overall love our stay..

The location is quite a walk from ikebukero station about 15minutes walk.. especially after going for shopping all day long and u need to carry all the things back to the hotel,that is when you will feel the distance is quite far.. from ikebukero station you can exit from East Exit (sunshine city)..

The East side of Ikebukuro is my favourite place to stay in Tokyo and the location of this hotel is exceptionally good. The neighbourhood is calm, away from the bustle of the station but still within easy walking distance. The deluxe twin room was amazingly spacious and the beds were really big and comfortable. Pillows and duvets were nice and soft. The hotel itself is an older building that was partly renovated and updated. For example sink, toilet and shower appliances are newer and more modern than in other hotels of the same price range. The room was very comfortable to stay in and we had a lovely view across the city from our window! We also loved the vintage Taisho-inspired look of the hotel, it felt very cosy.

The AC in the room is an older generation that is sadly quite loud when in use, which was our only real gripe with the facilities. New towels are provided daily but cleaning service only every three days can become a little challenging during a longer stay. An option with more frequent cleaning would be nice.

Fantastic hotel with friendly & helpful staff, nice clean rooms, and good amenities including onsite coin laundry. I loved that eco-friendly service was a priority with cleanings not happening every day! Well-positioned in a lovely quiet street despite being close to busy Ikebukuro Station, plus lots of convenience stores and eateries nearby. A huge thank you to the staff here- I enjoyed my stay and look forward to visiting again one day!

No criticisms of note. Room was small but that was expected from a business hotel- and was perfectly suitable for solo travel!

The location and value for money was AMAZING!!

The rooms are very small, but I was expecting that and we barely spent time in the rooms so that wasn’t an issue with us. There is also some issues with the laundry system. If you don’t take your clothes out of the dryer the minute they finish they take them out for you and leave it with reception. Unsure if staff or other guests did it. But that was the only issue we had the whole trip.
