The best sleep I had in Ikebukuro. This is the 2nd time I stayed in Ikebukuro. I usually stay in Akihabara and Kabuchiko. My requests were made and the hot tea dispensers were awesome. Daily cleaning was excellent. Combinis and restaurants were short walks away. Being close to the station had was convenient.
The room was a bit tight but majority Japanese hotel rooms are small. The room was good enough for me. As long the A/C was working (especially in humid Tokyo July), I was happy.

The staff are amazing. They make you leave your keys at the front desk every time you leave but I go to izakayas a lot so I didn’t have to worry about losing it. You can also ask them to keep your stuff if in case you went on a quick shopping and don’t want to go to your room and will go out again. The front desk is manned 24/7 so you can check in anytime. The room is a typical japanese business hotel type so it’s a little cramped. But a good place to just spend the night to sleep. It’s also super close to nice restaurants and right next to a family mart. Ikebukuro station is only 5 mins away. Beware, though, it’s right next to Capcom that has gachas and claw machines! Will definitely drain your yens 😂
The room is a bit cramped so it is not recommended for travelers with more than 1 luggage. The air conditioning is centralized too so it’s hard to control the temp in the room

Great location in east ikebukuro, close to the majority of big shopping POIs like sunshine city (pokemon center mega tokyo), animate ikebukuro, etc. Lots of convis and arcades around that open late, like sega gigo and round 1. Accidentally booked a smoking room by accident, but staff helped deodorize the room so I didn't notice any difference, thanks!
As with most places in tokyo the rooms are fairly small, and walls quite thin. Not an issue if you're a night owl and most people have gone to bed but if you sleep early you might be kept up by the talking/banging on the walls some neighbors might do.

The staff and amenities are amazing. There's vending machines, washing machines, free tea and coffee - everything you could need. The staff were amazing from the receptionist to the cleaners, they were all so friendly and helpful.
The rooms are quite small but for the price it's perfect. we stayed there for a week which is quite a long stay for a small room - I think it would be better to maybe stay for just a few days.

There's many places of interest around the hotel, room was clean, staff was welcoming and the included breakfast was pretty good for the price, like in many japanese hotels, it's buffet style with a good variety of japanese and some more western options
There's a system where you need to personally hand the key to the staff every time you leave and collect it every time you arrive, it was a bit troublesome. Since there's only one key per room it might be troublesome for people traveling in groups. The inside is not very new, so there's a smell in the aisles (it was minor, and the room didn't have any smell so it was good). The only thing I was a bit put-off about was that around the bathroom door you could see some mold spots it was only there, nowhere in the other areas)

The rooms was really well kept and cleaned, didn´t have any issues with the room or with the staff. And the staff spoke English. The breakfast was always so delicious, every day something new will be added and the usual would still be there. the location was extremely nice and convenient, train station, stores and fast food places were all so close by.
I know I should have asked, but the little digital clock/light switch on the bed frame, when everything has been turned off, a slight buzzing sound can be heard. For a light sleeper, it made it impossible for me to sleep in peace. The time when the cleaning staff starts to clean the room is weirdly early.

The location is fantastic. There's a lot of restaurants, convenience stores and shops right around the corner and Ikebukuro station is pretty close, too. From there, you can easily access most of Tokyo and its sightseeing spots.
The wifi isn't password protected, so it is pretty weak. It was probably accessible around half the time I spent in the hotel room, but even then watching videos wasn't possible. There's internet cafés close by, but you'd have to pay for them. That was the only downside for me, though.

If you love anime, this hotel is the best choice. It's on a street next to Animate and more anime shops. There are also a lot of game centers and themed cafes nearby. Front desk is 24 hours, can speak english well, and will help you as they can. You can also catch the cleaners at 10AM to request for new towels. Ikebukuro station and Sunshine City Prince hotel ( for Narita Airport Limousine Bus ) is also within a few minutes walk.
Returning the key whenever you go out is a bit of a hassle but it's bearable and does not take much time since they have multiple staffs to assist. I was just kinda embarrass though because I need to return to my room multiple times due to a lot of shopping.

1. located in the centre of the city 2. many convenience stores and shopping centres nearby 3. well-equipped with necessities
1. cannot adjust a/c 2. very small room (something around 10 m2) 3. you need to put the key atr the counter everytime you leave the hotel 4. very strict entrance, cannot bring friends (even for chat or getting stuff) to the room - no flexibility allowed

Breakfast was ok to the standard of the hotel. Japan is different to western cuisines obviously. Could have had a few more choices to cater for non Japanese but ok. Location excellent to ikebukero’s shopping district & sunshine city. Beds were comfortable. Staff excellent as always in Japan I’ve found .
