The staff was wonderful, however on two separate occasions, the staff threw away items in my room that were not to be disposed of. I specifically brought tea from South Africa with me so I could drink it in the morning and they threw it all away. And then they also threw away some cookies that I bought from the local market. They were right up against the wall and it was strange why they would throw them away. I have kept my room incredibly neat and everything was in proper order. So why would they throw those away? My teabags were rather expensive and I don’t appreciate them disposing of them when I wanted to use them daily.

Pro: - Location. Steps away from Ikebukuro station, Animate, Sunshine City and lots of food/shopping. - Helpful front desk staff that speaks English. - Free coffee/tea near the front desk. - On-site laundry with washer & dryer (pay per use), with no need for detergent. - Lots of space for suit cases.

Con: - AC Strength. Maybe because it's the middle of summer and we were on the top floor, our room was never able to be cool enough, even if we set the AC to 15 degrees. - # of plugs near the bed. There is only 1 plug at the head of the bed, so if you are travelling with more than 1 person, the others will need to charge their devices on the desk, which can be a minor annoyance. - Space near bed. There is no nightstand/above bed space for small stuff like phone and glasses. So we ended up pulling the chair to the side so we can put stuff there. But that also means, we have to be careful when waking up at night, so we don't trip over the chair.

The location was great! Close to the station and close by to everything else we wanted to do. The service was great as well, easy to check in and out and the luggage storage was also very nice and accommodating for early arrivals and departure. Hotel seemed safe as well with adequate security. Room wasn't too bad and more spacious that expected. The shower was great and I appreciate having a mini fridge.

The beds were overall really hard for sleeping and the lighting could be a bit brighter.

Convenient location - close to ikebukuro metro and JR stations, lots of restaurants and convenience stores around. Decent amenities - coffee machine readily available and snacks provided at designated times.

Toilet is slightly small. Could do with a few more hooks to hang towels or clothes in the toilet. No wardrobe, with very minimal hangers to hang clothes or jackets. Seems weird that the official policy is to only clean the room after guests leave for stays more than 2 or 3 nights.

This is good Hotel and give me good experience, most staffs are very helpful, especially when I check out at afternoon (Nov 5th) and I need a taxi for my 4 big luggage and one of the Hotel staff said she can only call a taxi but no guarantee a taxi driver will take us or not, but another Hotel front desk staff (very smart), who is a Japanese staff his name like (Nasaponi, don't know this is a right name) he was providing exceptional customer service and he take us to the front door and in two minutes he found a taxi capable to take us to the skyliner (because the taxi driver can actually see how many luggage we have and will all luggage fit in the taxi or not.) The hotel staff is such a gentleman, very polite, very smart and his customer service is excellent. Breakfast is excellent too, American and Japanese style breakfast with so many choices and all kinds of drinks, the restaurant is big and have many tables available. The hotels also provide some donut at 3pm daily at the lobby. The hotel has a big sign on the top of the building, therefore easy to find when you want to go back to the hotel.

TV hang on the wall was loose and this should be a very easy fix (even I can do it in 10 minutes), but the hotel maintenance people weren't able to fix it. Therefore, I told the hotel staff leaves the TV on the floor because I need it for a monitor purpose for my laptop. (They offer me to change to another room, but I prefer to stay at the same room because it is close to the elevator).

super convenient location from ikebukuro station east exit north walking distance 10mins just straight down. ichiran is just at the back, 7-11 at the opposite street directly. my phone had some issues and very grateful for the hotel staff that helped me find a repair shop that can help me fix it! also thankful for the hotel to lend me a heater to keep me warm for the period of my stay

the beds were a bit on the harder side to my liking, there was no heater option installed in the rooms.

Have stayed at B several times, even before the Covid. Everything about the B is just excellent! Location is great, five minutes from the JR station, surrounded by few big departmental stores and many eateries. 7-11 is just opposite the hotel. Free coffee and snacks at lobby area made the stay even better! Last but not least, service from the staff is immaculate and as good as before!

The B is not a new hotel, small portion of wall coverings in the room was peeling off, however the bed was still very comfortable and room facilities are more than adequate.

One of the better locations in Ikebukuro, The B Hotel is only 7 minutes walk from the main station with access to JR and subway choices. Being able to quickly drop off the hotel for breaks or shopping hauls are terrific. Everything meets expectations in terms of cleanliness and size. Lots of great food options in the Ikebukuro downtown district, arcades, as well as popular shopping options, also walking distance to Sunshine City shopping mall.

They no longer allow Amazon deliveries to be made to the hotel for guests, so I might not be returning to this hotel unfortunately. I made an order and the staff kindly told me that they do not allow for Amazon deliveries anymore as he handed me my order. Standard Japanese hotel rooms are on the small side and this hotel is no exception. Their rates are good, so get the bigger rooms if you're travelling with a partner.

clean and well presented. nice free tee and coffee in reception and donuts. efficient and environmentally friendly cleaning service. laundry with in built detergent on 7th floor which was useful. well thought out amenities like fridge, toothpaste/brushes slippers and robes which were nice little extras. razors and combs also available in reception. the shower was lovely and the products were nice, smelt good and didn’t dry our skin like the ones in UK hotels! so if you are travelling light you can really pack minimal toiletries when staying in this hotel. great location, easy to get everywhere and the windows were well sound proofed so we slept well. we particularly liked Denny’s for breakfast across the road, mister donut round the corner and sushiro restaurant down the road towards the station. we needed early check in due to flight arriving at 7am and forgot to arrange this in advance but staff were accommodating and arranged the cleaning staff to get the room ready and allowed us to check in at 12pm for an additional charge. next time I would sort this our earlier. we were able to leave our luggage there and went for a wander around whilst waiting.

the room/bed was a bit small for three of us and the pillows and duvet were very thick and heavy so not great for my neck. it was hot so a thinner duvet would be better in summer even though it’s well air conditioned. might be worth paying more for a larger room next time.

The Location is really convenient for us to wander around Tokyo, less than 5 mins walk to Ikebukuro east exit.

The room is a bit small, but it's understandable in one of most expensive cities, Tokyo.
