Impeccably clean, even for the high standards of a Japanese hotel. Staff was super helpful when my friend left a camera in the room and we had left the city they contacted me immediately and were very accommodating in getting the camera returned.

Very very little to complain about. The price per night was slightly higher than I would have liked so the value for money is not as good as some places I've stayed in Japan. But prices are rising across the board for hotel accommodations in Japan so it is not particularly surprising.

There was a quiet place to work on our laptops on the second floor. Drinks and snacks were available. On the ground floor, there’s a room where you can securely leave your luggage, both larger suitcases and lockers for smaller bags. Also a laundry room, where there’s an ice machine and microwave.

There’s a sensor light which switched on during the night if one of us needed to go to the bathroom! We couldn’t turn it off. Not a big deal really!

The room is tidy and clean. We reserved double room, the room is a bit small, but you can get all your daily need. Free tea bag, instant soup and coffee provided in the lobby. Walkable distance to the center of the city.

We stayed at 8/F, we waited the lift for 30 minutes at peak hour to go out. The lift is always full at the morning around 0830-0900, no matter it is going up or down. It would be good if hotel can arrange a lift lady/man at the peak hour to better organize the use of the lift.

This Hotel has a very good price for the area it is situated in. The personal speaks very good english and the overall experience was good. If you arrive by car, the hotel has contracts with two nearby parking garages. There you pay 1200¥ for one night. You can get a breakfast buffet, but it was a bit expensive overall. The only flaw we experienced, was that the rain shower was a bit calcified, so it did not feel optimal. There is a second normal shower though so it was no problem.

The breakfast buffet was the best we have had during our trip in Japan. Many options, from Asian to Western. The room and bathroom were also quite big and modern. The location was also good, a 20-minute walk to Kumamoto castle and there is a nearby bus station where a direct bus departures to the Aso Volcano. Also only a few minutes walking distance from the shopping street with many bars and restaurants.

Location is good. Within 10 minutes walk to Sakuramachi. This hotel is modern. Free welcome drink. Bed is comfortable. Staff is helpful.

Just minor problems. The room is quite small for 3 people. There are no hooks in the toilet for hanging clothes. Coin laundry may be a problem since the usage is high, queuing is expected. Parking space is limited.

Convenient to public transport, shopping, and tourist sites. Friendly helpful staff who went out of their way to assist you. We loved the breakfast which caters for all cultures. Very tasteful, well presented and very efficient staff. From 2pm onwards until 10.00pm we were able to use this space. Fabulous laundry facilities on level 1 with an iron and ironing board on each floor. Ability to safely store your luggage when arrival (check in time is 3.00pm).

The location is on a main road close to Sakura bus station and road subway yet in a quiet neighborhood. Very convenient to main spots, convenient stores and drug stores. The design of the room is cosy and provides a sense of resting for a day of hassle. The amenities are fully offered and the shower amenities in room are nice smelling. Breakfast is a must try!

The shower room is small and there is slight water stain in the sink. Breakfast coffee is not so good.

Hotel was good. The overall stay was good and the bus terminal was very close. Lots of shopping options within walking distance of the hotel. The lighting in the hotel and the room was not adequate in my opinion, and there was no water bottle.

I left my backpack on a train before arriving. Not only did they better my and JR's efforts to track it down but the staff were so genuinely excited when it turned up that I was deeply moved by their kindness and engagement. Kumomoto is also a great base for touring the western side of Kyushu.
