Great location. About 11mins walk from Nishiki Market and the surrounding shopping area. There is also a bus stop and a 7-11 down the street for convenience. Nakau was very close buy and become my groups favorite cheap breakfast spot. Staff were very kind and helpful. They were able to accommodate us and put us on the same floor. Price was very good and affordable.

Main issue we had were that the beds were a bit hard (may be okay for a short stay, but was rough for our long stay). The AC in our room was drippy. The four-person room was a little cramped and didn't have space to hold big checked luggage (We just put all the big luggage in the five-person room).

I stayed here with a group of friends and overall, we had a pleasant experience. The rooms were small but still big enough to have four suitcases open at the same time—walking space was limited, but we were able to move around comfortably. The beds were quite firm, but that wasn’t a concern for our group. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they answered all my questions promptly through Booking.com. It’s in a great location—close to public transit and within a 10–20 minute walk of most major tourist attractions. There’s also a 7-Eleven right nearby, which was super convenient. A nice touch was that the hotel provided umbrellas when it rained, which saved us from having to buy our own.

The only downside was the laundry situation—there’s only one machine for the entire building, which made it tricky to do laundry during peak times.

After booking everything online, the check in and out process is very simple. There are simple amenities at the front desk like hair brushes or toothpaste if you need it, and the luggage hold is free to use yourself during the stay. The staff is very efficient and helpful. The binder in the hotel was pretty detailed with how to contact them and what to do with sorting trash, for example. Then, the room was a decent size, just slightly small for 4 people; however, the bathroom was equipped with a view, shower, bathtub, and cool toilet. The location is great as well! It's very close to bus stops (train stations are slightly further), but restaurants, a convenience store, a drug store, grocery stores. and yamato luggage is within walking distance. A quiet and simple location in Kyoto.

They had a washer and dryer on the location. While the washer was nice, the dryer does not work well. We walked down the street to a 24/7 washer and dryer. Also, since the bus station is close, you will have to use it to explore any large tourist destinations, so it's not walkable in that aspect. Microwaves are also located for every other floor, and we didn't win that lottery, so going down a floor every time we wanted to warm food was a bit inconvenient.

Stayed here with as a group of 3 friends. I lived in Japan for years and have visited Kyoto many times but never stayed in this area. I was surprised with how close it is to the main shopping/dinning areas. It was less than a 15 min walk or a few mins walk to a bus stop. It’s also close to 3 different train lines which makes getting around Kyoto very convenient.

It’s a very small room for 3 adults but not that much smaller than other Japanese hotel rooms.

it was relatively near kyoto station (15min walk) and very easy to locate using taxis. nearest train station was about 10min walk i belive. but since its kyoto youll be relying more on buses any. and this place was near a bus station (2mins way). staff were very wonderful and accomodating too. helped us checkin our bags early, directions to attractions, even with direction to a clinic/hospital should we need one. plus they are very accomodating to queries even before you arrive via the chat page. such a comfort to know someone is expecting you when you arrive.

beds were kinda stiff to our liking, even pillows but since our stay 9 japan trip consisted of 5 hotels and id say this is kinda normal. 3 out of 5 of them were similar so i guess thats japan for you. only our osaka stay really stood out. and it was like sleeping on a cloud. we still got a good nights rest without any problems

Great place for our family. Amazing location. I slept on the couch, which was comfortable, and the rest of the family slept in the beds. Has a kettle and a mini fridge plus cups. Very clean and well run. Enough space for us for 8 days. One minor issue issue: windows don’t open. But fresh air was vented into the room.

The staff was not every time at the reception as they had to take care of the cleaning. However, a very practical and easy way to check in and out was offered and the suitcases could also be stowed in the lobby for free (and with a lock!). The room was a bit small for three people, each with a large suitcase, but otherwise met our expectations in terms of cleanliness, facilities and comfort. The staff was also very accommodating, friendly and helpful. In general, I would describe the BON Kyoto Kiyumizu as more familiar than a big hotel or chain, which was very pleasant!

no dresser to store the clothes

the location is great as it is extremely close to kamo river. it is about 5 bus stops away from kyoto main station and within walking distance to kyoto kawaramachi station. the amenities were great and umbrellas were provided at the lobby whenever it is raining. the room is small but cozy and there is a microwave outside our room to heat up our food.

our room is a little small for 4 luggages but it is nevertheless cozy. the smoking area is also just outside the lobby so the cigarette smell tends to float in.

Súper well located, 15-20 min walk from Kyoto St. and also just outside the building is the Bus Stop, that takes you everywhere because it is on the main road of Kyoto. The room was spacious and the bathroom was good size. Staff was also very friendly, also they had option to store your luggage after check in, is you’re leaving later. Price is super good for the location and room.

They don’t clean the room. Our stay was for a week and didn’t change the lining nor clean the bathroom. I requested the staff to change the towels and the agreed, which was great. But would be good if they at least change lining and clean room each 3 days.. They don’t offer breakfast, would be convenient. Also staff barely speaks English, I asked them recommendations for breakfast and dinner, and they didn’t know, so maybe would be good if hotel have printed some near restaurants recommendations.

Location was minutes walk away from main Gion shopping district. The room was not huge but the beds were good size and very comfy. I booked this at the last minute and the lady at the counter was prompt in getting the room ready and was extremely polite. I love the free luggage storage area!

Other than the room being a little small for the price (probably due to my last minute booking) I can't think of anything that I did not like about my stay here.
