Good location, walking distance from Nishiki Market, Pontocho Alley, Gion, and even Ninenzaka/Sannenzaka. Kombini just across the road, and bus stop very close. Nice, clean room, comfortable bed. Washer/dryer worked fine. Very friendly and helpful staff. My pre-sent luggage was already in my room when i came to check in, and they filled out the forms and called ahead to my next destination so i could send my luggage ahead when checking out.

This hotel has been one of the best we’ve stayed at in Kyoto. Not only is the location great, but the staff also go out their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They were very kind and attentive to our requests for celebrating our wedding anniversary. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Kyoto.

The hotel Is super clean, the staff is incredible polite, the location was perfect to me, it's just few minutes from the station 1000yen by taxi, I could walk to the main tourist spots, market, temples, shirines. I found also the best restaurants and bars in that area, you can walk by the river starting just few steps from the hotel

Perfect Kyoto location. Close to Gion but also to downtown and station. Lots of great bars and restaurants in strolling distance. Felt new and rooms were clean, quiet and good sized. Extremely good value at time of booking. Really friendly staff and they offer free breakfast snacks.

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our honeymoon in Japan. The hospitality and attention to detail from the staff were truly outstanding – our heartfelt compliments to the management! The hotel is centrally located and very convenient. Our room was lovely – simple yet thoughtfully designed, soundproof, with a beautiful view and the rare bonus of windows that actually open. The bathroom was modern and very comfortable. We also really appreciated the coin laundry and the small breakfast available for guests. What touched us the most were the handwritten notes from the entire staff and the polaroid photo they gave us as a keepsake – we truly felt cared for and pampered. Thank you for making our stay so special. See you again soon!

One small tip for future guests: pay attention to the buttons near the bed! Not all of them control the lights—one actually signals whether you want that side of the bed made or not. We accidentally pressed it while turning off the lights and ended up with only half the bed made the next day! Once we figured it out, it was both hilarious and kind of genius—but it could definitely confuse first-time visitors.

This was the best place we stayed at in our whole Japan trip! My favourite thing about this place were the staff - they are so sweet and lovely!!!! We had a lot of questions and they were always so friendly and helpful, even through the language barrier. The room was not huge but that’s pretty standard for Japan. However it did have a king size bed which was great. other than that the rooms were very clean with great heating, and we had housekeeping daily! This was an exceptional stay and would definitely stay again for our next Kyoto trip ⭐️

Only thing I could pick out about this place was that it’s a bit far away from stuff - about 20 mins walk to Kyoto station and 20 mins walk to the main/central shopping area. it’s really not that bad at all but we were here in winter so it just felt like ages to walk to get dinner when it was 2 degrees lol

It was perfect. Rooms are spacious enough for 2, bathroom is fantastic (it’s 30% of the entire room so ratio-wise it’s a huge bathroom for that room), staff js polite and super caring, location is few minutes away from various attractions but also far enough to be extremely quiet during the night. Only note is if you are a big breakfast person and see the breakfast included option, you may be disappointed as it’s more of a complimentary pastries/yoghurt and coffee. For me this was more than okay all things considered.

The staff of this hotel is really helpful and nice. They speak a pretty decently English and they could answer all our questions. The hotel itself is nicely located at walking distance to the famous Nishiki market and its large shopping zone and rather close to the Gion district, making it a really good stay for people who like to explore without using transportation. But if you prefer the latter, the hotel is right near main bus lines, which will conveniently take you to the main touristic areas. The room was decently spacious for the price and very comfortable. Finally, it is to note that the hotel offers a light but nice breakfast.

Nothing really that we did not appreciate. The hotel was exactly what we were expecting and we did not encounter any issue during our stay there. Maybe we can state that there is not a lot of food options closely around, but it's a very minor comment.

Front desk staff were incredible. Could not do enough to make our stay even better

The cleaner on 9th floor was absolutely useless. The bath was never washed and twice the bed was not made when we got back in the evening.
