The hotel Is super clean, the staff is incredible polite, the location was perfect to me, it's just few minutes from the station 1000yen by taxi, I could walk to the main tourist spots, market, temples, shirines. I found also the best restaurants and bars in that area, you can walk by the river starting just few steps from the hotel

I couldn't stay more days, my holiday is over.

Perfect Kyoto location. Close to Gion but also to downtown and station. Lots of great bars and restaurants in strolling distance. Felt new and rooms were clean, quiet and good sized. Extremely good value at time of booking. Really friendly staff and they offer free breakfast snacks.

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our honeymoon in Japan. The hospitality and attention to detail from the staff were truly outstanding – our heartfelt compliments to the management! The hotel is centrally located and very convenient. Our room was lovely – simple yet thoughtfully designed, soundproof, with a beautiful view and the rare bonus of windows that actually open. The bathroom was modern and very comfortable. We also really appreciated the coin laundry and the small breakfast available for guests. What touched us the most were the handwritten notes from the entire staff and the polaroid photo they gave us as a keepsake – we truly felt cared for and pampered. Thank you for making our stay so special. See you again soon!

One small tip for future guests: pay attention to the buttons near the bed! Not all of them control the lights—one actually signals whether you want that side of the bed made or not. We accidentally pressed it while turning off the lights and ended up with only half the bed made the next day! Once we figured it out, it was both hilarious and kind of genius—but it could definitely confuse first-time visitors.

This was the best place we stayed at in our whole Japan trip! My favourite thing about this place were the staff - they are so sweet and lovely!!!! We had a lot of questions and they were always so friendly and helpful, even through the language barrier. The room was not huge but that’s pretty standard for Japan. However it did have a king size bed which was great. other than that the rooms were very clean with great heating, and we had housekeeping daily! This was an exceptional stay and would definitely stay again for our next Kyoto trip ⭐️

Only thing I could pick out about this place was that it’s a bit far away from stuff - about 20 mins walk to Kyoto station and 20 mins walk to the main/central shopping area. it’s really not that bad at all but we were here in winter so it just felt like ages to walk to get dinner when it was 2 degrees lol

It was perfect. Rooms are spacious enough for 2, bathroom is fantastic (it’s 30% of the entire room so ratio-wise it’s a huge bathroom for that room), staff js polite and super caring, location is few minutes away from various attractions but also far enough to be extremely quiet during the night. Only note is if you are a big breakfast person and see the breakfast included option, you may be disappointed as it’s more of a complimentary pastries/yoghurt and coffee. For me this was more than okay all things considered.

Front desk staff were incredible. Could not do enough to make our stay even better

The cleaner on 9th floor was absolutely useless. The bath was never washed and twice the bed was not made when we got back in the evening.

+ Great location + Amazing staff at front desk especially Watanabe + The staff acknowledged a special occasion with little attentions + Laundry machine is very useful - Complicated A/C control therefore room was always too hot / too cold - We found a used pair of leggings in the room at check-in from a previous guest. - A/C unit filter was full of dust but was cleaned straight away with apologies - I looked under the bed before checking out to not forget anything and I wish I did not : found used earbuds and a lot of dust, again…

From the moment I stepped into Traveltine Hotel, I knew I was in for a special stay. It perfectly matched the wondeful city of Kyoto! Their uncanny attentiveness left a lasting impression, every time I entered the lobby or returned to my room, staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine kindness. It felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being cared for in a beautiful home. Their thoughtfulness made everything, from check-in to late-night inquiries, feel seamless and personal. Traveltine balanced polished aesthetic with heartfelt hospitality in a way few places do. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and kindness.

The room was comfortable and spacious, the bathroom was large and there was enough place in the "living area" for both our large luggages. The location is spectacular, 5 min walk to Gion, bus stop right outside the hotel, a mini mart right outside the door. You can not ask for more

It is pretty common for every hotel we stayed at in Japan but the washing machines aren't really that good. The clothes never gets dry and in some cases the smell is worse than before using the washing machine. Perhaps we were just unlucky with our machine but it happened 3 times throughout our Japan trip from Tokyo to Osaka

Appreciate the hospitality the hotel provides with full of welcome and passion. Glad I can be the first customer to enjoy this place. Super comfortable and it’s right by the Kano river which is awesome 👏🏼
