Breakfast options were very good and a good mix of various cultural options to chose from, breakfast was clean and well organised and a very relaxing way to start the day. the room was perfect we found for 3 people it was one of the best in terms of space for luggage and bags, the bathroom was also very ideal for a group of people as multiple people could be using different amenities at the same time with privacy.

The only difference I found with other hotels was that they would replenish the room with fresh water bottles everyday. We typically carried out own bottles through the day and reused them, however in the heat of summer it is nice to come back to fresh cold water at the end of a very hot busy day

Everything was amazing. This hotel truly feels like my home in Kyoto. Thank you, my friend Bala, for always making time for my extra wishes and even treating me to my favorite cappuccino when I returned for the second time to the DoubleTree. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and kind — I genuinely felt at home. The breakfast was amazing, and the location is perfect — just a 10-minute walk to all the must-see tourist spots. There are bus stops and a metro station right next to the hotel, and convenience stores just across the street. I tried many hotels during my 3 weeks in Kyoto, and from now on, I’ll always choose Hilton DoubleTree Higashiyama. Thank you for everything! 💜

The hotel was still quite new, the room was quiet and bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and many speak English well, so this makes a number of things much easier. The hotel is also a very short walk to a subway station close to the Kamo river.

The room was a bit smaller than anticipated although this is common for Japan. The location is slightly further away from the main tourist areas, so one does need to walk or take the subway, but it is flat.

Love the hotel and rooms. Staff is friendly - special shout out to Joseph and everyone at the front desk always friendly, helpful and trying their best for the hotel guests. The cleaning staff is also great - always smiley and its great coming back to a nice, superbly tidied up room. Great location - peaceful and near train station and short drive away from major Kyoto attraction, such as Gion. Will always stay at this hotel when in Kyoto.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was perfect as it was a walking distance to a lot of the main areas around Kyoto. The staff were really accommodating and friendly and we loved the warm cookie we received from the reception desk as soon as we checked in. It was a really nice gesture! Will definitely come back here again.

Brand new hotel with spacious room and elegant decor. Gym and public bath are good. Breakfast is great.

The location is reasonably convenient but not really at the city center.

Very nice and still fairly new hotel close to attractions in Higashiyama. I liked the room and amenities as well as the sento bath on site. Breakfast offered a very good choice and even had the original Swiss bircher muesli! The staff was super friendly and international. A subway station is right around the corner, and walking to Kiyomizu temple takes about 20 mins.

The hotel is located on a very large and busy road, but I knew that when making the booking.

The staff friendliness and very helpful attitude. We had a serious medical issue and Chaudhary Sagar contacted a hospital and arranged medical interpretation. This assistance was so helpful. We had to extend our stay as a result of this issue and Manager Lee took full control and assisted in every way. Each individual staff member was superb and the names are too numerous to mention.

Traditional Japanese style, a little bit of it. I like the room bath. Room is spacious. Hotel in quiet area. There are near groceries and subway stations at the corner The staff is very helpful

The hotel is located in isolated area and far from vibrant downtown, Kawaramachi. For me, that is fine and I like quiet area and to use Metro If you like to stay near restaurants and busy area, this is definitely not your choice
