The hotel was quite comfortable, clean and spacious for japanese room standards. Quite area as well.

Before 3pm there might not be anyone at the front desk to hold onto your luggage until you're check in time so you may have to plan around this. The front door doesnt open past 9pm so keep this mind if coming back to the hotel late

Large room sizing was a huge bonus at a very affordable price. There was also fantastic free washer and dryer use. Very clean and standard amenities provided. Fairly quiet as it is not on a main road. Wifi is fast and reliable. They received our luggage forwarding from Tokyo with no issues.

Note that reception is not 24 hours. No luggage forwarding. The hotel is a bus ride away from the main Kyoto station, which can sometimes be frustrating if you need to use the main station frequently. Otherwise, nil issues and we had a lovely stay!

This was the best stay in Japan for us! The location is great, close to all touristic points so you can easily walk but also in a quiet street that you can avoid the crowds and actually rest. It is like 15-20mins walk from the central station and also very close to subway and bus stops. The whole building is very new, well taken care off and spotless. The staff are very kind and attentive. The room is spacious and the small kitchenette has everything you might need for heating up or preparing some food.

Superb rooms, double room suite with two bedrooms was perfect for my party. The bedrooms were brilliantly sized and the bathrooms were fabulous - heated shower roof helped with clothes drying and general comfort! Comfy beds with large space for luggage too really was amazing. Not to mention the very super location too.

Mishap with our bags on leaving, we used their luggage service but through miscommunication of employees they were not sent to the desired location, leaving us having to wait for our bags for a while. This was all eased out by the employees though, these things happen. Did not distract from room quality though!!

We loved our time at this hotel. First and foremost, our room was very spacious - by Japanese standards it was downright enormous. We were very pleasantly surprised when we opened the door. The amenities were top-notch (bathrooms, AC, fridge, storage space, you name it). Hotel was well-located, close to central sites, a bit of a walk (25min) to Kyoto Station but 5-10 minutes by cab. The staff were helpful and courteous. Highly recommend this Stay Sakura property for your next Kyoto trip!

(4) Kitchen for simple cooking with microwave. (5) Spacious room when compared to most hotels in Japan.

The hotel crew was very obliging. They spoke Japanese and English fluently and helped us with all our questions! The cleaning service was very nice as well and we couldn't have a cleaner space! Sadly one of the laundry/dryer machine didn't dry the clothes, even though we tried it like three times but that's the only issue we had during our stay! I definitely recommend staying at Stay Sakura in Kyoto!

The hotel is well-located to main attractions in Kyoto, there are also many nice restaurants and cafés in the area. Facilities include a washer and dryer which was very useful during our stay. The staff were great and very accommodating to all our needs. We could leave our luggage at the hotel after we checked out for a last hassle-free day of sightseeing.

We liked almost everything about the hotel - the location was awesome, the room (although by European standards a bit small) had everything we needed, including a small freezer compartment in the fridge, cupboard for storing clothes and luggage, even a small kitchen with a sink and a microwave. There were also 2 washer/dryers which were free to use.

Excellent location, walking distance to Kiyomizu-dera, Gion, and Pontocho. We had a 1-bedroom suit rhat had everything you could wish for and even more. Pristinely clean. Helpful staff on premise during the day hours. However, note that a sofa in a living room is suitable only for a petite person o a child.
