I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is perfect — just steps away from many attractions and restaurants, and right in front of a metro station, which made getting around super easy. The room was adorable, decorated in a charming Japanese style that added to the overall experience. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back again!

The only downside was the sound insulation. Conversations in the hallway carried straight into the room, which could be bothersome—especially late at night. If the hotel could improve the soundproofing, it would make an already delightful stay truly perfect.

Truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, everything is impeccable and perfect in every detail. The location is the best you can get, in Gion, very close to the subway line to the Inari shrine, and a 20-minute walk from the central station. There are many convenience stores and restaurants within 50 meters of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities you would expect from a high-class hotel, including an air purifier. The cleaning of the entire hotel, especially the room, is rigorous and impeccable. The entire hotel looks new and shiny. The staff is smart, always ready and very friendly. One thing that really surprised me was that everything is free! Pajamas, slippers, free laundry, and even a free soda machine! In short, everything is perfect and highly recommended!

The two main things to enthuse about here are the excellent staff and the location. This room is sort of a ryokan style set up but more basic. I would say its fine. Everything you need is there with no frills. The breakfast room was nice and we were allowed to leave our luggage for a few hours after check out. The location is very good not for where the hotel sits itself.but because it is positioned giving you quick access to 3 of the main areas you'll want to see in Kyoto. Its a short walk to the edge of the traditional part of town with many impressive shrines to visit. Also it is very near the canal which is very worth walking along and it is walkable to the new part of town and shops. There is a general store just next door. For a functional stay this is a good place to consider and as mentioned before the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

There are rooms on the front of the hotel but we were given a room on the side. I was able to open the window and touch the wall of the building next to us. Don't get room 303 if you want a view.....or daylight! :-)

The hotel is excellent for a vacation trip. Most visiting places are nearby, some even walking distance. Right outside there is a metro station and a bus station so getting around is super easy. The staff of the hotel might lack in English skills but the willingness to help made that up a hundred times. The hotel itself was great - super clean and offering all necessities. There is a laundry machine and shoe drying machine which makes the hotel great for longer stays as well. We somehow also got breakfasts included even without booking it which was a very pleasant surprise. All in all - would recommend.

Great location, access to keihan line and bus stops. Kyoto station is a bit harder but with luggage we took a taxi anyway. Laundry facilities were sufficient, cheap too. Mattress/futon was comfortable (we prefer firm), the room we got has an extra sofa so there's extra space to organize luggage.

Breakfast has 0 vegan options except for salad wo dressing. But it was free as a limited time offer, glad we didn't need to pay for it.

The hotel is conveniently placed between Kyoto Station and the town centre. We walked to both, but both bus and train transport are available. The free breakfast was perfect for us (coffee, croissants, fruit salad), and free coffee and soft drinks are available 24/7. The best thing about the hotel is its Staff. We stayed for two nights with a two night gap in-between and were allowed to leave our large cases in the hotel during our two day absence. The gentleman in charge also allowed us to leave our cases till late on our second day and booked a taxi for us to go to Osaka airport - cheaper than the taxis available via Booking.com! Definitely recommend this hotel.

The rooms are quite small, especially if you have large suitcases, but this is reflected in the price, which is very reasonable.

The hotel is functional, it is on the quiet side of Kyoto and easily accesible from Kyoto station. I arrived very late at night (around 1 a.m.) and the personnel was very nice and waited for me to check in as I was running late from my previous destination. There are many combinis around, the breakfast is basic but nice to have. Amenities were basic but ok. The room is quiet and even if the bed is on the floor it is comfortable. Kyoto is easy to traverse from the bus stations and subway stations, so you can start early after breakfast and come back late at night, after walking from the main shopping areas. It is a little far from the biggest temples, but I think it is better that you can get easily to Kyoto station to get to Osaka or back to Tokyo.

Couldn't find beberages at the dining hall as advertised 24/7. The room is only cleaned if you stay for over 3 nights, I believe but you can easily see everything in Kyoto in 2-3 days.

I like the location, it was at the river, near a subway line and some bus stops. Kiyomizu-dera is a 15 minute walk away, so is Gion. There is a Family Mart next to the hotel entrance. We stayed 5 nights and wanted to relax a bit in Kyoto so we got the Delux Apartment with 2 beds. The room was spacious and we actually got an extra bed for our child (which was not necessary). Our room was at the top floor and we had a nice view over the Kyoto Tower and the river. The bathroom was ultramodern and large, with a bubble bath and a tv. It was nice to relax there in the evenings. The hotel offered a very basic breakfast (bread, coffee, cereal), but it was free and complimentary so no complaints. Family Mart

Our room on the top floor had full windows and a view, reaching over the neighboring building, but the floors below were facing a wall of that building. It was not clear from the room description if we would get a view or not, I wouldn't be happy if our windows faced a wall.

Deluxe Family room is spacious. 2 big beds. Comfortable after a tired day. The mattresses are on a platform. So it has the traditional tatami style. We like the shower area where we can choose to have a heated bathroom in the cold weather. Hotel provided free laundry service. Just need to buy detergent with cost of 50yen. Location is good, walking distance to Gion area and all the way to Kiyomizu-dera. 3-4mins to train station. It only took us 15mins to Fushimi-Inari via Keihan line.

Carpet looks dated. Other than that is quite satisfactory

Excellent location, walking distance to many restaurants and the ancient and beautiful Gion district, right on the river and most importantly next to a train station. Reception desk active 24/7, very courteous and helpful. Breakfast is included in the price. Free washing machine and dryer (cost of 50 yen for washing liquid). Free soft drinks and coffee machines almost all day. Spacious room (no bed base, only a mattress but it is comfortable). Great value for the low price!

The breakfast is not so good and there is no base for the bed. These are marginal things only
