Location was great. The house is close to a main road as well as a train station but is situated on a side road down a small alley. This kept transportation options and convenience stores within walking distance, while still having the piece and quit of a residential area. Pickup of keys was simple and close to the main train station we arrived in Kyoto on. They also took our bags to the House for us for a very small fee, so we were able to star exploring Kyoto the day we arrived. The living room had heated floors, which was unexpected but nice since some of the days were a bit cold outside.

Futons were plush but can still be a bit uncomfortable if you sleep on your side. The stairs to get to the second floor were a bit steep. Children, and elderly individuals my need to take caution when going up or down them, especially if they are using them during the night to go the the restroom or kitchen area.

Overall it was great, i will recommend it others. They provide a free taxi from checkin office to property. We didnot know this as the didnot inform untill we were there for checkin.

Just the entire room had a bad smell, i dont really know where it was coming from, either the house material, paint, cooking spice from previous guest or could be anything. It was bothering at the beginning untill we stayed for sometime inside. Better to utilize an air purifyer to reduce the smell and dust.

Perfect location, lots of room for family of 4, well appointed for eating in and unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Heated flooring keeps your feet warm, large quality TV, great bath shower combo, all rooms reverse cycle air con.

The traditional futons, or more like camping mattresses, are very uncomfortable. If the beds had more padding, then review would be 10/10.

We like the location and the layout and deco of the villa. Although the living room and dining area are small, we had no problem of using it for taking care of business and having breakfasts.

Not enough hangers for drying our laundry. Can't comment on the cookware as we didn't cook real meals while staying.

Excellent place! Easy check in process. Hosts were very attentive to our needs and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Great location- close to wonderful attractions and close to bus stops and the metro. We love our time there! Highly recommend!

nice little renovated machiya great location, very quiet walking distance to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Sannenzaka, Gion, Kiyomizu-Gojō Keihan train station and the Kamo river

the house is dark inside and you'll need to keep the lights on at all time downstairs no wardrobe or space to hang your clothes apart from 4 hooks in the entrance space

The check-in was near Kyoto Station, the girl at the desk was pretty helpful even if she didn't speak much english, they gave us the key and some small explanation and then order a taxi to take us to the place (taxi was paid by them, and they explain exactly where to go to the taxi driver) The accommodation was superb, everything was new and clean, really comfortable place. The place we choose was super centric and was close to many stations and public transport, which allow us to explore Kyoto even more.

My only complaint would be with the futons, they were a bit hard and uncomfortable.

Large space and had everything we needed. We would definitely booked again with Rinn.

Thought taxi would of drop us off at the front door but we had to look for the place which was harder to do because we arrived at night but we managed to figure it out.

I loved the upstairs airy Tanami rooms to sleep in. The villa was very close to amazing shrines and temples. The bath was really great. The fridge was quite large. Aesthetically pleasing. Quiet area.

This is a beautiful house - very clean and very classy. The staff are responsive and helpful. It's also next to some great restaurants!
