Great location within short walking distance from the Kyoto train station. A bit further away from Downtown Kyoto where most of the tourist attractions are - most are within 15-20min bus ride. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, even the members who struggled a bit with a language barrier. Very generous room size and well equipped - good iron and ironing board, microwave/mini oven, good range of amenities.

Would be lovely if there was a water fountain available. Unfortunately, the Inn could only offer tap water (which is safe to drink). There is a vending machine just outside the building and a Family Mart up the road.

Wonderful, Japanese-inspired interior design that makes the room feel warm and welcoming. Lots of amenities for travelers, and has decent room for bulky luggage. Nice and clean bathrooms, plus comfortable beds for relaxing after a long day of touring Kyoto. Five to ten minutes away from Kyoto station, and is in a neighborhood with plenty of good restaurants to pick from. It is also close to a few convenience stores, and is five minutes away from a coin laundry.

A quiet, peaceful inn approximately a ten minute walk from the train station. Basically in the city centre but on a quiet little street just far enough away from the main drag. Very comfortable beds, and a lovely minimalist living area with wardrobes and sitting area. The room was more like a suite and had a separate kitchen/prep area through a curtain with fridge, sink, microwave etc, a bathroom as well as another WC with just a toilet/sink, so we were well catered for. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our luggage while we went out to explore the nearby Fushimi Inari Shrine. The gentleman at the desk gave us a dual language note of nearby coffee shops, restaurants etc which was really helpful. When we arrived back in the evening, our luggage had been placed in our room for us, which was nice and wouldn't usually happen in a bigger hotel. We didn't have breakfast and were travelling on the next day so I'm not sure what those facilities were like (or if there were any).

Everything was great. I don't think there's any bar or restaurant or anything like that in the inn, but for us that wasn't necessary anyway: the location was so central that everything is within walking distance, and we were more than happy with the room facilities. Staff were quietly friendly, discrete and helpful and the inn was peaceful and comfortable.

The location is very convinient to kioto station but a tad far from the city center. The lobby is a bit small and it is a bit complicated when you arrive with big bags and change shoes, nothing to bad though! We would love the little onsen to be for free, with reservation.

Amazing modern hotel in Traditional Japanese style. Personnel was very friendly and had a lot of good tips! Very big room, very nicely decorated and all you need was there. The location is also great as it's very close to Kyoto station and there are some nice sightseeing spots closeby.

Staff was very very friendly. They even helped us send our luggage to our next stop. Check in/check out was easy. They had a little card wishing us a wonderful honeymoon. Loved the Japanese western style. Lots of room for me and my husband. Easy to navigate to Kyoto station. Wanted to wander Kyoto some more after checking out and they held our backpacks while we explored. Would definitely stay here again.

We ran out of time and did not get to use the private bath.

An ideally located, semi-traditional Japanese hotel in Kyoto. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. They give special attention to details and make sure that the guest's experience is a priority. Excellent location and very atmospheric inn. Quiet room and very attentive front desk staff.

The room was cramped for three of us. We would have liked to have a bit more space for our suitcases (three carry-on sized suitcases).

Nice spacious room, easy to find, very welcoming staff.

A little noisy, you can hear the plumbing from next room and the second flood room has windows that don't fully close against the noise.
