Cleanliness of the room and the facilities, helpful staff for our late check-in (10pm+).

Everything was good, but the space might be a little small for three adults with luggage.

It was near enough to Kyoto station. A 5 to 10 mins stroll and the rooms are clean, with absolutely comfortable beds to rest in.

A pity that the dryer isn’t the hot dryer. Our washed clothes needed more than 24 hours to dry

Location was very convenient, close to Kyoto station(8-10min walk), and also to streets where you can get buses to main attractions. The surrounding area is full of restaurants and stores because Kyoto station is a gathering of many shopping malls buildings and underground passageways full of stores. Despite that, the hotel is located in a quiet and silent area. There is an elevator at the hotel so you can have luggage with you. They also provide shampoo, conditioner and body soap besides several other small vanity items and there are some items available at the reception. The apartment is equipped with a sink, a cooktop, a microwave and a fridge that allows you to have some small meals within your own room. The bathroom is small but with separate areas with the toilet with a small sink and the shower/bathtub. The toilet is very comfortable and the bathroom has a heater. There is another sink outside the bathroom also with a mirror and a cabinet. All the access (to Irori and also to the apartments) is made by code (no cards for doors or keys needed)

The rooms are quite small and in our case(3ppl in the same apt) there was not enough space to open up a medium sized luggage. The sink in the cabinet was not draining water properly. We also missed some more hooks inside the bathroom.

Hotel IRORI was the first hotel we stayed at in Japan, and it was very clean and pleasant. The room came with a temperature controlled shower, comfortable beds, balcony, microwave, fridge, multiple trash bins (for recycling), a washer/dehydrator, plates, metal utensils, etc. It was practically a fully furnished small apartment. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and they spoke great English. We arrived early in the morning, the staff offered to store our luggage and even bring it to our room when the room was ready. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the train station, with easy access to convenience stores, shops, and restaurants. We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

The laundry machine doesn't dry clothes, we had to hang up the clothes to dry after dehydrating. Not an issue as everything else was perfect!

We loved this place, on arrival we were early and they accommodated us with letting us get into our room early which was brilliant! The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was small but perfectly formed, we had everything we needed including a washing machine which was really useful after travelling for a few days already, we managed to get our washing done and dried in the time we were in Kyoto. The location was near the station so not in the centre of everything but easily within walking/cycling/bus or train distance to the main events. We hired bikes one day from a local shop and cycled to the bamboo grove and golden pavilion.

Nothing. We couldn't fault it.

Well located (10min walk from Kyoto station & a big mall where a supermarket can be found). Confortable beds. Friendly staff: they speak English very well & they helped me to fill in the form to send my luggage with Family Mart (the konbini is less than 1 min away from the hotel)

The washing machine is not really convenient when one has jumpers to wash (small capacity + few hanging space in the room to dry the clothes), but it is perfectly fine if you have to clean t-shirts and underwear. The washing machines of the neighbouring rooms can be heard a bit.

Location is very convenient, 1 min to Family Mart convenience store and 8 min to Kyoto station. Bit it's surrounding is very quiet and almost hidden. That's why I liked it the most. Easily fit our family of 4. Room was small but that's expected in Japanese standard.

The water system in the wash basin was confusing. There was a button says Don't Touch in English but regardless of it was on or off, I wasn't able to getbhot water. Had to go to either to the shower or kitchen sink during shaving.

Washing machine in room, able to hang dry,. Took 24 hours to dry the clothes Close to many affordable local family restaurants. Had access to fridge and stove top, didn't use.but good to know they were there 10 to 15 minutes walk to Kyoto station Could open the balcony door and have fresh air in. Front.desk staff very friendly and English was very good. Liked the button door locks, no worries about losing key pass

Could not.go out on balcony No utensils or plates to use if had cooked food. Use of hangers for coats. Would-be good to have hooks on walls to.hang coats Room was fine for two. Would have been very tight for three

The room layout itself was quite comfortable for 3 adults. And the location was near public transport, shopping and restaurants. Staff was lovely and helpful!

Laundry machine did not work properly, so we had to walk to a nearby laundry shop to complete our washing and drying. Miscommunication between staff and myself. In one conversation I thought the hotel could assist us with luggage delivery service to our next hotel so I left it to the last day of our stay. When the day came, I found out the hotel did not offer this service so we had to complete luggage delivery service at a nearby convenience store which was inconvenient but the staff did kindly help fill out the forms.
