The location is very good. 15 min by foot from kyoto station. Close to several bus stations. 20 min by bus to gion. The staff was very nice and helpful. Family mart a couple of min away. The elevator was fast, big ( 2 ppl + 3 suitcases). They have free water refill at 1st floor. It just saved us. You can take an ambrella from the hotel in rainy days. U can charge your cellphone next to you at both sides of the bed

We were staying in a room for 4 people. The room is exactly the same as per photo provided on Booking page. The room was clean and spacious enough for 4 people with 4 large luggage. The bathroom also big with good ventilation system. Toilet amenities are provided. Staff very friendly and helpful. There's iron and iron board which you can request to borrow from the receptionist counter. Near to train station (Gojo Station - Exit 5). However if you are coming with large luggage, I would suggest to take Exit 6 at Gojo Station (additional few meters away from Exit 5), because there is an elevator from the platform to the ground level. Exit 5 only got stairs to access to the ground level which can be a hassle to bring up the luggage when you arrive. The nespresso coffee machine provided is a bonus point! I wish to stay here again if I'm coming to Kyoto in the future.

Hotel Bell is in an excellent location, very close to Kyoto train station and the popular tourist spots. The staff speak limited English, but enough to get by. The room is small, but this is common in Japan, though I did struggle with storing two large suitcases, they ended up under the bed and we had to slide them in and out to access them. The beds were lovely, though an additional pillow would be great. The rooms and hotel were spotlessly clean.

The TV does not have any mirroring capabilities, so we couldn't stream anything to it. Clothes washing facilities would be an additional touch. You can hear movement (footsteps, furniture moving etc) from the floor above.

The best hotel in our vacation. We booked Deluxe double room (only one in the hotel). Compared to standard room more expesive, but also very spacious (for Japan standards). Room was very cozy, clean, has window in the room (compared to standard room with window only in bathroom), big bathroom, separate beds with two sheets, daily trash pick up and very helpful staff who spoke english. Hotel is located in very quite and stylish area approx 10 min walk from Kyoto station, beautiful park, temple FamilyMarkt and very good restaurants nearby. As a cherry pick, there is manga library, free tea/coffee at the reception and fan shop across the street.

There is no breakfast, but local combini compemsated it. More expesive deluxe room (but extra space). For some tourist walk to station can be long

Id like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the gentleman at the reception. I'd forgotten my bag on the Shinkansen and didn’t have a phone line to make any calls. As soon as I arrived the hotel I explained the situation. He kindly listened to my story and then made several calls on my behalf to the relevant services. Thanks to his help, my bag was found and returned to me within two days. If it hadn’t been for his assistance, I would have lost some very important belongings, and my trip would have taken a much more unfortunate turn. I truly appreciate his kindness and support. thank you once again!

The staff are incredibly friendly, hard-working and very helpful! The hotel smells welcoming and nice, plus my room of 4 beds was exceptionally clean, loved the bathroom and my family even had space to unpack our luggages. I enjoyed the mini free coffee bar, tea options and liked how there was a microwave downstairs for anyone to freely use. Although the hotel lobby was small but cozy, my bedroom was surprisingly big and spacious :) I would certainly come back to this hotel next time I am in Kyoto -- they also assist you in sending your luggages to your next hotel in Japan!

Very helpful and kind staff! No issue was too big or small, they were always happy to help. The room was the perfect size for us (we put our two open suitcases under the bed) and it was everything we needed - minimal but not too minimal, with nice fittings. The shower was also amazing! At night the room was also so dark and quiet, with super comfy beds - I had a wonderful sleep every night. The location had lots of lovely cafes and cool boutique art/ craft stores around.

I felt there were minimal food choices in this specific area - although that is not the hotels fault - more just of note. We also found the room a tiny bit dusty when we first arrived.

Amazing hotel, one of our favourite stays of our whole trip. The staff running the hotel were so kind, helpful and friendly it really made the whole experience. There was a festival going on in Kyoto while we were there and they took time to print out information and recommendations for it and put them on everyone’s doors so we wouldn’t miss it. The hotel was also extremely calm, clean and had great amenities and free coffee! Location was easy to walk to the main train station or other transit

Like the city, the hotel was very safe and very clean. Great location (walkable from main station and some of the main attractions). Great shower and comfy bed. Really nice room. The staff were all great. We were able to fill our bottles with water which was handy.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this lovely hotel. I try if possible to go for hotels that provide breakfast but there was a kettle and fridge in our rooms and supermarkets nearby so this wasn’t an issue at all.

The staffs were really friendly and helpful. All of them welcomed, smiled and accommodated me very well - calling a cab for us, trying to talk in my native language, taking care me in heating food. The amenity was also good - free ice, comb and toothbrush are available. We got the room in first floor and we were so happy about it.

The location might not perfect much as i found the closest one, Gojo station, couldn't take me to anywhere. So i need to walk to kyoto station anyway.
