The room was nice and the place was close to the subway / train stop. The lounge area was nice and there was a dressing room for you to wash up and apply your skincare / makeup.

Something to note is that the place advertises itself as a Hostel on Google maps, which is a more appropriate naming. Our room didn't have a bathroom inside but honestly that was our fault for not realising earlier. The hot water in the shower was also quite erratic.

This is a 10/10 hostel. Every detail has been well thought out from the beautiful room, toilets, showers and wash room to the kitchen dining and communal area. I often like to imagine myself owning a hostel and enjoy thinking about what changes I would make or what ideas I would use in my hostel when visiting one. This hostel seems to have stolen all my ideas and has inspired a few more.

Although the self check in system is very simple (and I might do something similar if I were to run a hostel) we didn't see the staff very often. That isn't really a negative it was fine for us but sometimes people might need a little help and I often enjoy meeting the people running a hostel and getting recommendations.

Stayed in a 4-person room with my two kids of 5 and 8. They loved the bunk beds. The room was clean and the shared showers were spacious, comfortable and provided good privacy. There is a shared kitchen area that is well-equipped for cooking, a fridge and seating space for working or for socialising, with a couple of board games provided. Very comfortable hostel experience at a very reasonable price. The kids already asked me to go back there the next time we hit up Kyoto.

The floor in the laundry area was a little dirty in the morning. The hostel has a self-checkin system, which I’m not a big fan of, as I’ve had problems before when problems arose in other types of accommodation with no staff around. But the self-checkin system was very simple and well-organised, so everything went smoothly.

I loved how close it was to the station, literally just a short walk form Gojo station which is a 2min train ride from main Kyoto station. I love that its so peaceful and quiet, away from the crowds and tourist areas. The room we stayed at was so so spacious for a family of 4 and it was so comfortable. The beds were comfortable to sleep in and it was cozy.

If there was like a drinks section to purchase or vending machine, that would be nice

It was a perfect place to stay while sightseeing. We rented bikes for a day from just around the corner. We did drive on the second day however there was public transport available. The cooking equipment was in good condition, we did need to give it a good clean before using it though. The showers were exceptional! Clean and powerful.

Some of the cooking equipment had mold on so we didn`t use it, but others just needed a clean.

Location is roughly a 10 min walk to the nearest train stations but it was still easy to find. No lift for luggages so do take note and if you are in a group, there is not much space to open up your luggages all together but overall the room was clean and comfortable although the pillows were bit too small and soft. Toilets and showers are shared but were always clean. The lounge/pantry area was very spacious and could fit a lot of people. Enjoyed my stay overall. Check in process was simple and easy.

Omg everything! It was super clean and super comfortable. Our room was enough for 4 ppl with 4 luggages . Toilets and showers are separate from each other. Also, there is a room for you to use, getting ready , drying your hair ,doing makeup, etc. The best thing is there is the same room for men ! The lobby is super nice. u can cook your meals and eat there. There are lots of tips for travelers. . The location was good. It was 13 minutes away from Kyoto train station by walking.

For a hostel amazingly clean and more like a hotel with shampoo etc in shared bathrooms and towels provided. Kitchen also well stocked with crockery and cutlery and cooking utensils. Lovely all in all

Rooms and shared spaces were meticulous and clean. Staff was friendly.

Internet/wifi was weak and disconnected often. Laundry detergent was not provided, and the clothes drying machine was not powerful and failed to dry our clothes thoroughly.

I really enjoyed staying at the Kizuna hotel. The room was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. The showers were also clean and there was always one available. Bathrooms are separated between female and male, if this is a concern for anyone. I would recommend.
