A great house in an excellent location - 5 min walk to Go Jo station, 10 min walk to Kyoto station, 6 min walk to Shosei-en gardens. Great local restaurants, shops, convenience stores. A cute little house that worked really well for the 2 of us - really clean and comfortable, the split systems kept us warm during a really cold snap and the washing machine was a godsend. Thoroughly recommend staying here - I am hoping to be back in about 12 months!

The stairs to the bedroom level, are very steep - just be careful. They are shown in the photos, so no complaints, I just didn't expect them to be quite as steep as they are.

We loved the Zen feeling of the home, as well as the beautiful orange paper sliding doors. We also liked that we were in a quiet local neighborhood, but within 15 minutes of Kyoto station. We liked the comfortable living room setup, having a separate sleeping area, as well as the nice kitchen/dining area and the 2 drying racks in the laundry. Also, the free wifi, as well as Netflix, was much appreciated.

We didn't expect the steps upstairs to be quite so steep. They would be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. Next, the washing machine had absolutely NO instructions in English. Printed Instructions would have been helpful. The twin bedroom's windows rattled whenever the wind blew, which would be difficult for a light sleeper. Lastly, the alleyway leading to the home was unlit at night except for one light over the doorway.

Lovely traditional house in good location with comfortable beds. We had quite cold weather, so had to use the heating quite a bit. Be aware, the stairs are traditional and steep. Found an excellent izakaya on the left in the small street towards the city between the Fresco supermarket and the 100 Yen shop. First place on the left in the small block of six places.

Closed to Gojo station, calm and spacious. As in picture.

Would be nice if the bath area can be also drying clothes area, that we usually can find in holiday home/apartment in Japan. Or provide more hanger for drying.

The flat is more stylish than shown on photos. It has a great atmosphere. It's very quiet at night.

The stairs ( a ladder) would be tricky for people with mobility issues or with a weak bladder.

Great location in a residential area but close to train stations and eat streets. Well equipped little house.

It is at a quiet residential place, and only about 15 minutes walking distance from the city center for dining and shopping. The Host was very helpful and could deal with our inquiries promptly.

The inclined ladder connecting the first and second floors is suggested to be modified to improve its safety. The windows should also be upgraded to prevent from the cold wind blowing into the property. Furthermore, clothes hooks or rack is also suggested to be fixed in the room outside the bathing room.

Good size for a family of 4. Well equipped kitchen. Staff was quick to respond to requests during the stay. Comfortable beds. Enjoyed the tv with Netflix and others.

Steep stairs that we needed to get used to. The accommodation could be a little too cold in winter evenings as the air conditioning was not sufficient to keep warm. Had to request for additional heater. Would be good to provide larger mobile heater for winter. Also good to provide a hair dryer.
