The location was great. We could walk to many things and take public transportations as well as cabs. Once you learn the process for getting in, it's very seamless and convenient. No need for keys or reception.

The communication with hosts could have been better. We sent messages to the hosts with a few questions that were never answered.

Really liked the apartment type layout - laundry facilities were great and the kitchen was useful to have, Outside space to help dry the clothes was also good. Nice & quiet location - close to places to eat and supermarkets/convenience stores.

Would have been good to have a sofa or soft chairs, rather than sitting on the kitchen chairs all the time.

We loved the neighbourhood, "our" little street, the welcoming entrance & self-check-in-desk, the cozy modern feeling in the apartment. Very close to convenience-stores (one was open 24/7), restaurants, cafes and close to the Kyoto city center. Location was perfect between downtown Kyoto and Kyoto Station area. We really appreciated the bath/shower-room, it was very spacious and had a luxury feeling and interior and also the little walkin-closet in one of the bedrooms. There was an amenities shelf at the common space in the lobby where you could collect extra trash bags, toilet paper and other amenities during the stay, very convenient.

There were some minor but annoying things to remember to take care of in the future: Not as "sqeeky clean" as one could expect, there were some stains on the wall by the trashcans (and one trashcan didn´t work), the fryingpan was dirty, no dishcloth, the dishbrush was worn out spo we threw it out, very dusty blinds in the kitchen/livingroom-window and a number of broken lights which should be easy to either fix or replace. Also there was a very unpleasant smell in the corridor outside the apartment.

Lovely property in a good location. Lots of space which was great, good facilities with separate toilet, shower and sink. Washing machine with washing liquid also in the room with drying facilities (shower room). We loved the Japanese shower rooms which double up as clothes dryers too! Cooking facilities okay but limited accessories tbh. Great location - 20 mins walk from central station, (bus stop if required for centre just on the main road so 2 mins away). We walked every where though as many of the sites are very accessible. Nishiki market 10-12mins away on foot.

More cooking accessories - bigger bowls/plates required. The fridge was small and one (we had two) was really pretty useless.

Very clean apartment in a very central and quaint location. Easy walk to the Kawaramachi area in one direction. A 20 minute walk to Kyoto station in the other. There were four of us staying here and plenty of room for what we needed.

The main room in the apartment didn't have much natural light and the apartment did feel quite stuffy at times.

This was a good sized apartment for three of us, a short walk from Gojo station, set in a quiet neighbourhood. There's a 24 hr supermarket nearby which is really handy. We found the self check in straightforward. The apartment had everything we needed for our 6 night stay. We liked the bathroom. Having a washing machine was so useful in the hot weather and clothes dried quickly using the clothes dryer function in the bathroom. All in all, a very comfortable apartment to stay in.

We could have done with extra pillows. I don't know how recycling works in Japan, but there were bins for 'bottles' and 'burnables', but not for other plastic items. We ended up with a large collection of plastic bento boxes so put these in a separate bin bag, so I hope they were able to be recycled and didn't end up in landfill. Being in a more residential location, there weren't as many food options around. It was a bit too far to walk into town every night to eat as it was so hot/humid. Luckily, it's just a quick one stop on the metro to Kyoto station where there are loads of food options.

The property is located 5 min walk away from Gojo station. There's McDonald's and a Pizza shop in close proximity, also several Japanese-styled brunch places (even one that opens 24hr!) nearby. The neighboring Fresco convenience store provides affordable fruits, dairy products and bento sets etc. The studio apartment is spacious enough to house up to 4 adults, separated by slide door to ensure privacy. Facilities are new, and the in-house design is well balanced with traditional Japanese and modern style. The washer and drying system were superb! they even provide a steam iron and laundry detergent in the house. Overall very nice experience.

Would be better if there's more racks or drawers for keeping clothings. Understand the owner has tried his/her best to utilize space for the guests' convenience, the space above the big fridge (yes there are 1 half-sized fridge and a mini fridge) is not enough for the whole family to hang clothes.

Super location - really quiet, the apartment was great - although if you wanted to eat a meal, it would have to be on the coffee table. Rooms were very comfortable with dark curtains to block the light in the bedrooms. There is hanging space in the cupboards but no drawers. All in all, if you want an apartment for a family, it's ideal. There was a great coffee shop nearby that did lattes called Pine Book coffee bar. There was also a grocery & liquor store nearby. All three were on the main road near the subway.

It would have been really useful to have someone on the front desk. It's really difficult to get into nearby restaurants unless you have a reserveration but if you don't have a phone or speak Japenese, it's hard to make a reservation. Most of the nearby restaurants don't have online booking. I didn't really like the self book in system.

The location was great, the layout was good for a family of 4 and the drying function in the bathroom was very handy. The property was well appointed and had everything we needed

The check in process was very confusing for non-Japanese speakers and no advance information is provided about the check in process. There is no reception and we had to call twice (once to get the room entry and the next day to get the foyer code). The staff we spoke to on the phone were very helpful but it would have been much easier if email information could be provided ahead of time if there is no reception available.

Modern, spacious and attractive apartment close to transport, convenience and other stores, and a reasonably easy walk to Gion and main shopping area. The instructions to access the apartment were clear. Beds and pillows were comfortable and the automated bath was terrific once we figured out the temperature control. We appreciated having a washing machine and the owner provided instructions to use various feature (washing machine, hotplate, etc)

It was a good apartment. Minor issues - the blinds and light fittings were dusty, and the washing machine exterior door cover fell off.
