Excellent hotel. The biggest room of our stay with two balconies, a large bathroom and shower room, and authentic yet modern living area. Before booking this hotel, I was worried the location would be too ‘far out’ but it was perfect for us - less than 15 mins from Kyoto station, only 2 mins from Gojo metro, and just 20 minutes to walk into the Gion/Pontocho district for an evening out. Room was spotlessly clean and the location is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of Kyoto!

Staff were rarely in reception so you needed to ring a bell if you wanted anything. This was never a problem for us, but it feels more like staying in an apartment than a hotel (which we loved!).

Modern, spacious and very clean room in a very well located part of Kyoto. Just a few minutes walk from the metro and about 15 minutes walk to the main railway station and the more touristy areas of Kyoto like Shijo (if you don't want to use the metro to get around). There were lots of restaurants in the vicinity and a large supermarket and a 7-Eleven within 200m. A nice touch was the coffee machine in the lobby with free coffee. We found the staff very friendly and the room had a large sliding door which allowed views across Kyoto and also access to fresh air. Would I stay here again? Yes!

My room was so big and so clean! I was so surprised how much space i had, I could have had a tea party 🥳 Staff are incredibly friendly and really helpful. I arrived early, and I was able to leave my bag and go exploring , when I got back to the hotel my bag was already in my room 😊 Busses are right across the street, and the subway is one block over. I also got lucky and had a great view of the tower 🥰 Ladies, there's a good hair dryer in the rooms, so no need to bring one with you. Also, the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash smells amazing! I'd definitely stay here again 😊

Can be a little difficult to find at first, but that's more me 😅 I was happy with everything, for the stay I needed as a solo traveller who would be exploring all day it was perfect for me.

Overall this place is a nice hotel to come back to after a long day. I don't know how long its been around, but it felt very clean and new. The staff were really nice and helpful, and even gave me a little gift when I left. The room was spacious, clean, and just generally felt new. The bathroom was clean and had tons of room as well. They were nice enough to even upgrade my room which was a pleasant surprise.

Honestly there wasn't really anything I didn't like. The only things I could think of is that the beds are a little firm and the room window is frosted so you cant really see outside. Maybe its the soft westerner in me expecting to sink into a cloud. But honestly the beds were just fine, just a little firmer than what I was expecting. Then I was out exploring Kyoto most of the day so not being able to look out my window wasn't really an issue either.

The hotel is very well positioned within Kyoto, where you can easily walk to a variety of places (and the subway is very close, a great plus). The rooms are spacious and well furnished, allowing you to enjoy your stay in comfort, and to recharge to enjoy Kyoto the best way possible.

Sometimes the WiFi wasn't at its best, but it didn't happened too many times to make it a point of concern. The TV in my room came logged in with a previous guest' Google account, which made it impossible to use its smart TV functions without attempting to log back in to this account.

I would stay here again. It deserves the exceptional rating. - very close to gojo station. - very close to an excellent mom and pop restaurant right around the corner in the alley to the right (Warakumiishimaru). I ate there every night to avoid the Kyoto crowds and the food was excellent. - laundry facilities on site - modern, big and clean rooms. - large bed - good or excellent lighting. - designer sink - coffee machine in lobby - nice roomy desk - AC with remote control

- as a Westerner, I found the shower bath arrangement very awkward for me and uncomfortable. Although it is clean and modern.

This hotel easily gave me the best experience in Kyoto, coming from a first-timer here. Good location, clean rooms, great facilities, friendly staff. The hotel felt very new (think it just reopened in 2023), and is located not far away from Gojo station, and there's even a 7-Eleven store nearby. The staff was very welcoming & proactive, and even gave us some souvenirs at the end of our stay. The room we stayed at was tatami-inspired and had a "MUJI-style" feel to it. It was also spacious & comfortable enough. For the washroom, the shower area & toilet seat were separated, which is great.

It was easy to get to the hotel from Kyoto station via subway as well as to central areas via subway or bus. The hotel is tucked into a smaller street, and very close to a 7-eleven. The 2 receptionists were incredibly friendly and helpful. Despite the limited English/Japanese, we were able to communicate effectively via Google translate. There were amenities available in the lobby as well as coffee and vending machine for beverages. The room was spacious and had tatami floors. I loved the shower and tub in the bathroom. The receptionist was able to help me book the airport bus from Kyoto station to Kansai airport the day before my flight, and I was able to leave my bags after checking out to pick-up later.

Wonderful japanese interior (as japanese as possible for a hotel). Amazing bathroom with the typical shower „on a small stool“ option next to a bath tub. Very comfy bed. Large room, really well made with nice light fixtures. O.K. you can tell I felt very comfortable there :) Friendly staff, google translate used if needed. No breakfast included, but a coffee machine for free in the lobby. Good location next to a subway and buses but honestly you can walk everywhere. Many cafes etc nearby. 10‘ to the main station or via Subway. I actually extended my stay. So far my nicest hotel in Japan. Everything was as presented on the booking page.
