Beautiful hotel in Kyoto. Very close to the train station that can take you to all the major tourist areas or a 15-20 min walk. Amenities were great, everything was clean and the staff were very helpful!

There are so many things i liked about this hotel. Staff were friendly. But i mostly enjoyed the facilities. Really enjoyed the Canadian ginger ale at the mini snack bar. The onsen was the main reason for booking this hotel so needless to say - i enjoyed it every night. The ability to check on laundry progress from the tv inside the room is so smart and handy!

I don't expect my sheets to be changed everyday, i understand that being eco friendly is important. However, as a 4 star hotel, it would have been nice for the bed sheets to at least be straightened out every morning. This would not burden the environment, but still give that fresh feeling when you come back to your hotel room in the evening. This is absolutely not a big deal but just thought it was something that could be improved on.

The room was amazing! I still miss that bed. It's a beautiful hotel, a beautiful room and I really liked the location. 15min walk or 1 stop away from the main station. It's also a 10/15 min walk to the crowded centre. The guest lounge was great with free snacks. There is also a supermarket a few steps next to the hotel

Breakfast was fine, you get a fixed meal aside from the buffet. Unfortunately those were things I do not eat. It's oke for breakfast in my opinion. However what really shocked me is that you need to pay for a latte or cappuccino at breakfast. You can get black Coffee. That is something I never have experienced in the many hotels I went to. That was strange in my opinion. We got a cafe latte after breakfast at the guest lounge, there it is for free.

Was nice that we could get 3 separate beds and they all were next to each other instead of facing each other (which is weird). The public bath was amazing with amenities to shave and products to use for hygiene. Staff was always helpful and welcoming.

The one size fits all clothing did not fit some of us, also the door to our bathroom kept auto locking and one time it locked on itself when no one was in there so we had to call someone to come up. While the room was nice, would have been nice to have a little more walking space in front of the beds. Biggest downside was the laundry. Only 5 machines for such a large hotel, and while we tried to do smaller loads, even after 2 extra dry cycles, they were still pretty wet. So we had to iron and hair dry our clothes in order to dry them, and it took a few hours after waiting a few hours to wash and "dry" in the machines. There was a huge line to use the machines too, so doing more than 2 dry cycles seemed rude.

I paid a bit extra for a bigger room & it was great. The mattress was super comfortable. The staff were lovely too. In a good location, about a 3 minute walk to Gojo train station & 15 min walk to main shopping road. The entrance going into the hotel is so beautiful. They have a guest lounge in the basement which was great, free coke, ginger ale, sparkling water, coffee, tea & ice cream. They also have some washing machines that I didn’t use.

The only negative was that my room was on the 1st floor opposite a fire station. Every so often the trucks with their sirens on would leave to respond to a fire call. We go to bed late so thankfully when it would happen at around 11pm/midnight we were still awake. Occasionally it did wake us during the night but with ear plugs it was manageable.

Rarely put reviews, but The Blossom Kyoto warrants an exception. Top-modern zen-style hotel in a central location. Extremely well appointed, sound isolated and spacious rooms with very comfortable bedding, very nice shower and a separate toilet (“moderate king”). If you’ve breakfast (from 06:00 to 11:00) included or if you take paid breakfast (~ €20 pp), you’ll receive vouchers for a light meal (yummy choices) between 11:00 and 14:00. The breakfast itself is plentiful with a main dish of your choice, complemented with a widely varied buffet, with both typical Japanese and western style dishes. A further bonus are free drinks (coffee, tea, sparkling water, cola, ginger ale and juices) during most of the day and evening. Ice-cubes, microwave with bowls and cutlery and washing/drying machines (the latter paid but at reasonable tariffs) are available 24/7. Last but not least: super attentive and friendly staff. Ahh, not to forget that two steps away there’s a Fresco 24/7 and a 7/11.

The room is very big and quiet, the position of the hotel is perfect: the subway is close and we went by walk to Gion. Close to the hotel there are restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel also gives the possibility to ship suitcases to your next destination. My husband and I were in Kyoto for our honeymoon and the hotel surprises us with origami and a sweet message, we really appreciate it!

The room is a little bit humid but there is a dehumidifier that you can turn on whenever you want.

When you first step into the entryway, you feel calm and relaxed because of the beautiful long hall with plants, mist, and a special scent leading up to the hotel itself. The staff was super welcoming and we even got to check in before 3 pm. While we waited we got to sit in the beautiful lobby and received welcome drinks (cold latte) and mini croissants. The room was beautiful, the bed super comfortable and they've really thought of everything. There were plugs in all the right places, it had an ironing board and clothing iron. There's also a coin laundry in the basement and the great thing is that you can see in your room if a washing machine is available (just turn on the TV and look at "congestion" and you see all the washing machines and how much longer they will wash). This is also helpful for the onsen, you can also see how crowded it is. There's a lounge area in the basement where you can get complimentary snacks (nuts, ice cream, Snickers,...) and drinks (non-alcoholic). The breakfast is a bit more on the expensive side but well worth it when you are hungry there's a choice of warm and cold dishes (miso soup, curry, rice, pancakes, salad,...). The staff was extremely nice and helpful also when we checked out they helped us with sending our luggage to the next hotel. The location of the hotel is great, there's a bus stop only a few meters away and the next train station (Gojo) is not even 5 minutes away and from there taking the Karasuma Line is just one station from Kyoto Station, which makes it super convenient travelling to and from with the Shinkansen. But also Nishiki market is just about a 15 min walk away. Overall it was such a great stay, we would definitely come again!!

It is hard to find something we didn't like. I wasn't too fond of the samue (pyjama), the fabric was a bit too rough for my liking and the bed for me was very fluffy and comfy for my husband the blanket was too thick for summer but it's really nitpicking, we would definitely come again!

Amazing Stay with Stunning Views and Exceptional Service! I first noticed this hotel two years ago and was impressed by how new and beautiful it looked from the outside. Finally, I got to experience it this year, thanks to my husband who booked it as a surprise—it truly exceeded my expectations! The lobby is elegant, welcoming, and has a pleasant fragrance. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and respectful. They offered us welcome drinks and delightful snacks while checking us in at the table, making the experience feel personal and special. The drinks were especially refreshing for the summer, and I loved that they served us in a way that didn’t require us to look up—they knelt respectfully while assisting us, so we could relax as the process felt personal and thoughtful. The room (I stayed on the 9th floor) was a sanctuary. It was spacious with a beautiful glass wall view overlooking the ancient city and the mountains—absolutely breathtaking. The onsen in the basement was a real highlight, fully equipped with amenities specifically for women. After spending time there, I felt completely refreshed, relaxed, and revitalized. The mini bar in the common area, stocked with high-quality matcha cookies, drinks, and ice creams, was a lovely treat that added to the feeling of indulgence and comfort. There are several good restaurants and a market right next to the hotel. The subway station exit is just a 3-minute walk away. The hotel is located on a main street, making it very convenient to catch a bus or taxi Practical touches like six washing and drying machines made staying here very convenient, so there’s never a long wait. Overall, this hotel combines beautiful design, incredible service, and thoughtful amenities—it left me feeling completely renewed and pampered. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Nothing. Everything is so perfect

Detail oriented hotel with excellent facilities and friendly staff. Guests are welcomed by small drinks during check in, which is super tasty. The onsen place is well cleaned and equipped with everything you need. Snack bar outside of the onsen always has things ready. I’ve to admit that the coffee machine does produce good quality coffee!!! Although it’s a bit outside of the busy area in Kyoto, it’s actually good to stay away from the hustle bustle area. The tram station is close to the hotel which is convenient enough. Also there is a supermarket next to hotel where you can actually buy some food.

Nothing.
