Beautiful hotel in Kyoto. Very close to the train station that can take you to all the major tourist areas or a 15-20 min walk. Amenities were great, everything was clean and the staff were very helpful!

Detail oriented hotel with excellent facilities and friendly staff. Guests are welcomed by small drinks during check in, which is super tasty. The onsen place is well cleaned and equipped with everything you need. Snack bar outside of the onsen always has things ready. I’ve to admit that the coffee machine does produce good quality coffee!!! Although it’s a bit outside of the busy area in Kyoto, it’s actually good to stay away from the hustle bustle area. The tram station is close to the hotel which is convenient enough. Also there is a supermarket next to hotel where you can actually buy some food.

A elegant kyoto-style place to stay ! The hotel was near the kyoto city subway station "Gojo" exit 1. However, if you carry the luggages to hotel, exit 6 with elevator is preferred.

The hotel is too new that the taxi driver could not find the hotel on his GPS. You can show the hotel location on Google Maps and he will understand it.

The location was excellent as was the basement offerings with the free snacks and drinks, the washers, and the onsen! The property was well appointed and exceptionally comfortable. The room was spacious. However, we did hear street noises and the emergency vehicles across the street sometimes at night. The staff was very helpful with dinner reservations and plans.

I checked out and paid before turning in the keys, as my daughter was packing and I was trying to save time. However, when we were leaving and giving the keys to the front, they had me wait and go through the check out process all over again even though I had explained that this was already completed and all I had to do was return the card keys. Would have enjoyed more personal attention and service as we had experienced at our last stay in Kanazawa before arriving to Kyoto.

The overall traditional vibe of this hotel was immacualte. This was one of the few hotels where we were able to stay in the same room with friends and it was very accommodating to that end. Our room had 4 separate beds and two bathrooms which was perfect! This was probably one of the largest rooms you could get in all of Japan and for a reasonable price. It was in a great location to get to other parts of Kyoto as well as a day trip to Osaka and they had a lounge with free snacks and drinks which was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the restaurants (while pricy) had pretty good food.

The only complain we had is that we were unable to use the onsen due to have tattoos and one of our travelers being trans. This is probably more due to Japanese culture than the hotel itself, but be aware if this is one of the reasons you're booking this hotel!

Tattoos aren’t aloud in bath, very outdated policy. Japanese people aren’t even staying at the hotel so who even cares

I requested massage but didn't realise this would be in my room..very nice lady who tried hard and it wast the most comfortable experience ive had ,I'd expected this hotel would have spa room for massage treatments..such is the overall standard of the hotel Id not have gone ahead if I'd realised it' would be in the room A spa treatments room would be a great addition to this great hotel

A newly opened hotel in the year 2022, the hotel has incorporated many Japanese designs and tastes throughout the space. I was impressed with the Zen feeling whenever I walked through the passage garden before entering the hotel lobby. We got a quadruple room, the room is spacious, and there is tatami space for relaxation. There are welcome drinks & snacks upon check-in. There is a snack corner in the basement, where guests can enjoy the free flow of drinks and snacks. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located quite far from the main shopping street. The room is not well ventilated. One of the hotel staff came to the room to help us adjust the air ventilation setting, but the air in the room is stale and stuffy.

This is a fantastic place to stay while in Kyoto. The property is absolutely beautiful. The location is close to many temples and within walking distance to the train station. It also has a restaurant on site with a good breakfast buffet.

The elevators must somehow be connected to their smoking room, because every time we got in the elevator there was a faint scent of cigarette smoke. The restaurant was good, but inconsistent on the price for my kids. Sometimes they charged less for them, and sometimes they were charged full adult price. The location is wonderful, but it is also directly across from a fire station. This was not a problem except for one night when the alarms and sirens went off at 3AM.
