The inside and out was beautiful. The rooms were functional and clean, the shared toilets and showers immaculate. The kitchen had a drip station you can use to make coffee, but also had everything else you might need. The cafe/common room was also styled really well, very inviting and with lots of info about the local area. A really nice place to come back to after a busy day

It wasn’t as central as we had thought. It was about 30 mins by car to the Fushimi Insari shrine, 25 mins from Sannenzaka. However there was a bus stop nearby and buses that ran regularly. We also hired bikes for 500 yen a day each so that meant getting around the immediate area was a bit quicker (15 min ride to Imperial Palace). There’s not much to fault with this place and their location they can’t change - but that’s the only thing I wish I’d considered a bit more. In saying that, it was quiet which was a bonus

Living here is like having a home in Kyoto Beautiful big kitchen, clean room, Kyoto streets outside the window Friendly staff The night before check-out, when I was packing my luggage, some of my belongings accidentally fell from the windowsill into the balcony. I tried several methods but couldn't get them out. It was already past 10pm. Because I had to leave early the next morning to catch a flight, I had to ask the staff for help. The staff member [He Xi] kindly tried every possible way. Finally, she jumped into the balcony and successfully helped me get my things out. She also insisted on not accepting my tip I love this building, the books here and the staff here. I have been back twice and will come back again. My home in Kyoto

Big bed, the biggest bed we had in our Japan stays. The bathroom was also very spacious. The apartment was clean and the area very quiet.

Not a very central location, can be hard to reach by public transport and even taxi. Public transport available is only bus for that area which is a quite inconvenient and long ride. The property is less a hotel room and more of a commune. They have also shared bathrooms and kitchen. We booked hört a stay with a private bathroom.

We were a group of 4 people and stayed in a family room. Good sized room and there were paid washing machines and tumble dryers on the floor. Communal toilets and showers were available to everyone which also helped. Breakfast was great and you could get a Japanese style breakfast which is quite hard to find (no where else I found offered it) and the western style is also nice.

So the location of this place isn't the best, we ended up getting a taxi most days but there is a train station a walkable distance

I recently stayed with my family, four adults and four kids. The staff was always friendly and attentive. The hotel was beautiful and so comfortable. It truly was a relaxing stay. Staff was always available to answer questions and provide information about local restaurants, activities etc. The hotel and stay was exceptional but the care and attention is what made the stay even better. During breakfast the first two days my daughter left the crust on her toast. On the third day without being asked to the chef brought her breakfast with crustless toast. Might seem like a small detail but it was the personalized care that stood out. The cafe is beautiful and the food was amazing. I can't say enough about Kefu stay and lounge. My family loved it.

Really nice place with great facilities, great shared kitchen with free drip coffee, laundry, helpful staff and a restaurant downstairs. Bike hire although we didn’t use that. Not far to walk to the golden temple and a fantastic onsen (Funaoka). Good space in the room to move around, peaceful and quiet.

Beds weren’t so comfortable as is common in Japan. Location takes a while to get to most of Kyoto although buses are frequent and easy to catch.

I only stayed here for 2 nights, but I can say that I felt welcome. The atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant, warm... I had a room for 4 people, in which I benefited from a very well-optimized space. You can choose between Japanese and Western breakfast. And the neighborhood where it is located is a pleasant area. It's a shame that not everyone in the group knew how to ride a bike and we couldn't benefit from the hotel's bikes...

The breakfasts were really good. The option to wash your clothes is a big plus. The staff were very nice . The only 2 things that were a little bit annoying is the small size of the room ( it’s pretty tide for family of 4 ) and the location of the lounge ( it’s about 20 minutes oh uber/taxi from Osaka station).the public buses is close by but it’s a long walk to the metro station.

The breakfast was nice, and everything was very clean. The shared kitchen, showers, and restrooms were all kept in excellent condition. I highly recommend this place for solo travelers. I was assigned a room with a window, so even though it was small, it didn’t feel stuffy at all. It’s also a great value for those planning a longer stay.

none.

This hotel is a little gem in Kyoto. It is incredibly clean, with fantastic facilities , kitchen area with free tea & fresh coffee + aweome cafe on ground floor. Beautiful communal areas on ground floor, laundry, bikes available to rent. And the rooms were lovely, simple & felt spacious enough.

Not much I didn't like.
