I booked a one person bedroom, and the size is okay. Not too small, not too big, which is good for a few days. The bathroom is quite big which useful 👌 The bathroom and bed were clean, no weird smell on the bedsheets 👌 There’s a small balcony, AC and a mini fridge. It is located near Sanjo station, 16min walkay. There are bus stations, a bio store, family mart and a café. It’s well located, I didn’t have big issues during my stay. It’s a self Checkin and checkout hotel, it works like airbnbs. Room cards are retrieved through locked boxes and cards just need to be put in a box for checkout. The only downside of this hotel is the lack of presence of the staff at the entrance, but they can be reached via booking chatroom, whatsapp or phone. I think their absence justifies the price of the hotel rooms 😅 So overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel but if you have many luggage, it’s better to take a bus or taxi to arrive to the hotel because it’s quite a walk from the subway station 😅

After arriving, it was a bit complicated to unlock the door of the hotel room which was stressful. I contacted the staff through Booking and they called right away to help which is very helpful :) The system is very secure but a bit tricky at first!

Location was just outside of the city center. But it was OK since bus transportation was good. The river was closeby, local restaurants were nearby, Fresco was just next door to buy food and stuff.

Staff was not visible. Entering the hotel was a challenge since the main door was locked, my phone for international call did not work. Eventually, WhatsApp was the way to communicate with the staff/manager. This was not found by me at the front gate. I asked a local people to help me to successfully make the first contact with the manager. Then everything was OK.

Great place to stay! The room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was big as well and everything was super clean and working well. AC, wifi and free cleaning every 3 days. We stayed there for almost a month and while it's always challenging to spend long periods of time in a hotel room, it was great and comfortable. Staff was super friendly and helped us retrieve our key one time we got locked out of our room by accident. Location is amazing, it was our favorite area in Kyoto... close to the river, supermarket, restaurants, etc. We also had bikes included (one for each of us) which was amazing because it was so much better to move around biking and we used it everyday. Really liked it and would stay here again when we come back. Highly recommended!

Great location, easy access to most of the temples and surrounded by many ranges of restaurants and quiet neighborhoods. 100 meters to the river, family mart and fresco are within 3 min walk. I booked the trip and hotel without planning and accidentally found out that the Aoi Matsuri happens the very next day and the hotel is located right at the Imperial corner. Fantastic. The bathroom is western style and big enough for one person. The Bedroom is also more special than the typical hotel. The room has a balcony.

They only got one key card each room and the card is also used to supply the room power, meaning you cannot leave digital devices behind to charge in the room. They don't clean the room every day, you need to ask the staff if you need it. Bicycles are free.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kyoto Earth Hotel. It was such a nice big room! And the bathroom and shower were also very spacious, very lush! The bed was firm and comfy. The room had a small balcony which was nice too. It's in a good location, walking distance to the busy parts of Kyoto and easy to catch buses to some of the main attractions. It's also close to the river which was nice. There are two coin laundry rooms, and wifi. Great value for money, we would stay again.

Nothing to complain about.

The room was so spacious, especially for Japan! We even had a sofa and a little balcony. The beds were comfortable with two pillows per bed. And the bathroom is amazing. It was very clean and the shower is amazing! Hot water and high pressure helps every aching back after a long day of sight seeing. The price was great, too. The location is great, close to the Imperial Palace. Conbini and even an organic food shop next door. I would definitely stay here again!

· When I arrived, the staff had opened the air conditioner in my room a few hours ago. It was in July and really hot. So that helps. The room was clean and equipped with everything a traveller wants. The location is near fresco supermarket and the Kamogawa river, not far from the Teramachi street and city center.

There is no staff in the front usually. Their work time is short. So if there is any questions, you should wait. But they are friendly if they are there.

The room is fairly large in this price. Facilities are good.

This is a "modern" hotel. I have not seen any personnel during my stay. I had difficulty to find out how to enter the hotel (they sent me an email explaining the kew box beside the door, etc.) . But I did not notice it because their website (at Booking.com) tells us that there are staff for check-in by 20:00. The room is clean but the sofa in the room is old and dirry. I hesitated to use it.

Good location but quiet. Good sized room. Lovely bathroom. Even had a small balcony though too small to sit out there. Coin op washing machine and drier allowed me to catch up on laundry on site. Very helpful staff although only there in the daytime.

It had pretty much everything I needed although it would have been nice to have a reading light by the bed. The room was very dark, the grey walls were ok but the ceiling was very dark.

i like the location is on central, near kyoto castle and river. its also provided bike to use for free. the staff is very fast response and also helpful.

the staff said the bike cant use at 29-30 December (where we need it the most), but in fact the bike was unoccupied that day. we were little bit disappointed with that. but overall the staff was so helpful.
