It's a really nice, medium scale hotel near central Kyoto. Comfortable beds, very accommodating especially when I asked for additional cushions. They provide pyjamas, slippers, laundry facilities (at own cost), toiletries inc. toothbrushes/toothpaste, razors, tea. The staff are also very nice and helpful. The location is great, 15 mins walk from Nishiki market and 30 mins from Yasaka shrine. Excellent bus connections and no more than a 7 minute walk to the nearest metro. The area is nice and quiet too.

It's not an issue with just this hotel but lots of hotels around Japan. Sometimes, when one relieves their bowels, there is no way of "hiding the evidence" (cleaning the toilet bowl). It's not only unpleasant for us because it's unhygienic, it's also unpleasant for housekeeping and really not something they signed up for. Please consider installing brushes in the bathrooms to spare your staff from having to clean those stains.

Really inexpensive and had everything we needed! The rooms were a good size and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The location wasn't the best as going to Kyoto Station wasn't easy. The closest Shiyakusho-Mae Station was a 7 minute walk away but there wasn't a direct line to Kyoto Station, so we had to transfer trains. If we didn't want to transfer, we needed to walk around 15 minutes to Karasumaru-Oike Station.

I liked everything. I was thrilled that a vegetarian breakfast salad (instead of the regular one with chicken) was provided instead of us having to take the chicken salad.. The hotel is beautifully peaceful and quiet. It was great to have laundromat The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, each and every one of them. I would like to pass on my sincerest thanks to them all.

The only thing I missed was more space to put clothing, perhaps some shelves. Also I noted the stairwell smelt of smoke (which I think came from the smoke room. But they weren't too bad. Overall everything was great.

Very easy to locate and in a convenient area. Many convenient stores and even a bakery just around the corner. The room is smaller but that is to be expected. It was still cozy and had everything we needed, although we were always gone during the day and just came back at night to rest. Staff spoke English and were very helpful. I was unfortunately sick during the trip and the staff member helped my boyfriend call around for hospital/clinics. They were also able to keep our luggages after check-out as well. Overall highly recommend!

the staff is super sweet and they are very helpful. location is calm and next to a 7/11 which helps a lot, very central and close walking distance to major tourist points. the hotel provides you everything including tooth brushes

i think the breakfast offerings are a bit lacking (eg no fruit) but its still good value for cash

Great location, nice little hotel that had nice Japanese style decor in the lobby and halls, but not really in the rooms. The staff was very friendly.

The AC was only on warm air (they change to cooling when it gets ”hot”, but it was already 25*C outside) so the room was too hot to sleep in comfortably. The bed was ok but pillows not so good. The room was very basic. Breakfast was small and very basic. Price was too high compared to the standard of the hotel.

Our best stay in Japan! Stylish minimalistic hotel located in a very nice calm area but not far away from most of Kyoto attractions, on foot or by bus. The breakfast is quite cheap and very simple, but if you add something from seven eleven (1 min walk) it will be rich enough. Cleaning every 2 or 3 days, new towels every day, big and comfortable bed and nice pyjamas. Perfect and very Japanese experience!

Great location, great value, super clean, it was easy to just be there. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. It was a bonus that light breakfast was included. There are some fantastic little restaurants in the surrounding neighborhood.

We never could determine if there was AC in our room, and if there was, we could never get it working. We had a short stay, though, or else we would have asked for assistance.

New hotel, very clean, most importantly non robotic staff. Particularly that lady who store my bags on my arrival at 13:00 was such a character and very happy! Her description for getting breakfast in sign language was really cute and sweet! Room was very spacious and the staff accommodated my request for a quiet room at the top floor. Location of the hotel was very quiet as well as other guests. No obnoxious and annoying tourists on this one as it is a bit out of the more central shopping market.

Although location was good, to get to the subway it is a solid 10 minute walk and around 20 minute walk to the market but around it there are several cool cafes with no tourist noobs. At least, the street is flat so you do not get tired. Breakfast could have been a bit better but I only used it once. A bit pricier than other hotels but that did not bother me much. On the side note, the room has a few buttons switches that at night becoming quite a light source (TV, smoke detectors, fridge, etc) so it was slightly difficult to sleep for me who prefer total darkness.

Hotel was worth every penny, not an expensive hotel with a very clean room, crazy fast wifi. The room even comes with air exchange system, air purifier with build-in humidifier. Rooms were very quiet as well.

Very walkable from the station, but the nearby street did not have much food options, while there's a convenience store nearby, there weren't much restaurant nearby and the ones opened mostly required reservations in advance. Need to eat somewhere else before returning to the hotel
