At first I thought it was a bit pricey, but it was so worth it. It feels like a hotel with a soul—everything was so thoughtful, and the staff made me feel so welcome. This was especially important as I traveled alone. Also loved their simple breakfast downstairs, I was there everyday even though I didn't book the breakfast plan. I wish more hotels were like this!

I forgot to book a seat at the cafe and ended up waiting for quite a while. The cafe is definitely worth it, but morning queues can get long. I highly recommend reserving a seat in advance.

Clean and cosy, it has been in my pocket list for a while, amazing deco with a warm home-like vibe, decent size bath is just a perfect way to ease the stress and recharge your body, location is also perfect for tourists like us, who’d like a piece of quietness but also easy reaching to all the tourist spots. By the way, we accidentally left our AirPods and credit cards after checking out, they immediately informed us and keep and packed nicely for us, super responsive and thoughtful. POJ store is also a must visit place, located just downstairs. Their collection is something that you would definitely be proud to have in your house. Lanterns for example. After all, Very nice stay, just like stay in an art gallery for a wonderful night. Will definitely recommend to friends and all traveler who is planning a visit to Kyoto. It’s definitely worth the money.

The only thing missing were robes and replacement of coffee each morning. The robes/kimonos would have made a big difference to comfort levels

An absolute gem in Kyoto. We stayed in Suite 1 and the suite itself was stunning, blending minimalist design with traditional touches. The location was ideal for exploring nearby temples, but also a little away from the crowd and fee like we are in the local neighbourhood. Don’t miss the cafe breakfast—it’s an essential part of the experience!

The staff was so warm and friendly— everyday I truly felt like coming home. This is such a special experience; not only are the design details of the homes stunning and thoughtful, but the breakfast at the cafe and the craft store next door were the highlights of my trip. Can't wait to try the other houses next time!

Everything in the room is beautifully curated. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I couldn't wait to go home and take a bath and the end of the day. Also the shop downstairs is really cute.

Nice room, well decorated. Relaxing atmosphere. Sherry was very nice and flexible for the storage of our luggage. Their coffee place next door was also really nice.

This place is so special, LOVED the design and Japanese crafts showcased around the house. A beautiful balance of modern and traditional. Amenities and services were also very thoughtful and high quality. It's really nice to come home everyday to this peaceful neighborhood, I especially appreciate the friendly staff at the cafe and crafts store at the property.

Suite 1 is easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed in. The design and renovation was impressive, and bed is so comfy. Highly recommended!
