The breakfast buffet was a good mix of Japanese & Western items to suit all palettes. The staff were friendly & cheerful, especially the dive staff (Gin & Sally). They spoke limited English but we managed to communicate and they were both helpful and knowledgeable.

The futons are way too thin for the tatami rooms and two need to be used. I have slept on tatami mats before and this is the first time it has been uncomfortable. The first two nights I slept with a towel to cushion my tailbone and to try not to move during the night.

All rooms are private at this pension. A stunning beach with an uninhabited Island is within a few minutes walking distance, excellent store close by, staff are friendly, free shuttle service that runs to the port, and back, just look for the blue see friend bus and get on it, it is always there after the ferry arrives the pension is old and charming, fridge and electric kettle are provided, kayak and gear hire are there, the pension is the only place on the island where I found I could hire a kayak as a solo traveler, the rest seemed to be tour only. Maybe there are other places as well. Overall a friendly pension on a friendly island

Staff was incredible. Free shuttle to and from each ferry arrival/departure that we also used to get back from the port after dropping off rental bikes. Dive facilities attached means easy places to shower and change after a day at the beach before or after checkin/checkout

The rooms (at least on high season) are expensive for what you get which is very basic. But while basic, they had everything you need with a fridge and great AC

I missed the pick up bus, but the've been so kind to come back for me. Room and bathroom not so nice like on the photos on Booking (old, dirty walls&bathtub, a bit), but got everytning what's needed, complimentary green tea🙂, clean, close to the beach, English speaking staff. Washing mashines.

One member of the staff made me uncomfortable, not a nice person. Thin walls. Bed was not comfortable I, could feel strings in the mattress.

Location was great! You have everything you need right next to the hotel (Aharen Beach, hotel restaurant, snacks & drinks for sale at the reception). The breakfast buffet had lots of options (rice, fish, vegetables, cereal, bread, fruit). You can shower and wash your gear in the common shower area below the guesthouse, and there's a place to dry your stuff as well. There's a free pick-up and drop-off service to Tokashiki and Aharen ferry ports!

Restaurant staff living next room and other guests were very loud, so it's not a place to get a good rest. It's perfect to snorkel at the beach or take part in a diving tour, though. Showers are in a public area below the guesthouse and warm water stops at 10:30 pm.

Amazing stay at this hotel!! The staff was super friendly and spoke english. They were very nice and helped us several times, for example we had an issue and they took us to the center in a shuttle. Also shuttle from the ferry into the hotel was available. Super friendly and helpful at all times! The hotel was very close to the beach and it had a great breakfast. Also, a few steps away they had a restaurant, so you could buy dinner there at night. Super grateful for the people there that helped us during our stay. Definitely recommended.

This is my first time back to this hotel in almost 7 years, and it's still as beautiful as I remember. The scenery and the beach are still stunning, and the service and food at the hotel are still top-notch. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone want to visiting AHAREN Beach. The hotel have everything you need for a great vacation, including water activities, delicious food, with reasonable prices. The service is also amazing, and they really go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time.

Staff is very accommodating, front desk went put of the way to make sure we understood everything including shuttle times, especially since we were foreigners. Restaurant was amazing and fair priced. Very understanding, before we even asked they already told us we could store our luggage in front desk, since there was am awkward time between check out and the ferry departure. We are so grateful for welcoming us on their island.

The staff is amazingly nice, they are smily and always ready to answer any problem. We had an amazing time there. The small town where the hotel is has lots of small restaurants and bar with good ambiance.

The only problem would be that the sower/toilet are a bit far if you stay in the tents but overall everything is good

The facilities were super clean and had everything you need. Loved the shower. Also the food was incredible for dinner!! Some of the best meals we’ve had in Okinawa.

The bed was pretty uncomfortable. Could feel every spring. Otherwise though the room/accommodations were perfect and super clean.
