This hotel is in a great location. It's within walking distance to Niigata train station, or just a short walk to a bus stop that's only one stop away from the train station. The bus stop also provides access to other areas of the city. There are many restaurants and shops near the train station, making it very convenient. There's also a convenience store right in the hotel lobby.

The room is a bit small, but considering the price, it’s acceptable. The scent of the body wash and shampoo is fine individually, but when mixed together, they unexpectedly produce a fishy smell. It is recommended to use products with a matching fragrance.

A modern and clean hotel with lots of amenities (microwaves, ice machines, coin laundry, etc). Lawsons right in the main lobby. Rooms were well-stocked with slippers, robes, and personal care amenities. These were replenished/replaced daily. The 1-double bed room was a little small by Western standards but we were okay with it. The 2-double bed rooms were spacious and had room for an armchair and side table in addition to the desk/fridge area. Lots of space for our suitcases too. Very comfy beds. The onsen was gorgeous and large, with lots of capacity for guests, and they also indicate on the room tv's the level of "crowding" in the onsen, so you can wait for a quieter time if you wish. Japanese buffet breakfast was included with our stay. This was our first experience with Japanese breakfast items and we found the variety of breakfast items to be exceptional, tasty, and fresh. Niigata rice was made right there and it is the best! I also loved the location of this hotel, being able to walk to the shopping area and a few local sights (miso brewery, sake brewery).

It's a big hotel and elevators were sometimes crowded.

The staff were friendly and attentive. The facilities were excellent. The location was quite good. The reason for the 10/10 is because my pregnant partner was having severe morning sickness, and the staff called multiple medical clinics to find one that could assist us immediately. And then arranged for a taxi to a hospital that spoke English. Offered to wheel her out in a wheelchair, and gave directions and instructions to the taxi driver. A level of care I would never have expected! On an unrelated note, the hospital care in Japan was very impressive. I thought Australia was a world leader, but I was embarrassed by how fast and efficient they were compared to at home.

Positively surprised by the overall package. My first booking in an APA Hotel during my third 3 weeks visit in Japan since 2019... Very professional staff, clean and well-equipped rooms. Nothing too fancy but no bad surprises, even the breakfast experience was really good with a classical Japan set to begin with (fish at 7am will make you stronger ^^). Special mention to in-room litterature and the possibility to find Seiji Fuji's essays there (even to buy them).

Nothing in particular, just expect to find busy business representatives and quite a lot of Chinese tourists in APAs.

It was an amazing hotel close to Niigata station and there are buses just a few steps from Hotel Staff were amazing and kind Room was very big we stayed 7 days first time and then returned back to hotel after visiting Sado island but second time they gave us a tiny room and bathroom was dirty BUT they corrected it and gave us another room which was clean thank you

Great location, just a 5-10 min. walk from the train station, and close to lots of places to eat. Very good breakfast, and the breakfast is served until 2:00pm. Seven elevators, so you don't have to wait long. Very nice public bath, including a rotemburo.

The breakfast space is poorly designed, with very narrow passages and lots of bottlenecks, which is not good when it's crowded. There is no counter seating available, so if you eat by yourself you have to take up a whole table.

The hotel is located right next to many bus stops and about 5 minutes from Niigata station. There is a smaller APA Hotel closer to Niigata Station but I‘m very happy I chose this one. The hotel itself is very modern and the (double) rooms are pretty large. There is public bath on the second floor which was at around half capacity the two times I went. There‘s also a pool but it costs extra to reserve it. The staff is very nice and does their best trying to understand English-speaking customers.

You can‘t use the pool without reservation, which wasn‘t mentioned anywhere on booking. It‘s also very expensive, so I didn‘t use it at all. The breakfast has close to no vegetarian options, it‘s almost exclusively fish and meat. Also the food (including scrambled eggs) is cold.

The onsen was amazing and bed and room was comfortable. The staff were friendly and it had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was traditional Japanese and was very tasty. Next time we stay in Niigata we will stay here as it has great amenities and the staff are friendly.

Not the hotel's fault, in normal weather the walk from the station was pleasant, however we were there during one of the worst snow storms in years and we couldn't get a taxi to the station.

Room was a bit on the small side but it had a nice comfortable bed. An outlet supporting EU plugs and a couple Japanese plugs. Everyday the towels and Yukata were renewed and we also got some new instant coffee and tea.

I was a bit limited in space to be able to open my suitcase and pack it again. There was enough space but it took over the whole floor. The exercise area could use some weights and maybe a couple extra machines as it was quite empty.

My first stay at an APA group hotel. I am very impressed with the service and facilities provided at a very affordable price. The hotel is new and clean. There is a very spacious public bath(on the second floor or fourth floor, I am not sure) that is open till midnight. There is also a decent gym(not for powerlifters) next to the spa. The breakfast spread was quite good and the best part is that you can have breakfast even after checking out. The breakfast coupon is valid at the restaurant till 1400 on the day of checkout. Isetan, a luxury department store, and other shopping malls are within 5 to 10 minutes of walking distance from the hotel. Guests also get a free Japanese beef curry(heat-and-eat curry packet) during check-in.

The room was small but not a problem for solo travelers. Check your room size during booking if you are traveling with your family.
