The room design was beautiful and modern. Keep in mind it’s Japanese lodging so simple, highly functional and practical. Loved the bathroom with large tub by the window. Location was about 15-20minutes to Nago, aquarium and other attractions. 10minutes walk to Gorilla Chop and across the street from a lawsons. Parking was ample and it was located next to a dive shop which was nice. Water hose was available to wash sand off in the parking lot which was nice and free laundry (with paid dryers).

It doesn’t offer daily cleaning which we don’t need but an every other day clean would have been nice. It had some odd rules but we managed. Office was only open from 3-7 which was also a bit limiting.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Inside the room there was a large picture window with a view of the harborband Sesoko Island. Staff tried to accommodate requests. The Okinawa Beer Garden restaurant next door was a pleasant bonus. Lawsons is across the street. Sesoko Island is a 3 minute drive away and the aquarium was about a 15 minute drive.

Marea "Resort" is not a "resort" by any stretch of the imagination. It's a motel and initially presented itself poorly. The room was stale and had a terrible odor. Note the staff is only on the property from 9am-5pm and there was "no cleaning service during your stay."

Lawson across the road was perfect. The room itself was very nice. Lovely bath and I loved the tatami area near the window looking out over the water. Nothing flashy otherwise, but great value for money.

In the middle of nowhere - you don't want to stay here if you want to walk around the local area, as there isn't much to see here.

The location is fantastic. Lawson's on the opposite and the bus stops in just a small walking distance behind it. A few minutes walk to the beautiful beach (Gorilla Chop), less than 30 minutes walk to Sesoko bridge (which also has a great view) and Aeon supermarket. I could take the cheap and punctual Yanbaru Express bus from the nearby Motobu Port to Churaumi Aquarium within 30 minutes. And I really loved the big glass windows that let me watch Okinawa's beautiful sea and sky. The room also had good facilities and amenities. Very comfortable during my stay.

As a foreigner who don't understand much Japanese, I found it difficult to use the heater/air conditioner and the tv in the room. It took me some time to figure out what some Japanese buttons mean. It would be very helpful to have some instructions or simple translations of some important buttons on the heater/air condition controller and how to use the tv, to load Netflix, videoprime, etc.

The port view is not exactly a beach ocean view but all the rooms have nice windows with a nice little tatami room. Not fancy but the bedroom and bathroom size is great. The bus stop and Lawson Kombini are in front. There is also a restaurant next door that serves Okinawan food. You can take a short taxi ride to Sesoko Island, to the Churaumi Aquarium, or walk to the Gorilla Chop.

There are no double-size beds available, only twin beds.

Very good value--provided good access to Churaumi Aquarium and the Nago area (approx. 15-20 minutes drive in either direction). Though generally not particularly a "fancy" hotel; it was quite spacious (enjoyed the view sitting in the small tatami area) with a newer and large bathroom (enjoyed a nice soak in the full size tub). Clean and comfortable stay.

It’s pretty sparse on amenities. Didn’t think this would be the case since it’s called a “resort”. Very tiny lobby, you had to purchase any tea or coffee for the room, no restaurant on site.
