It was a non staffed reception, checking done by screen. My phone had not connected so I could not receive room number or code. Staff were really helpful and we ended up getting the room sorted without the emails. Although the hotel seem a bit far from Namba, it rally was not as you can walk in the air-conditioning under the train tracks. This took us a couple of days to figure this out.

The room was very clean except for under the beds. They need to be cleaned. They need more basic cutlery like plates and knives that would cater to westerners.

Cleanliness is above par. It has a homey feeling. Room is very spacious. We had a restful and comfortable sleeping area. location is near namba train station making the commute accessible. i also like how it is situated in a relaxed and less crowded neighborhood. keyless entry is a good idea because you dont have to worry about getting your room card lost/misplaced. amenities like towels, toothbrush and etc are well provided. lastly, it utilizes technology to ensure an adequate safety and security. we will surely and definitely consider it for our next osaka visit.

limited closet space

We like the automated experience. It was our first time in Osaka and we love just how close the hotel is to everything(train stations: Ebisucho and Namba, Denden town:Anime Street, Dotunburi is also 10 to 15mins walk away, Namba Park...etc) I also like to commend how comfortable the beds are and the bathroom is convenient to use since the toilet is separated from the main bath. You can just get what you need downstairs. the room is equipped with cooking/eating utensils, everything that you'll need for a staycation.plus the projector instead of tv. there're also convenient stores around the block that you can get your needs from. They're also accommodating in accepting our request for a late checkout(with a fee) because of flight conflicts. So thank you very much. 😊

Well we just had minor issues during our stay. We just had a hard time operating the heater/aircon since there's no manual, so it became really hot inside the room. also since its an automated experience, you cannot instantly request for anything you need that needs answer, you have to wait for a few minutes for your queries to be solved either thru email or messaging the property thru bookings app. Although there's not much to think of security, I cannot miss the fact that anybody can come and go into the hotel if they get the passcode to enter the main door. also, there are no restaurants in the area so you cannot just easily want something to eat. but the grocery and other convenient stores are nearby.

We had the family room and it was really comfortable and big! Great for a group of four. Big Shower room and separate toilet. We didn't use the kitchen, but the Beamer as tv was awesome. It's located inside Denden Town, so many anime stores are right next to it! Best: it was very quiet! There are no other rooms next to you and you don't hear what's happening over or under you. That's not typical for Japan, so a huge plus for this too. Stay there if you can.

There could be some chairs for the table in the eating area.

Great location. 10 minutes stroll from exit 5 at Namba station. The rooms were good, although all were twins The 2 bed apartment had a washing machine and good sized living space which made up for the small 2nd twin room.

Check in was a bit weird. Make sure you contact the property prior to check in as you need the code to get in the doors. Then a speaker asks you to check in using a QR code. This was fine, but then an employee arrived within 2 minutes of our arrival but then stood behind the desk while I continued chatting with the speaker (installed in a bird cage). 2 minutes later the owner of the voice in the speaker arrived to ensure we had checked in ok. The suit of Samurai armour in the window is a nice touch.

The hotel doesn't have any reception staff, but has a camera and video operated booth instead, which made it feel quite private. Nice location, slightly outside of the busy area, so was quiet in the evenings. There was self service for things such as towels, robes, slippers, shavers etc which was very convenient, so you could change them whenever you liked.

Check in and check out was a little bit confusing, as you are required to scan a QR code for check in, however there are a few QR codes in the desk area and it isn't quite clear which one you need to scan. The remote staff can see if you are struggling and will happily help you out through the process though.

Having a washing machine in the 2 bed room suite is great. The toilet and bathroom work well. Able to change towel when needed via self service is also convenient. The response by the staff via email is fast during stipulated time.

No cloth dryer rack to hang clothes after washing. Not enough chair to sit around the table for a family of four. Have to remember that there is no front reception staff. on check in, will someone on the counter screen like a zoom meeting to help the check in process..

Breakfast was located at their other location but it was only a 5 minute walk so not a problem at all. There was a good selection of food choices, Japanese and western style breakfasts. The location was great, centrally situated and easy access to the subway/metro lines and there was a lot to do and see within walking distance from the hotel. The washer in the room was nice as we were able to do our laundry. There are two bedrooms, a living room/tv room, kitchentte, and a table with chairs to eat at. It was quite large for Japan. There was sufficient space for a family of four without bashing into each other. I recommend this hotel and I definitely would stay here again with my family.

There wasn't anywhere to hang wet laundry. A retractable clothes line in the washroom or a foldable clothing rack in the room would be nice.

Very clean and spacious. Convenient to replace used towels and amenities. Easy to walk to station near by. Also very accessible to a near by grocery store and convenience stores.

The couch in the unit could be better, it was not comfortable and the cushions would fall out the back with no support. Our laundry wouldn’t dry and we would take our washed laundry to the laundromat, which luckily was very close walking distance.

We loved the spacious and clean rooms. It was in a quiet area in the neighborhood but was still very accessible. A supermarket was just a short walk away. It was easy for the Uber drivers to find the hotel too. The beds were super comfy to come home to after a long day of walking (wish they had more pillows provided though). Love the easy check-in and checkout process! You just really need to read their instructions before you arrive at the hotel since you need to input a passcode at the panel (rightside of the building in front of the vendo) so you can enter the building.

Hotel S-presso South is unmanned so maybe they can make it easier for guests to contact hotel staff immediately thru hotel room phone calls or provide a hotel reception phone that guests can access for any concerns/needs that are immediate. Would also be nice to have large bins somewhere in the lobby or outside for garbage so we can take out our trash daily and hope they had more pillows in the beds rather than just 1 pillow provided per bed.
