Three blocks away from Tobita Shinchi, the red light district. If that's your thing, the place is perfect (go south, one block past the Shinkai-suji Chuo Shopping Street 👌). Staff was extremely welcoming, gave us recommendations for buying food, and even invited us downtown to eat ramen. Staff is very diverse, which ensured a nice cultural exchange and even some familiarity with people from my own country. For a wooden bunk bed, it was really comfortable and didn't make noises whenever I moved. Very nice.

A small chair next to the entrance would be a good addition for people like me who struggle taking their shoes off while standing up. The bathroom window is permanently open. On cold nights, using the toilet feels like going outside. Also, I kinda wish the bidet would work. The electronic control seems to be broken, with one of the flush buttons being missing.

The vibe was amazing. The most social hostel I went to in Japan The lounge was built to create friends It felt so homely. Cosy, warm and welcoming. A home from home. The kitchen a great space, loved the shared area we played games and watched a film. It has all appliances needed. It has curtains!! Yay! A short walk from the mall, supermarket, local spas, the arcades and train. Lovely parks etc. Its a very local area. It felt very safe. Lockers also though I didn't use them. Staff were like friends

The beds went very comfortable and neither was the bedding. It could do with updating

Had a great 5 night stay here. Had everything, was in a great location, friendly staff, clean, toilet and shower never occupied. If someone wonders about some reviews about insects, the owners are taking good care of it with sprays. I also liked how wide the beds are. Price wise also absolutely worth it.

After 3 or 4 nights the bed got a bit hard in the place where I slept but that was really just a small thing. You could fix that in a minute. Nothing bad to write about.

Well located and priced. Friendly staff.

It is pretty run down, but if you are looking for a budget hostel, the price is hard to beat. Some of the other guests were a little crazy (in the smoke room, one older British man kept speaking into his phone, trying to get ChatGPT to generate an image of "an Asian man, on his knees, with a gun to his head, executioner style," which made me somewhat uncomfortable) But also some were very fun.

I love this place!! Its far more beautiful in reality than on the pictures, feels like a real experience of a Japanese house :))!!! I have no idea who gave them such bad reviews about cleanliness of the place, either I am too relaxed or they changed sth recently, but it was spotlessly clean and just such a comfy, cute and nice place to be. The lounge is nice, the kitchen homy and it's very warm everywhere in the building. The staff who welcomed me is such a sunshine, so kind and so funny!! They are very willing to spend time with you, give recommendations and tell you things about Japan :)! I am sad to not be able to stay longer, a very beautiful place, I would really recommend it!

Well, I think the neighbors are a bit sensitive because they would complain too easily about the noise. Maybe the next guest should organize a party for the neighbours to make friends.

Location is great, 5 min walk from the station and family Mart with a nearby net cafe and don qixote

The establishment was covered with signs which could be considered somewhat condescending to somebody above the age of 12. Such as: "Don't make loud noise at night" written everywhere Or: "Don't stand on top of the toilet" The existence of these signs probably means there have been incidents in the past so I cannot hate on them too much though

The most affordable hostel in osaka, the staff is very friendly. Although the location is in a narrow path, it is easy to find by following the googlemap. It is also close to the commercial district. This is a unique and ancient Japanese style building that is make me impressive.Although everything is old, it is very clean than I expected.

I liked people who welcomed me, they were really friendly and sympathetic and the price, definitely cheap. The hostel is located 3.2 km far from Dotonbori street, but if you like to stay in not too crowded places it is the best place to book.

The fact that you had to pass through the bathroom for having the laundry
