First of all the host was exceptional, Mayuko-san and Takahiro-san was super responsive and kind. The instruction to check-in and parking space was clear but still, Takahiro-san waited for our arrival, helped with our bags and made sure we got in smoothly. The house was really clean. The first house we stayed was already nice, furthermore we were kindly upgraded to their best room the next day, and the room transition was smooth. If you coming with family or with groups I highly recommended STAY MOIWAYAMA as their house amenities and equipment is complete : full size fridge, fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer in the big room, bidet toilet, huge bathtubs with hot water, smart tv with netflix, nice heater(danbo), towels (body,hands, face!) you named it! wayyyy better than staying in a cramped small hotel. I was really impressed that they even prepared 2 sets of kids utensils for my son and daughter, the details to attention was amazing. I want to note that the house has elevator, so it's perfect you're coming with an elder parents who has bad knees. Our group has my elder mom and this is such a life saver. The place come with free parking too which was really convenient as we took rental car fully for the trip considering we bring elderly and kids. The location was really great too. It is located in the suburb area of Sapporo near Mt Moiwa so it is quiet (be careful not to make too much noise to respect the neighbourhood). Very peaceful. Right across the street there's family mart, and super fresh and delicious sushi restaurant besides it. There's a dango place and small restaurant right in front of the house. I enjoyed morning run up to the mountain area and return. Just walk about 300m you'll get to tram station which gives you option for public transport. Overall this place way exceed our expectation, truly demonstrates Japanese hospitality.

Nothing, it was that great!

Nice, clean apartment. The futon were thick and comfy, and the dining area was a good size for us to hangout and relax. It's fairly close to tram and bus stops to get in to town, and there are conbini and restaurants within easy walking distance, so the location is handy. I forgot to check my emails for the door code before arrival so contacted the owner through the app when we arrived, and they responded immediately with the information and stayed in touch to ensure we got in without any issues. As the checkin is remote, there is an online process to upload our details and it was very easy. Also, there is a specialty dango shop on the ground floor in the same building and the dango and daifuku are incredibly delicious. I highly recommend treating yourself to some if you stay here.

We booked very last minute (on the day of & an hour from checking in) due to a sudden change in plans and the host was still able to accommodate us. Clear signage on free parking lot and building made it easy to find. Basic room with well-equipped kitchenette, bathroom and laundry. Linen and towels were included. A bonus surprise was two amazing food venues at the bottom of the building. One specialised in kamemeshi for lunch and dinner, and the other was a warabi mochi and dango speacilty store. Would recommend trying both. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this place was amazing value.

Very spacious apartment, was travelling alone but would have been fun to have a friend or more along for the stay to make use of the additional space. Also had one of the more comfortable beds I've had the chance to sleep in while visiting Japan. Host was very responsive, and there is a nice restaurant and mochi shop on the property to check out. Amazing location, on the border of the mountain and just a short walk to the Moiwa cable line for the summit, and there is a great grocery store nearby. If you want to get to the downtown area it is just a short ride on public transit. Would 100% definitely come back if I ever have the opportunity to visit again.

I only stayed two nights.

Our second stay is better with an elevator or lift for our luggage and it has a room with two beds. Maruko offered it after we all realiza that the other room was small for three guests! He even allowed us to stay beyond check out time because it was our last day. The facility has a Japanese Kamameshi restaurant on the ground floor and an artisanal dessert Cafe! Definitely, a value for money and great location for Sapporo visitor the Stay at Moiwayama!

Nothing as the place is great!

Our group of eight people had a nice memory staying in this homestay. The house was warm and cozy with nice heater in the living room, with three private bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen, making it easy to cook meals together. The heating worked well, and there was always plenty of hot water. It’s in a quiet area, so we could relax after a long day. The host provided a first aid kit and clear waste bins, which was really thoughtful. We also appreciated the private parking space, which made getting around by car become much easier.

Maruko, the owner is helpful from our arrival until our last day for our taxi ride to the Sapporo station. He responds to queries especially to first time visitors at Sapporo. Definitely we will be back and recommend Stay at Moiwayama to friends. Values for money accommodation in Sapporo!

Only the stairs to our 1st stay because we have luggages to the third floor. Other than that, the place is great and a walk to tram where locals would ride for a flat fare rate of 230 yen around Sapporo

This was one of the most spacious home we have stayed. So well equpped. We loved the common area which was a nice gathering space for us. Host was responsive and the place was easy to find and access. There is a nice mochi place right below the apartment.

I think it is a slightly a difficult walk from the Shiden station during the winter with luggages. But I think it is manageable if it is not because of the snow. It is a fair bit out of the main Sapporo town. TBF, I actually don't mind it. It was a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood.

The flat was really great. The kitchen had enough pans and pots to cook a little something. The location also I great as it is in walking distance to a coop supermarket and the city train.

For four people it was a bit cramped. The two-rooms are the open living room/kitchen and one separate room. The small room was a bit two tiny to comfortably fit three futons so two people slept in the living room, through which you have to walk to get to the bathroom, kitchen etc.

Everything and excellent host. Spacious for stays in Japan. Can comfortably fit 5 to 6 persons for 2 bedrooms. Walking distance to Tram station. At first we had a problem with the heater in the bedroom, but the host immediately attended to it, with nice fruits & beers (everhough we don't drink alcohol, but the thought is count) as complimentary. Really enjoy our 10 nights stay at the place. Miss it once we back home in Kuala lumpur.

Nothing really. But it was fun challenges to walk a bit to tram station in -6c with snow blowing on our faces. It's all fun for us from tropical country.
