I am impressed by the hospitality of the staffs. They are kind and helpful. My mother left a handbag and they contacted the travel agent right away to inform me. We got the handbag back very quickly. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location is very close to the beach and other restaurants in the area. The staff also informed us a local festival at the beach as well. I also enjoy the breakfast here. Quite unique from other places. We got dim sum and clam porridge. The side assortments like tofu skin and pickles are very well flavored. A kick of chili oil helps the dish exciting! Thank you for your great service!

The owner is very kind! She welcomed us with a map of attractions and suggestions of where to go. She uses an easy translator to help in your needed language. So very thoughtful! The hotel is very clean and quiet. We appreciated the family style room for our family of 5. The beaches of Shirahama are beautiful and worth the extra travel!

When using booking.com you may get confused on which room you are selecting. Details are important, do not depend on the photos alone as each room has a few differences.

Breakfasts were prepared and presented with such care and the quality was excellent. The fish rice porridge was particularly tasty. Each day of our the day stay there was something different and all were wonderful. The location is excellent, easy walk to the beach and many restaurants. The hotel has a few ebikes to rent and a bunch of beach items that you can use like shade tents and umbrellas and inflatable tubes.

After three days on the sleeping mats, my back was starting to hurt

This place has a 9.1 rating and most reviews seem too good to be true but trust me on this, this place is THAT good. And I would rate this hotel a 100 out of 10 if I can, the high rating is truly deserved. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The rooms are clean, spacious, and the futon is comfortable. The location is great, there are many food places nearby, the beach is just a few minutes walk away (you can even see it from your room depending on where you are placed), and the bus stop which will take you to the station or most places around Shirahama is very near.

There is none, I had a fantastic stay. Although I don't know if this is something on their side or Booking's but I don't like that you had to pay for your room on the spot, Booking just reserves the room for you but you have to pay it there via cash or card. It's not a big deal but I just prefer paying beforehand.

We stayed here before the Kumano Kodo walk as we booked the accommodation late and there was nothing in Tanabe. The express bus which runs the whole route actually starts a 5 minute walk away from here in the morning so it was really handy for that. The hotel was very nice - the lady looked after our luggage while we were on the trip and even upgraded our room for free when we got back to one of the big tatame rooms on the top floor (they’re lovely!) The owner is Chinese and it seemed to be a Chinese breakfast rather than the Japanese food we’d eaten elsewhere (which made for an interesting change). Shirahama itself probably isn’t somewhere I’d rush back to but the hotel was nice and for us this was a good option.

The warmth and hospitality of the manager, always very attentive to your needs, she made us feel at home in spite of the communication difficulties. She uses a pocket translator to communicate with foreign guests. The guesthouse is very modern , very comfortable and clean and is in a very convenient location close to many restaurants, cafes and just a dew minutes walk to the beach.. Breakfast was included in our rate and as we stayed 5 nights , we had a different breakfast everyday. it was very copious and served to you very quickly in their dining room. We also liked the decoration of the guesthouse , the shoji windows and our panda themed bedroom . Very appealing main entrance to the guesthouse, with rocks, plants and a small water feature.

There was nothing we disliked about the property , we actually decided to book again with the guesthouse in January.

A very nice family run Inn. The lady at the front was delightful to talk to. She was very caring for people who might be tired from travelling a long way, which reflects the selection of breakfast provisions. Good amount, nutritious, tasty and warm. We all loved the generous size of shower room although there was not a bathtub.

We should have stayed more than a night!

The hostess (who's also the owner) was a very nice and friendly person. Breakfast was complimentary and the hostess even made breakfast by herself to guests every morning and it was delicious! The room is equipped with tatami floor and was super clean. There was no bed but instead futon was provided and you need to set it up by yourself at night which was interesting. It was a special experience to get a chance to sleep in a Japanese futon. If you don't know how to set it up they will help you too. The bathroom is big and equipments were new. The hotel is within 5 minutes walk to the beach. It's also close to a bus stop which takes you to surrounding sightseeing places. There are convenient store and supermarket within walking distance and you can buy fireworks there to play at the beach at night. If we come back to Shirahama in the future we will choose to stay here again.

The hotel is really nice and beautifully decorated with lots of panda stuff toys. The room is large, and room facilities are new. The lady owner is also very friendly & gave lots of suggestions on places to dine. Breakfast was delicious and well worth the money. Hotel has easy access to beach and bus. It is just 5 mins walk from Shirahama Bus Centre.

The room is big and clean, it has both western style king size bed and Japanese style Tatami. The hotel is really new and super clean. Location is right across the street to beach. The owner was really really nice and helpful. We forget to check the bus schedule and was stuck at the Adventure world. When we messaged the owner, she helped us find a car to pick us up. She was also helpful to help us find the train schedule and transfer bus for the next day. Overall, we are super impressed by both the hotel itself and the owner. Will come back and for sure will recommend to my friends.
