Good location, close to train station and ferry pier. Good selection of shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms were small but comfortable.

There are two hotels in Takamatsu named Area One. We initially went to the wrong one. This information could be made clearer when booking.

Fantastically located across the road from Takamatsu Station. It's not quite the city centre but great access to the main JR station and the local station is also a short 5min walk was away Bed was plenty big and room had enough space. Check in was a bit quirky as it was in another building but not a big deal. Staff were super friendly and helpful as well.

Dated building and there is not a lot of natural light as the window opened up to a wall. Not a big deal but just be aware. Facilities was very self serve as welll but that was fine. Keys are also old school manual one rather than a key card but again not a huge deal. Bathroom was very tight so be aware.

This is a good location and very close to train station. Staffs are so friendly and can speak English very well. There is no problems with communications. If I have a chance to come back, this place will be my choice again!

Right across the street from the Station, the Castle, and the train to Rykurin Gardens.

Cleanness is not as good as Toyoko-inn. Some smell in the room at first approach. My sister got some allergy from bed or curtain or carpet.

Excellent location, close to train and bus stations and the ferry terminals. But very overpriced given hotel's age and level of maintenance. At check-in, room was below expected level of cleanliness for Japan. Windows especially dirty - as if not touched for months. Mentioned to management next morning and so, room was more deeply cleaned but window missed. Mentioned to manager again the following day, and left a note for the cleaners after which, the issues were addressed. Final night, the room was clean and felt more comfortable, but shouldn't have to push so hard to get a room just to the appropriate standard.
