Super convenient location with just 4 minutes walking distance to the JR station. Lots of good izakayas or ramen restaurants nearby. Although there was not much interaction, the family who run this place was super nice. They allowed me to store my luggage in the facility overnight for free after my check out. It was kept in an unattended place where the entrance was unlocked. I used my own padlock and chain and my luggage remained safe.

The main entrance to the building was lock-free. Although the door knob to the room could be locked, it seemed quite easy to be unlocked without a key. A strong sense of security is needed to stay in this place lol. The facility was rustic and didn't appear very clean. However my stay was still quite sort of comfortable. With 3000yen per night occupying the whole room and with its perfect location, there is really nothing to complain about.

I own the big traditional room for myself and have my own bathroom with very good prices and near the Jr and bus.

The Japanese style toilet is really difficult to use.

Excellent host. Room is comfortable. Large mirror and Dyson hairdryer for girls. Lovely cats in the common area.

No elevator, so you will hear people moving luggages up and down the stairs.

This hotel is so cool. The room had fun lights and what I needed for a short stay. There were little touches too, like a complimentary bottle of olive tea (delicious). The owner Showichi Ogasawara is an absolute gem. He gave me great recommendations and I could play with his cat (the other one was too shy). It is a budget hotel - but one of the coolest I've stayed at. Oh yeah - there was a Dyson hairdyer in the room.

That I didn't stay longer! Great hotel, great city, great people.

I loved the location, it was both close to the station and there were cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff was extremely friendly. The hotel was super funky, filled with cute souvenirs, art work and books. The room had everything we needed.
