The view is spectacular that Angel's Road is right in front of you. I enjoyed the meals as well, which the hotel has been very considerate to change the menu for our two night stay, so that we won't be having the same menu. It is our first time trying tatami and public onsen, it is more comfortable than we expected.

It would be great if the hotel booking site can offer more option on the meal, it was preset to be the basic meal type, but I realise some of the guests are having a more expensive course menu where we are not able to book via the website. Bottle water is not offered in the room. Water is prepoured inside a kettle but we are not really comfortable with drinking with prepoured water, so we have to get our own water from supermarket nearby

I stayed for three nights as the Kairo while I explored the islands. My room was amazing, I found the futon on the tatami mats so comfortable. I loved the hot springs. The staff were so kind and drove me to the ferry point every morning and back in the afternoons. Staying on the hill above town was a great experience.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit old but the location is great and I particularly love the patio and the view of the angel’s road and the sea.

The breakfast and dinner included were generally satisfactory but the fried dishes seemed to be a bit not that fresh.

Absolutely lovely! Beautiful and majestic old-school onsen hotel. Fantastic view. Lovely onsen. I changed my plans just to enjoy it for another day. Note: there is a shuttle bus pick-up at the port (bus will come within 15 minutes when you call (before 6pm)) - you'll see the pick-up point in front of the low building). There are also drop-offs scheduled in the morning. Great big breakfast. Bicycle available to order.

Beautiful view and convenient walk to Angel Road. They include breakfast and dinner service and the food is excellent. Maybe the lack of eateries that open late at night and early morning so they provide it.

A lot of reviews said run down, it is a bit rundown. But it is a fully functional hotel with good facilities.

the food was okay. it was a little difficult to get up but they provide transport to go up and down. the hotel seems to be half renovated and half not.

5 ** I am appreciate they came to pick me up after their pick up time in evening. U can visit Angel Road in its best time, even in early morning. Great indoor & open air onsen. I t's my unforgettable experience.

Authentic Japanese food (washoku) & ambiente, great service, comfy lounge with 24/7 free coffee, onsen, amazing view, nice staff and charming rooms

"Mountain View" rooms are more like "backyard view"

We went there by car. And its very hard to find the only road that leads to the hotel. The sign is quite small and only in japanese.

Views do not get better than this. Bedrooms large and futons comfortable. The view from the onsen is stunning. Nice staff.

About 20 minutes walk to the ferry but they do have shuttle taxis for free.
