Hotel GrandBach was perfect for our stay in Tokyo. The location in Ginza couldn't have been better. The room was a good size, clean and we also had a beautiful view out our hotel window. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was really good. I would recommend this hotel for the price in a second.

A very well-located hotel - 5 minutes walk from the main Ginza shopping area, and less than 10 min walk to Tsukiji Market. Easily walkable to several train lines. Staff are amazing. They were polite and helpful. In particular, they were very patient when a couple of issues arose. First, my parents reported an issue with the bidet in the toilet bowl, and they responded within the hour to try and fix the bidet. They were also very accommodating with room changes when the bidet could not be fixed despite their best efforts. Second, I carelessly left my luggage lock in the room when I checked out, and flew back home without it. Yet, the staff communicated patiently with me through email, and worked with me on getting my lock back. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable, with a sizable and comfortable sitting area. The bathroom has both a shower and a bath tub for soaking, which is nice. The TV is a smart TV that allows you to play youtube. There is ample wardrobe space to hang your coats etc. and useful amenities such as wet towels that you can bring outside and use when you tour Tokyo.

For light sleepers, specifically on Saturday night, if you stay in the Corner Rooms and Superior Rooms, you may be disturbed by the sound of racing cars plying the road (despite the soundproofing of the windows), since these rooms directly faces the main street (which is nice for allowing natural light to come in, but not as great for keeping loud car engine sounds out). I would suggest using ear plugs. This only happens on Saturday nights, apparently. We didn't hear those cars on the other nights we stayed. The Double Room which I stayed in was a very comfortable, but it had no natural light coming in since it directly faced the side of another hotel.

Decent room size and also had a desk where I could work.

The room gets quite hot and they don’t allow guests to control the air conditioning. So every time it got hot, I had to call the front desk to reduce the room temperature. We stayed here for 5-6 nights and they only changed the sheets and towels, I was hoping they also vacuum the room at least. The floor got quite dirty by the end.

Location is incredible. So easy to access many restaurants, shopping, and main lines of any train to connect you anywhere. Perfect place to call home base if you are going in many directions in Tokyo during your stay. Free minibar and complimentary water bottles! Hotel was built in 2020’s so it’s relatively new and kept up well. LOVED the weighted comforter. The room layout was nice, but it is tight quarters as with most rooms in Tokyo. There were only two of us, but it felt close especially since two beds are pushed together, there are no aisle gaps. There were only about 7-8 rooms on each floor so it’s very quiet. Very nice skin care kit they provide from local Japanese brand.

The lobby was always very hot and stuffy with a lingering sulfur smell that never went away during our week stay. This didn’t travel to any other floor or rooms, just the lobby area. In the room, The A/C didn’t seem to be working even when the fan was on high..we couldn’t hear or feel any difference. It was winter so it was temperate, but we wanted some airflow to the room to alleviate feeling stuffy and have some fresh air coming through. Just double check the air con situation!

The location was excellent. near enough to all the Ginza attractions and train stations located near by. The classical music theme was love, as a classical musician. We stayed in a superior twin room then moved to a standard twin and the size and finishings were such a contrast. Much smaller and lacking some decorations that I appreciated like a history music book. Much 'poorer' in feel even though it's still expensive. But can't fault the location and superior rooms if you can get them reasonably priced.

I found the staff cold. The standard rooms were such a noticeable downgrade. Suggest to the hotel to work in the finishings. Also, staff were polite but by no means friendly. I felt like I was putting them out the few times I approached them.

The corner room is BEAUTIFUL. The features in this room were amazing and it was very comfortable.

We arrived at 2pm and check-in was at 3pm. They told us we could check-in an hour early for an additional 400 yen. For ONE HOUR seriously? It was a joke. If they want customers to return they should really rethink their policy. We don’t just come back for a fancy room. Also the hotel breakfast was very expensive. It would be nice to have a cheaper option for those staying in the hotel.

The property exceeded our expectations. Although a limited menu, the breakfast and service were excellent. Our room on the 15th floor had spectacular views. It was awesome to enter our room and be greeted with Bach music playing and a stocked mini-bar. The corner room was wonderful and bonus, we were able to login into our Netflix account to watch movies in English. Otherwise the only English Channel is the BBC. Loved the wet room shower/tub. Best rain shower and water pressure. Ok, you will be spoiled with the Japanese separated water closets and washet toilet system. The staff were excellent. Had live music at the bar during our stay. Location is perfect for shopping, restaurants and transportation access.

Wish they utilized the ground level restaurant for breakfast. Tables would be better rather than cocktail table height. If the tv had more of a swing arm that would be more comfortable to view in the corner room layout when you sit at the couch. The tv doesn’t turn enough for better viewing if you sit there. Overall these are minor items.

Great location — a quick 7 - 10 minute walk to shopping and restaurants (Ginza 6, Tokyu Plaza, etc). Next to 2 Lawson branches and a 7-11 2 mins away. Updated facilities with good amenities.

Limited of breakfast options — food was delicious but only 3 choices, the Japanese option didn’t change and the others repeated. Service at the restaurants were very slow taking over 15 mins in one case to serve the breakfast even with limited options. Some wait staff in both the 1st floor (breakfast) restaurant & the 2nd floor bar/lounge/brunch restaurant were downright rude.

Located within Ginza precinct and a short walk to 2 train stations. We stayed in a Superior twin room with extra bed for 3 adults and were happy with the 3 oversized single beds. Room for 3 suitcases . Room had luxe furnishings and included a 3 way bathroom with separate wet shower/bath room, toilet and vanity area so was very useful space. Small boutique style hotel, proving pj's and slippers and even facial treatments daily. Bar in lobby area was cute if not expensive; we did not try the restaurant on the ground floor as there are plenty of restaurants in the area.

Walking distance to the stretch of malls in Ginza and also to Tsukiji market. Love that there are 4 beds for 4 pax. Comfortable size. We sent our laundry out to be washed and when the laundromat picked up and delivered, hotel staff printed and left letters under our room door to notify us. There’s a Lawson right downstairs and another Lawson and Family mart opposite.

Staff were friendly but when we asked about nearby car rentals, or routes to other prefectures, they needed to look it up as well. It’s 4-star but there’s no gym. Listing says this hotel is affiliated to a nearby gym but staff says there’s no connection. Hotel also does not provide body lotion which is highly unusual, especially in winter. Hotel lobby bar closes at 11pm which they’re very strict about, not allowed to sit and finish your drink.
