Room is clean and well-maintained. The staff cleaned the room every day even when we did not request for it. All needed amenities were provided (body soap, shampoo, conditioner, tissue, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairdryer and TV). There are also a lot of electric sockets. A common kitchen is available for use in the first floor and we can get hot water for free. Location is very much accessible from Ikebukuro station, C1 and C2 exits. It is also close to many famous restaurants and tourist spots. Ikebukuro station is also connected to various Tokyo train lines which made our commutes more efficient.

Walls are thin. We can sometimes hear noises from the other room and from outside because we are in the first floor. The washroom is a bit small and the ceiling is low so one of our trip companions had to scooch down or just sit in the tub so he can use the shower.

The room was bigger than expected for one person. Many amenities (towel, hangers, toothbrush set) were provided. There's a common kitchen with all utensils and cutleries convenient for cooking. I had a pleasant stay for 8 days! Would like to highlight that the hostel is near "Fukutoshin line" Ikebukuro station. It's a little distance from "JR line" Ikebukuro station but its connected underground. Just follow the sign towards "Fukutoshin line", exit through C1 and the hostel is a few minutes away. If you have luggage, exit through C6 with an escalator. Hope this helps!

Can be a little noisy when guests and staff roam around or talk loudly.

Great location (close to exit C or D of Ikebukuro Station - around 5-10 mins walk, no worries about lugging luggage around, there is an elevator close to the exit) Daily housekeeping/new sheets - very impressive for the price Great price and generously spacious room provided. The communal kitchen and showers were stocked for travelers. Commendations for staff for being multilingual for guests

I had to remove a point as the walls are a bit thin so it can be noisy/disruptive for your sleep. Light sleepers bring ear buds. Notably, to help with guests there is a luggage lift to upper floors. Unfortunately, some guests forget to close the lift doors after receiving their luggage causing the lift door open alarm to be switched on around 6am in the morning. The alarm doesn't stop until doors are closed so I had to lumber downstairs to turn it off; I hope the hosts find a solution to prevent this in future.

Good value for money room that was the perfect size imo for a solo traveler as compared to the dorms or capsule style hotels I was living at most of my trip and was overall a very clean and comfortable experience Great location being only less than a minute's walk from the station exit, close to many food options nearby and very walkable (~8m?) to the primary Ikebukuro city area.

Unfortunately, I got the 4th floor room which made it slightly annoying to leave or go back to my room every time despite there being a luggage elevator. Especially with the laundry area being outside between the main and secondary buildings. The water pressure and temperature control for the shower were also kind of questionable but good thing is that you only share the shared toilet area with 2 other rooms

Of all my 5 trips to Japan, I stay here at every trip with no regrets. Location: Super convenient as it is only 3 minutes walk away from exit C1 of Ikebukuro station. Very convenient for a location in Tokyo. Staff: Super friendly and speak English. Helpful and warm as well. Room: Clean, spacious enough to put 2 luggage for 2 pax, and still have leftover space to put more stuff Toilets: Clean and well provisioned. Even have laundry machines for you.

Facilities were minimal, but not an issue for me as I am paying for a guesthouse and not a hotel.

I was really impressed by how spacious the room was, especially for the price in Tokyo! Everything we needed was provided in the room, and I enjoyed the chance to stay in a place with a futon. The laundry area is located outside, which is great because it keeps the room quiet even when doing laundry. The host was incredibly helpful, they assisted us with luggage storage and explained how to use the luggage delivery service. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

The laundry area being outside means it has limited hours, so it’s not available for use late at night.

Quiet, spacious room with space for 3 large suitcases. Good bathroom facilities to people ratio! Homey feel with communal kitchen

No fridge in room - would prefer fridge to TV screen. No need for TV. Wish there were signs not to leave toiletries in bathroom area (many guests did this and it cluttered the sinks). Perhaps include a basket for people to store toiletries in so the counters remain clear. An ice machine would be nice in summer :)

The easy walk from the train station and the convenience of access to Shibuya etc. Quieter part of Ikebukuro yet great little restaurants and 7 Eleven nearby and easy to get to the busier areas of Ikebukuro. This was where we stayed for two nights when we first arrived in Tokyo. It was easy to get to from the airport even as novices to the train system and we liked the traditional Japanese style accom as our first introduction into Japan. Has a little fridge, private bathroom and there was a common area in the entry with cold water station and more fridges, I think there may have been a microwave too. For 3 girls with big suitcases it was also a manageable space.

The room is very good. There is a separate toilet and shower room, which is convenient to use. There is a washing machine for use. There is a communal kitchen where you can cook simple meals. There are many hangers in the room. The accommodation also allows you to store your luggage.Exit Ikebukuro Station, look for the west exit, exit C1, there is an elevator coming up near the accommodation.

I would like to set a time for using the washing machine because it is near the room and disturbs my rest.

we love staying in the quiet neighborhood, stay in house ikkebukuro is like a home for us wish we will be back again love the laundry machine and the dry machine :) . i paid 300yen for 1.5 hour drying and its perfect dry i also love the idea to lock up our suitcase outside the room, since the room is quite small :) tatami is always the best for us :) no pillow and mattress issues at all

no near bus airport shuttle to narita , haneda only since we find quite difficult bring big luggages using train/metro instead of bus
