THE LOCATION!! Shimokitazawa is an amazing place to stay, always buzzing with cool people. Mecca of vintage shops. Direct train to Shibuya or few stops from Shinjuku. It was nice to come back everyday. Excellent ramen restaurants. We liked Illi com superior apartment 402. Very cool and big. We were 3 and found it great to have our own space at time.

Didn't like the bathroom, that is a real let down for me. The shower, is a sort of plastic shower like in a motorhome. Seriously not to the standard of all the hotels with stayed over 3 weeks. The bathroom is big but not well thought through. The + is the washer dryer but that is it for the bathroom. Time to invest in proper material and design.

We loved everything about the property! It was so stylish, big and comfy and perfect for our stay in Tokyo. Shimokitazawa is such a fun area, there is cafes, bars, shopping (lots of vintage) and the train line right on your doorstep! You are spoilt for choice. Beds were super comfy, the bathroom configuration was perfect for a group, one end was a toilet with a door and other end was a shower with a door and the huge double sink/bathroom space in the middle. We ate out mostly but the kitchen seemed very well equipped! Would definitely stay again!

Would have loved an iron! We washed some clothes but then couldn’t wear them because they were so creased. Also perhaps a secondary lock inside as the Apt level is accessible by the public (and there is bar/live music venue on weekends on the floor below) just for an added layer of security! In saying that I never felt unsafe and never saw anyone else other than guests on our floor.

The location is close to the metro station and there are many second-hand shops and restaurants in the area, so very convenient. The room was surprisingly big for a Tokyo hotel room and way exceeded our expectations in that regard, with a small living room and a large table. It was quite clean and comfy by my standards.

- The entrance was sorta hard to find and walked past it for the first two days we stayed there, so a more conspicuous sign may be needed. - Google Map guided us onto a steep slope when we first arrived so we were worried about moving around with large suitcases. - Sorta loud at night - Not enough space above one of the beds and narrowly missed hitting my head when climbing up.

The apartment is very spacious, stylish and offers great comfort. The balcony is a big bonus. The dining and living area is superb and makes it very enjoyable to relax and wind down after a long day of sightseeing. Shower and restroom facilities are very clean and very modern. Location wise there is no better choice in Tokyo, from food and shopping to the general connection to other interesting areas of the city.

There is a lack of storage for clothes. The right side of the wall next to the entrance has enough space for a proper wardrobe. Also some rails to store towels in the bathroom would be a welcome addition. Sadly there was no iron and ironing board for that matter. Also there is a washing machine but a bigger rack would also be welcome. These are by no means serious issues with the apartment more like some suggestions to take this from a great choice to a perfect one!

A styley well-equipped and spacious apartment. Love the decor! Right amongst great spots for thrift shopping and to grab food. It’s only a 3min walk up the main lane way to the train station and on an express train, less than 10mins to central Shibuya. Rm 501 doesn’t have the bunk set up (as seen in most pics) - instead it has 2 separate dbl beds on one end of the apartment and a 3rd dbl bed at the other end of the apartment. 501 also has its own balcony. The washer/dryer combo in the bathroom with laundry detergent pods was really great!

Entrance was a bit hard to find at night

Awesome room size, as per the pictures. Very comfy beds. Awesome for travelling with my 3 year old kids. Had plenty of room and didn't feel like we were all stacked on top of each other. The staff were friendly and happy to help, including with a request for additional towels.

It was a spectacular room to book and I would stay again, however it was a little tricky to find initially. The signage was very subtle - perhaps something a little bolder and bigger or even some street photos as part of the check in pack.

Great location, very close to the train station, quick and easy commute to shibuya and shinjuku (and elsewhere directly as well). The place was very clean and comfortable, with lots of space to spread out and some privacy between guests in the room if needed. The room/apartment itself was very nice to spend time in. Cool neighbourhood, lots to do.

Outside of the hotel’s control, but the area is very noisy at night time (I think it’s across from a nightclub and nights it was open, the ear plugs provided were absolutely necessary). Also, the door to our room had no sound proofing (could clearly hear other guests as they passed to go on/off the elevator - probably not an issue for higher up apartments/rooms). Not big issues unless you’re sensitive to noise.

I loved this apartment! It is a great size - we are a family of 4 and didn't feel cramped or crowded at all. The dining table is huge! The beds are comfy and the location is amazing! An easy walk from Shimo-Kitazawa station and close to many restaurants and shops. There was very little street noise so we slept well each night! 100% recommend!

It would have been good to have some kitchen supplies - no tea, coffee, salt, sugar was provided. No toaster was also annoying at breakfast time. It would also have been great to have a few more doorstops - the bathroom doors were so heavy and we wanted to keep them open.

Contactless check in was seamless and the owners felt easy to get a hold of if needed. They were very responsive and helpful to questions in the lead up to our stay and shared clear instructions for finding the property.

The inability to open a window and allow in some fresh air but this didn’t impact our stay and we loved the property.

Great place located in Setagaya - right in the thick of shops and eateries. Conveniently located within short walk of subway station, with numbers shops and eateries to explore. Short subway ride to Shibuya. Self check-on worked out without problems. Hosts were generally very responsive via email.

There is a cafe/club on floor below so there was some noise in evening, but didn't bother us overall.
