Smallest room I've ever seen, but I guess that's just Japan. No closet, just beds and small table and refrigerator. AC and wifi working like charm. Some reviwers complained about hair on the floor, but I think this is out of controll of staff and owner, since they would have to have one person just to pick up hair all the time, since people do not clean after themselves and I think if you decide for this kind of option (shared showers and toilet) you should be avare of others too and clean after use.

Cute & quiet neighborhood. Functional kitchen and common areas. Warm room! Desk in the room. I like the area of Kita-Senju. It’s not too busy and their is easy train access with lots of walkable areas and yummy food. Best water pressure in all of Asia! Decent wifi and the laundry is free. For the most part, people respected quiet hours. Lots of sentos nearby.

I was here for a week and not once did they clean the shared bathrooms. The cleaning staff only comes in once per day at 11am to fix up the bedrooms after someone checks out. Yes, we should clean up after ourselves but there are many people using the restrooms and they need to be formally cleaned. They also won’t clean your room at all until after you check out. It says they have bikes to rent but actually they don’t maintain them so they are unrentable which was sad because the area is very bikeable. Staff was never around, only for check-in and he was just okay vs. being welcoming, but its all good. I would stay again but as a hostel they should hire someone to clean the bathrooms! The beds are really bendy and it’s strange but livable. The room is tiny so keep that in mind.

Located near kitasenju station (5mins away) which is very convenient since it is connected to a lot of train lines. The place is also located near convenience stores, affordable dining places, and a mall so you don't have to worry about food and other essentials. Property sent instructions before check in. Beds are comfortable. Towels, toiletries, and a hair dryer are provided. There's also a table and a small fridge inside the room and a microwave in the hallway. My favorite thing about this place is that they let you do your laundry for free! There is only one washing machine and dryer but we were able to use it when we needed to. A clothes steamer is also available for use. The neighborhood is quiet but there are a lot of restaurants around. There's also a nearby park where you can sit and read. I really love this place, it's very affordable compared to the other properties that I stayed in before. I hope it's available the next time that I'm in Tokyo!

No elevators but the staff will help you with your luggage, just ask them. Room is a bit small. If you have two large luggages, you'll need to take turns packing your things. Wifi is okay, but it disconnects sometimes.

Great location only a 5 minute walk from a well-connected train station. Lots of food options in the area. Overall, a great value for money, room was air conditioned and beds were comfortable. Mini fridge/freezer was also a bonus!

Shower/sink areas could have been cleaner as there was often hair all over the floor and in sinks. Sound travels easily through the doors so highly recommend bringing ear plugs, especially if you are staying on the first floor!

Excellent location being a few blocks away from Kita-Senju Station, which has metro and train lines. The place is cozy, clean and very welcoming. I liked that you can manage yourself since you have a key for your room and a code. The beds are really comfortable and has AC unit for both cold and hot.

Nothing, everything was smooth

Quiet & comfortable - super soft beds! Great amenities in the common area/kitchen. Good clean showers & bathrooms. Nice location - plenty of food options & convenience stores nearby & close to subway links.

Room slightly on the small side & close to the front door of the property but no real issues. We arrived 15 minutes after the 11pm check in cut off which meant we had to pay a fee - not a great option for 24/7 check in service if you’re arriving late.

Good value for money. Very responsive to messages via booking website. Staff on-site helpful and friendly. The room is small so set your expectations accordingly. Good location near the subway station, shops, supermarket, cafe. I liked the neighbourhood. Shared common area is also small unfortunately so can get crowded if many guests want to use at the same time. Free use of washing machine and dryer, though the dryer took a while to dry clothes. Clothes iron also available. Showers and toilets were adequately clean, could do better imho. Kitchen was OK with cooking oil and seasonings. No tea/coffee provided. There's a small fridge in the common area with seasonings etc but this looked like it had not been cleaned in the past twelve months. The bedroom has a private fridge fortunately. Walls are thin so bring ear plugs.

Common areas to be more clean and tidy

Nestay is only 5-10 walk from the Kita-Senju station so it was perfect for us to access the JR lines and use our pass. It was really clean. We had bunk beds which were easy to access and very comfortable. The shared bathroom facilities were always clean and despite being shared by several rooms, they were always available when we needed them. The room was small but we were only there to sleep. There are plenty of 7/11s close by, as well as a shopping centre and excellent supermarket within 10 min walk. The neighbourhood was also very cool. Fantastic accommodation and would stay again.

My only concern was the lack of soundproofing. People using the shared area could be heard easily and TV sounds, talking and snoring from other rooms could be heard. We used ear plugs which definitely helped and there were strict times for usage of noisy activities.

The hostel is 8-min walk away from the station. It’s near some restaurants and konbinis. It’s clean. Has separate toilet for male and female but has mixed shower rooms. They have “quiet hours” so we weren’t allowed to use the shower and laundry late at night. We ended up washing our clothes from a coin washer outside.

It’s 5-10 minute walk to JR Kita Senju station. You have your own fridge, television on a twin room.

Shower time starts at 7am and ends at 1am. Not a good time for us because we can’t take our shower at 6am and we usually start touring around at 7am. Also there’s only a small space for our two extra large luggages on the twin room so we had a hard time packing up together.
