- THE VIEW! of all the hotels to stay at in Shimbashi, this is the one for the unobstructed view of the city skyline and Mount Fuji in the distance. I tried my luck booking this over New Years for my partner and I and we got super lucky that on New Years Day 2024 we woke up to perfect bluebird skies and Mount Fuji in the distance. It was absolutely unforgettable. - Our room as mentioned had a giant window to Tokyo and the beds and pillow were suitably comfortable. A decent sized bathtub was welcome to soak in after a long days walking. There is also a comfortable chair with an ottoman but the window ledge itself has a soft cushion to sit on too watch the world below go by. - The hotel itself is a 4 star but has all the appearances of a plush 5 star hotel. The lobby on the 25 floor has floor to ceiling walls looking out to greater Tokyo from Shimbashi, with all the tallest buildings in Tokyo visible as well as Tokyo tower. - As an art appreciator, the plethora of curated works around the hotel is a welcome addition, only a shame that when I booked none of the art themed rooms were available. - As part of the Shimbashi business district the building is well connected to the metro with konbini in the basement levels as well as some good stores. The walk to the JR line is longer than it seems, so be wary of that if you're trying to maximise your JR Pass. - There are coin operated washing machines and dryer available should that be needed. - Even though most things were shut because of new years, we still found plenty of places to dine out at around the Shimbashi area.

- Shimbashi is mainly a financial district, which means in the evenings the surrounding towers seem dead. But a short walk and you'll find bustling bars, izakayas right around the corner. - Shimbashi back in the day had a bit of a reputation, but like most things in Tokyo, it's only there if you actively search for it.

The view is fantastic and the way the hotel has been themed as an art hotel is a really fun touch. We arrived early and the staff were very accommodating and even upgraded us to allow us to check in early. The room was nice and comfortable.

The breakfast is probably not worth it. It leaves a lot to be desired for a hotel of this calibre. The location of the hotel is not great, being in between several multi lane highways, so not very accessible if accessibility is an issue for you.

Train station was on B1 of elevator..super convenient and family mart was downstairs with a heap of restaurant and shopping options. The views were spectacular from our triple corner room (level 34 - the highest) and also from the hotel lobby (could see Mt Fuji on a clear day). Staff were exceptionally polite and helpful and the art exhibition through out the hotel was awesome too. Rooms were roomy for Japan comparisons.

The cleaners made the beds, emptied the bins and restocked amenities but didn’t clean bedside tables, window sills or bathroom. Restaurant menu was over priced with very small portions and the menu food options did not suit Japan.

Park Hotel is a classy, art-driven hotel at the heart of Ginza. You pay for the location, the view, the service, and the art if you stay in one of their special rooms. I usually stay here during my last couple of nights every time I travel to the city because of easy access to everything (and of course, the view at the end of the day). In terms of cost-per-luxury, this is a very good deal before jumping into the next cost bracket.

If Japanese immersion is what you want, you won't find it here. It is not the hotel's fault, though the guests seem to be all foreigners (and some of them are quite obnoxious). Coming on a business trip and want to stay in a hotel for the view? This is your place. Looking to experience Japan for its culture? Perhaps look elsewhere. Finally, although you still get good value for your money, the hotel does scratch the cost ceiling of its bracket. Oh, and don't expect much nightlife around here. It's the business district, after all.

Park Hotel has (after trying many other hotels) become our first choice every time we're back in Tokyo. It is excellent from all points of view, including... the stunning view from rooms and lobbies, all located above 25th floor.

Only one thing used to be much better before covid: The vast and fabulous breakfast buffet, now replaced by a tiny little (and frankly boring) buffet in addition to a fix breakfast plate that you can choose between only two alternatives (American and another, but not Japanese). Please, Park Hotel, bring back your good old buffet.

First loved the check in floor. It was gorgeous and loved the art installation. The room was beautiful and it was cleaned everyday. The amenities where excellent such as washing your clothes and having dinner, complementary water and coffee. What can I say I would definitely stay there again.

It would have been nice to have a service from airport to hotel.

The views are spectacular and we got a room with a nice view for sun rise, even if at first we were dissapointed for not getting a room facing Mount Fuji. We could see Mount Fuji from the reception area The artist rooms are interesting as they are depicting some nice features of Japanese cultures. Of course, some rooms are nicer than others but we enjoyed ours There is Shiodome metro station very close by and you can easily move around

It is an expensive hotel and for how much we paid we would have liked that cleaning service was done a bit more thoroughly - for example the windows were not cleaned on the outside during our 2 weeks stay and they started to get dirty, the room started to get dust on furniture, a sign that cleaning service did not focus on this and we had to dust it every once in a while We tested the breakfast option at the restaurant and we were dissapointed - not worth it as it is expensive and has very limited options One day there was a fire somewhere around the hotel and we got a bit scared because there was a heavy smoke scent in our room at floor 31 - the big window offers a nice view but it is not so qualitative as to isolate the room from the outside

Great location. Nice views. Very clean. Be sure to take advantage of the underground shopping mall on the way to Shimbashi station.

Nothing really.

We absolutely loved our stay at Park Hotel Tokyo. It’s a true haven—quiet, serene, and beautifully tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo’s busy streets. Despite being in a prime location, it feels like a peaceful escape above the city. Getting around couldn’t be more convenient—the monorail is accessible right from the 3rd floor and the subway is just downstairs in the basement. Whether you’re heading to the major sights or exploring hidden gems, everything is within easy reach. The atmosphere, the service, and the location made my stay truly memorable. If you’re looking for a relaxing and artful experience in Tokyo, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back! 💛

Breakfast could be better.

Room was pretty spacious compared to typical Tokyo hotel rooms. Very Clean. Staff was really pleasant. View outside the hotel room and in the lobby is exceptional. Great location - very close to ginza and walkable to restaurants and lively streets. Family mart on b2. Also very close to the fish market - about a 15 min walk.

Only negative - there is no gym, but I knew that when booking.
