A cosy ryokan style hotel, there was a Japanese tatami mat room and a western style room. There are three onsen. Two lovely inside private onsen that you reserve by flipping the sign on the door. There’s also one great outside onsen that allows men and women at separate times. Easy walk to the main parts of Yufuin. We were able to park our car there and walk around the town before check in. The owner was really lovely and welcoming and she even took a picture for us before we left.

I didn't eat breakfast here. As for the location of the accommodation, I'm not sure how much because I have my own car, but if traveling by train, you have to drag your own luggage. It may be a bit of a walk. There is an onsen outside the hotel that is very nice to use, but the weather was too cold. It's a shame we didn't use it. There are free bathing equipment available to use. Free parking

The lodging is a nice, quaint set up with an inhouse onsen cleverly carved out from the rocks. The room we were in looks into the garden. The beds are comfortable. The shared wash area is kept clean at all.times. There was privacy at the onsen and we spent time and really enjoyed it. The lady boss of the hotel was exceptionally friendly, hospitable and generous. She saw to it that we had what we needed - heat pads, hand cream, beer, coffee (available round the clock). We were welcome to eat the food we bought from outside in the hotel restaurant.

We were awakened in the night by people lugging tbeir bags when they checked in. Sound-proofed rooms would be fantastic!

Cute hotel with FANTASTIC onsen, good breakfast, good WiFi, easy walk to station, and nice staff. Both the outdoor and indoor Onsen are great at this hotel! The outdoor onsen was especially beautiful and definitely the highlight. Everything here was comfortable, clean, and nice. The walk to the station is easy in good weather (about 15 min) and takes you along a beautiful river. It’s also walking distance to a few other onsen if you want to go to a variety of facilities. I would definitely recommend this place.

Such sweet people. Due to terrible Shikansen delays we arrived very late and thr onsen was about to close. They kept it open for us for a little longer so we could soak the long day of off us. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. And the ouside Onsen is lovely.

Wonderful lady who runs the place was very kind and helpful. The indoor baths were very nice and relaxing. Great location and view out of the window. A very nice experience.

I wish there was a way that a couple could use the beautiful outdoor bath.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel was also really nice and we loved the hot springs. Both the public and family baths were super nice. I highly recommend staying here.

Lovely lady who ran the pension was very helpful, informative and attentive. Close to supermarkets and local attractions. Enjoyable getting around the pretty township by foot!

The staff was incredibly kind and the availability of several onsen inside and outside was amazing. Breakfast is tasty and the centre of the town is just a short walk away. I would definitely recommend it if you plan to stay in the area!

Lodging does not include breakfast. Only coffee and tea are available at the common living room. We bought food from nearby shops so it wasn't an issue. We love the family onsen.
